Sevilla apparently bid £6.6m for Morelos, I get that he's in the final year of his contract but he's worth atleast 15m imo.

Was just about to post the same as John when I read that, If that’s the kind of deal being offered we’d be better keeping him and letting him walk next year with best wishes after hopefully delivering more success. You couldn’t replace what he brings to us with that kind of money. I still think he might sign a new deal with us. Looked totally re-energised under Gio before his injury, if he signed his new deal and then continued those levels of performance then he won’t be short of suitors and would bag us a good fee.

Agree john, it's very difficult to put a price on a player with one year left on his contract, but as john has posted rather let him go next season than take that offer, hopefully we can get him to sign a new contract soon, our most important player imo, would be very difficult to replace him.

If Morelos is fit and firing he gets us into the champions league and that offer is merely a ripple in the water. Would be shocked if we considered anything under 10M without a top target being teed up and ready to replace.

The message you will run down Thier contract and let that bidding team risk losing out on the player is a much better long term message to bidding clubs than letting him go on the cheap which affects the offers you get for long term contracted players too.
