Dunno if this is old news or not but does anyone know what happened with the Alegria deal or is it dead. Just seems strange we appealed to have the brexit deal pushed back then dropped all interest?

Yes Davie although I believe biggest issue is that his family want to own 20% off him. This is an issue in uk but not the likes off Spain and Italy.

Yeah I liked the look of him aswell John, but with Alfie, sakala, roofe and looks like Defoe may be staying I can’t see him coming now. Pity as he looks a real top prospect.

Would love to bring him in ship out itten on loan and give defoe a player coach role. Perhaps the parents owning 20% thing could be overcome by them effectively becoming his agent so finances for them could be written into contract. The boy looks deadly and possibly morelos could help swing things with him being Colombian, i wouldn't say its definitely dead as their has been no announcement regarding any team who he may be joining. Guess its just a wait and see scenario, i'd definitely want him here as he is still a teen so he wouldn't walk into lots of top clubs and demand automatic starting place so maybe he has a better chance with us? Fingers crossed 👌💙.

Could be wrong here, but I am fairly sure that third party ownership of players is not allowed in the UK.
