heard a rumour that chelsea, man city and Manchester United are after our 15 year old gk robbie mccrorie, if this is true its brilliant that we're still producing some quality youngsters, anyone seen him play and do you think its true?

ryanrfctillidie1

{Ed039's Note - Is this not a story from about a year ago?)

1.) Tell the lad to go allyy won't give him a chance

2.) 01 Mar 2014 18:37:45
The article is correct. Manchester united have been keeping a close eye on his progress!

3.) Saw him in the Victory Sheild this year and looked quite a good Keeper but still only 16. His brother played right back for Scotland as well and he looked better

4.) I heard this earlier in the week aswell

5.) 02 Mar 2014 09:04:13
Would it not be in the best interests of the club to hold onto the boy for a few years, if these top teams are sniffing then clearly the lad is likely to be a sellable asset in the coming years!

How can a left back "look better " than a keeper. don't get that mate. Its a peice that's been doing the rounds for a year rite enuf ED. If the boy is valuable then put a price on his head that reflects that in todays marketplace. We have been renowned for letting players go for coppers. If the boy makes it then good luck to him. Hope its with Rangers

{Ed039's Note - Yes but look back the last 30 years or so, Alan McGregor is the only goalkeeper I can think of that made first team from youth set up)

7.) Simply meant if I had the choice of the two based upon what I saw, then the right back looked the better player.

{Ed039's Note - The more promising player, I understand what you are saying)

8.) 02 Mar 2014 22:46:04
Me too mols. didn't mean any offence m8. And I wrote left instead of right back. watp

9.) I don't why you are concerned about this GK. When administration arrives they will get him on a free transfer anyway

rangers to sign former west brom defender gabriel tamas on a pre-contract deal for next season

ryanrfctillidie1

1.) A 30 year old who's not played much football recently with disciplinary problems isn't really what Rangers need.

2.) Good signing if true but what kinda wage would he be looking?

3.) Ah! Youth policy strikes again! Up and coming 30 year old! Waste of money!

4.) As a Celtic fan I laughed when you signed Davie weir! Turned out to be a great servant at his age so age counts for nothing! Bit of experience to guide younger defenders around him?

just heard a rumour that madjid bougherra wants to return to rangers and he said if he could, he would play for free, any thoughts?

ryanrfctillidie1

1.) Play for free, eye right!

2.) Would have him back in a flash, ok I know his statement said would play for nothing and we know this is an exaggeration, but boy on the cheap in place of a few other defenders we have then it would be some signing at our current level.

3.) He'll never play for free but maybe we could offer him a few k per week if we offloaded some of the dead weight! Would be a good Centre Half for another 3/4 seasons!

4.) Hope its true him and big bilel nice pairing watp

full back andy mitchell has left rangers by mutual consent, wasn't going to get into the first team so good luck to the lad.

ryanrfctillidie1

1.) Am I missing something? I thought it was players like Mitchell we should be keeping, he's a young low earner, should it not be high earners that are leaving?

2.) What you on about why would we keep him hasn't impressed me that's why he went to Annan on loan didn't set heather on fire there either

3.) @2 to be fair Mitchell did well at the tail end of
last season no worse than Faure or Foster who are probably on a far higher wage than him.
Another young player leaves. Good luck and hope you prove that there is still a future in the game after leaving Ibrox.
McCormack, Burke, and Adam are a few names that spring to mind.

4.) Looks like the young man left without creating a fuss or demanding a huge payoff. A bit of dignity where's it's been lacking of late
