We won't be signing anyone unless we can find more Free Transfers! We will most likely let Golson run his contract down which will cost us at least £5m in potential lost revenue, the Board will be more concerned about Cinch than the rubbish we are seeing on the pitch, Gerard will continue to make excuses for the incompetent defending and Arfield will be retired off! Sadly, right now I don't see any good news. We appear to have players that can't play in front of a crowd, our captain isn't a leader and our DoF will continue to sign more poor players than quality players. meantime our major rivals will continue to bring in players, players that we discard will continue to play well at other clubs. The only good news for me is that we still have Morelos but will that still be the case at the end of August!

If we lose Morelos which we likely will, could we bring in the big no9 from Malmö amd partner him with roofe/ sakala? I really liked the look of him. We sell Kent replace with a proper winger of quality. And if we lose kamara go all in for veerman. Sell goldson amd sign a younger player with potential sell on, the boy from Holland was spoke about before? That’s still leaving a tidy profit for the debts and we have improved our starting 11.

I think Kamara and Morelos will be sold. Goldson will run his contract down. Sakala and Patterson will each have a wonderful season and we win the league. Crystal balls are great things if you have one but I had to use a golf ball instead. Chin up guys were still the champions 😊.

StevieG, I like your idea. The one person that I wouldn't sell right now is Morelos. Other than Roofe we have no other strikers. I would try and get rid of Itten, I just don't see him ever being the answer up front. We have to sell Goldson, we cannot afford to allow him to run down his contract and there are better centre backs if our DoF looked further afield. Whether we would spend proper money bringing in decent quality players is still open to debate especially since we have relied on Bosmans and some mediocre signings with few exceptions since Wilson came on board. If all else fails we need to give some of our youngsters the chance!

Tjrfc, I fully agree on Morelos. He is the one player that we cannot afford to lose.
I am beginning to doubt Wilson's ability in the transfer market. Allan brought in a large numb er off players but nine of those were the mainstream of the team that one us the league last year and he also managed to bring in Stephen Gerrard. Gerrard always said that we needed to keep adding quality players but Wilson has signed very few and of those he has signed I would suggest that Roofe and Hagi are the only two of any edit. McLaughlin might prove to be a decent goalkeeper but I doubt he will be a touch on McGregor and Zungu, Kamberi and Itten have been nothing short of a disaster. He needs to prove why he was brought in to replace Allen because right now I don't see him doing his job properly!

I can't see him staying around and watch his credibility destroyed because we sell out best assets and attempt to win the league and make a decent run in the minor European Competition with inferior players. Berkshire blue i really disagree about Wilson. Even for the simple reason that uber Allan we were getting 250k for first team players and we're now getting 800k-1m for 3rd choice players. We wouldn't have gotten roofe etc without Wilson and he is responsible for the restructure of the backroom with bisgrove etc. Happy we agree on morelos though. Rotten the amount of stick the boy gets from our own.

Tjrfc, we will agree to differ on Wilson. I understand your point on Bisgrove and I agree, but he is on the Commercial side and Wilson's priority should be supporting Gerrard put the best team possible on the Park. Yes, he would appear to be better at getting money in on players although the real proof of that for me will be if he is able to bank £15m for Kamara should we sell him and £25m + for Kent if he goes. I am just not impressed with his ability to find top quality players. I only see Hagi and Roofe, (assuming he can stay fit), as players that will make a serious improvement to the Team. The others, at best are nothing more than squad players and personally I believe that money has been wasted on Itten, and Simpson and Lundstrum worry me that they will be a waste of a wage. I sincerely hope that I am wrong!

Stevie G, I agree that Gerrard contributed to the defeat but poor signings and the lack of a quality squad certainly didn't help. Losing Kamara and Roofe through suspension was unfortunate but it should have been evident that with jack injured, (and unlikely to recover in time for Europe), and Arfield passed his best, (which was evident at the end of last season, we should have been taking action to sign quality players. We didn't, and one look at the bench on Tuesday showed that there wasn't one player that could have come on and make a difference. The sad fact is that the players haven't turned out for our two away games and our home game against Malmo and that in itself is a major problem and when you are paying £30k + a week to a player, irrespective of them coming on a Bosman, you expect them to hit the ground running and be a major contributor to the Team. Sadly Lundsrum is showing all the poor traits that he showed at Sheffield United last season that contributed to Sheffield United being relegated.
