After wee bit research on info received at golf my contact told me the following.

Katic six month loan st Johnstone or Motherwell
Edmundson Motherwell loan

I like Edmondson as well - though I would have thought a loan down South would have suited him better.

MPH I think the spfl if he's getting games is a great idea they're being gauged against our opposition. They can't play against us and are nearer our staff to keep an eye on them. Were now talking about players that perform well for hibs being worth 4mill so why wouldn't it push up the value of our players. I'd hope there is a minimum games clause in these contracts it seems to allegedly happen to us so why not them.

Doesn’t make sense to loan out two CB defenders when Europe looms I think we need as many players available as possible if we are wanting to win the league and challenge for both cups aswell as play on the champions league squad rotation will be key.

Interesting John, either or both of these moves would be good for both player and us. Also allows us to keep close tabs on their performance just as we did with Kelly last year. I’ve heard Edmundson is being considered as replacement for Cooper at Millwall who could move on this window.

Katic could come in at SPFL to rest players but I can see them getting loaned out also.

Could it be Papetti 19 year old that plays in defence for Brescia, could not find the name you had but could easily be mixed up. Would need cover if letting both go out on loan. Personally I would see edmundson but Katie deserves a chance to see if he can get back to playing enough to get back in team.

I think Katic has a future with us. Think the loan deal would be excellent bit of business. Will get game time and experience. He looks a bit hot and cold season before last but that consistency will come. Has the physicality of a good commanding CB just needs the experience. Edmondson I was impressed by to start with. Looks decent enough but again needs games and time to develop. Both could come back in next season with Bologun contract up and think Hellander will go next summer. Great defender just lacks pace and wouldn't say he was a great communicator.

If the club can get both to be on the same team this would benefit the club massively as they would be playing in a cb partnership.

I just can't see us signing another centre back until a couple have gone. Papetti is an outstanding talent if that is who you are on about John. I don't think we could afford him to be honest. he's tipped to go to one of the Milan clubs or Juventus in the next year or two.

Sorry re posting wrong name in relation to Papetti, this is the name I was given yesterday.
Looked him up today, u guys r right looks a fantastic talent at 19.
Although playing about 20 games in serie B he looks the business, I’m told would cost less than 3 million pounds
As others say at least two would need to leave.
Could be a fantastic replacement for Goldston with potential for fantastic sell on value.
I could be wrong, but remember it’s a rumour site and if price is correct not out with our range.
