Yes I agree MrPH, however he is a first team coach, gerrard was an under 18 coach.
Mb and it’s only a guess, could have been Wilson asking him to step up to the plate and coach this week.

Well John either Gerrard did just leave on the Wednesday and villa got it done in a day or he’s been away longer so if it’s been a day villa managed it if it’s been longer rangers have had longer to get this sorted definitely won’t be the only club interested in gvb.

I have a feeling that Gerrard was aware the job at Villa would come up well before Smith was sacked and it is also interesting that there wasn't a massive clamour to keep him at Ibrox!
