Gerrard now a favourite for the Newcastle job, can't see it but if he thinks he has taken us as far as he can with his limited budget you never know.

He won’t be the next manager of Newcastle.

With the take over could sadly actually see this Happing the money he would get to spend would be a big factor plus he could be back down south near family hopefully it does not happen would cost them a lot to get Gerrard off us.

Daily rebel were trying to imply there was a rift with him and the board a couple of weeks ago then when everything happened at Newcastle they put him forward, pushed it and hyped it up. Keith Jackson and his pals are behind this and nothing to it.

With free agents like Conte and Zidane available I doubt Gerrard is at the top of any Saudi wish list to become next newcastle manager.

Next manager of newcastle Benitez or Rogers. And they will sign mbappe and Haaland. Gerard not got enough experience.

I would expect both clubs to pay dearly. Rangers could potentially lose all the back room staff and even Ross Wilson to Newcastle, I would expect millions in compensation. We may also lose quite a few players also, some to Newcastle and others. It has always been understood that no man is bigger than the club, and we can always rise and develop again, but the loss of all these resources would be difficult to replace even with the MILLIONS from Newcastle.

Sxmccr, please don’t worry, there is no way Newcastle and their new multi billionaire owners are considering Gerrard as manager and absolutely NO way they are thinking about buying any of our players. They are now pretty much the richest club on the planet, could afford to pick just about any players or manger they like, certainly in the same bracket as Man City and PSG in terms of wealth, and when was the last time either of those clubs were thinking about trying to buy any of our players? And do you think if Pep was to leave Man City they would turn to Gerrard? No I’m sorry, all this is is a load of crappy tabloids making up stories and trying to stir up the usual nonsense and being backed up by Celtic minded pundits like Alan Brazil and Mark Wilson, and then a load of punters reading crap like that and placing bets at bookies which then makes him the ‘bookies favourite’ (not to mention also making the bookies a crap load of money when all those folk are wrong, no wonder the bookies love it when the papers put out stories talking of ‘bookies favourites’, no collaboration going on there at all! ) The Daily Mail even tried this morning to claim that Gerrard was ‘intrigued’ by the prospect of managing Newcastle?!?! How they hell do they know what does or does not ‘intrigue’ Steven Gerrard.

Gerrard won't take any EPL job other than Liverpool.

Mbappe and haaland won't sign for Newcastle. They can have all the money the want, they will struggle to get the top top players to the North East of england.

Sxmccr there is zero chance of any of that happening. Think were very safe there.

Gerrard has said repeatedly that he will not manage an EPL team that would play Liverpool! He's not going to Newcastle.

Hendo they will not sign Mbappe of haaland no chance will either those players be at Newcastle next season.

All I can say to the above posts is - money talks.

If Gerrard were to be offered the job only a fool would think he would turn it down.

Baxter, if they were London based they would have had a slight chance. No way players like that move to North East of England, no matter the money. Also have to remember no European football, so I stick by my point, no chance of the very top players.

Definitely Newcastle won't be signing that quality of players no matter how much money they have but things could change in maybe a couple of years time if they start by winning the league and doing well in champions league, only then the likes of Haland Mbaye etc would maybe go to them but for an awful lot more money than the london and Mancher clubs are offering (near double) or they won't even consider it.

Ger i get your point but Newcastle are now richer than the top 10 clubs in Europe combined. Much more thanan city and PSG etc.

Watching the Newcastle V Spurs game yesterday I reckon that Bruce might stay with Newcastle at least until January and possibly the end of the Season. In many respects it would be a major risk for any manager to take the Newcastle job at present. They are a poor team and even with £millions spent in January they could easily still be relegated. The team lack confidence and is in need of major surgery across all areas of the Team. Add to that, there is no guarantee that they would get the players that they need and even then there is no guarantee that they will stay up!
