If we are about to commit £6m plus some level of loan fee plus wages then not for me. Ryan Kent is not worth that level of investment and the money should be spent on a left back. I agree £6m seems a little bit rich . I would want Kent back but think the fee should be putting us off. I also don’t agree with all this he’s better than we’ve got brigade . I have said on here before we play 3 up top with two of the space taken by Arfield and Alfie and personally I would start with Ojo, even if we have Kent back . I understand others see it differently I just think if we have that level of investment there are other areas of our starting line up we should be targeting first.

legitimate reason why he was voted the young player of the year! He's a cracking young winger in my eyes and we currently don't have anyone currently at ibrox better than kent.

I think kent comes and eclipses last season he will make us money. SG must think this or he wouldn't be spending this kind of money. Just now for me I would have front 3 of Kent morelos and jones. Ojo for me blows hot and cold. Don't get me wrong unplayable at times but passenger when cold. The player that I don't know where they fit is airfield. Midfield is pretty stacked the now. My preferred choice is Jack Davis and Aribo. Only problem I see just now is left back. I reckon medube could cover occasional game or Greg Stewart as 3rd strikers.

Yes he was decent for us last year but clearly no one in England shares your assessment of him or they would have snapped him if the valuation is truly £6m. If he comes back to us he will be welcome but have some doubts if he would play as often as last year and also whether we would end up recovering the valuation if sold in the future. I agree with the the lads above who think Ojo will prove to be more effective in terms of goals and assistants.

It does make me wonder why Liverpool have not received an acceptable offer from an English or European club and yet we are considering paying a huge (for us) fee.

I rate SG and his signings have been very good overall but I don’t see him as some messiah that can see something that no one else can.

I have my doubts about a £5m + purchase but we will all know in a few weeks.

I really don’t see the value in £6m plus probably a hefty sell on clause . Even if he comes back and does well why would anyone pay more than the £6m they could have got him for this summer.? Again I think we are writing Ojo off far too early . I remember being very underwhelmed by Kent at this stage last season . i think Ojo will double possibly treble Kent’s return in relation to goals/ assists from last year. Before all you guys start with all the normal but Kent played well against Celtic. Ojo has not had a chance at that yet let just see how he goes before running him down and pining for the return of the messiah.

I cannot believe all the experts on here saying how Ryan Kent couldn't improve our squad! And I don't want to hear about stats! If you watch his performances last season; in many games he did what SG did for Liverpool. he grabbed games by the scruff of the neck and dragged us over the line. And apparently 6 million is too much? How much is good value if we win the league?! If we paid 30 million and we won the league it would be worth it! 1.He would improve us massively. 2. He would boost our morale and give us the confidence to push on. If he gets tired or isn't playing well then we have Jones/ Barker/ ojo as we have further improved our squad. They can play instead of or with. he will make us stronger!
