I'll be honest and say I know nothing of Matondo, Filgini or Lawrence. I saw Colak play once on tv and once at Ibrox as I didn't make it over to Malmo. However if these are our signings, added to Souttar and Goldson extended, based on reports, this looks like excellent business with not a huge outlay. We may have interest in the 19 yo French attacker Abline. Also some great youths signed and potential for Ishaka and it's looking great.

If Roofe and Simpson can be sold, and maybe another sale as I suggested previously, like Kamara to go with Aribo, then maybe one more defender in assuming Helander or Katic leaves then it's tremendous.

If Kent and Morelos extend then it's outstanding.

Keep Bassey or sell for £20m plus and it's sensational.

Could be close to net zero spend with Itten and Wilson sales factored in. Then Ross Wilson has proven his worth.

I believe Park has been heavily involved in the recent signings/ potential signings and has been in the background for a while. Based on comments from someone who knows him well.

Qualify for the CL is critical but based on the above, is absolutely achievable. Plenty time for players to get to know each other.

Have to say i'm not convinced, Aribo for Lawrence, Colak for Itten (certain upgrade) and Matondo tricky little player will create chances but end product is lacking, the pace reminds me of Boyle who was built to cope with the Scottish scene. don't get me wrong i will reserve judgment until i see them in the flesh. Why are we not spending a penny? or is there a top signing still to come? £6m maybe We had a great season financially but we are acting as if there is no money. Appreciate part of task is to get some of the players off the book, not an easy task.

7.7 in for Aribo and Itten plus add ins and £300k for Wilson. If a Kamara is sold and we spend that on the others won’t be far off net zero. And great business too. Planning ahead with the youth talent is encouraging to see.

I'm not keen on players at the bottom end of the French league; only got to see how Zunga worked out. let's hope this guy is better.

I’m pretty excited by Matondo, looks like he’ll give us a bit of balance in the front three. He might be a little raw but I’m sure we’ll shape him into a very good player.

Matondo Cost 8 million a few seasons ago he's fell away a wee bit but still a decent player would expect us to get him for under £3million.

John what was Aribo wages over the years? Its not an increase in expenditure if it equates to the same? Just asking I don’t know the salaries.

TL as I can’t go anyone that drink drives we lost a family member to someone that done it. My wife is one of them and hates Callum McGregor with a passion because he done it also.

Sweep the French league is night and day Better than ours and to discredit players because they play there because zungu wasn’t great is narrow minded.

Aribo was worth £12-£15m any day of the week, maybe more in England. Stolen from us.

@Ibrox4me

Not sure your math is the best mate

Current spend is £1.8mil

All transfer fees involve two things

1 - Agent %
2 - Player signing fee %
3 - Transfer fee %

Agents fees are generally paid as an upfront cost, player signing fees can be paid in three ways

1 - Paid as a lump sum
2 - Split and paid yearly/ Quarterly over length of contract
3 - Paid weekly and added to basic weekly salary

A net zero spend would be the whole sum number taken at the end of each financial year

The figure as Rangers fans we should be looking at is the weekly salary budget

If we are successful in clearing all of the following as well as who has already left we will have cleared approximately £147.5k a week in wages

Approximate numbers only

Roofe - 32.5k
Simpson - 12.5k
Katic - 12.5k
Kamara 12.5k

Already gone

Aribo 12.5k
Balogun 12.5k
Firth 2.5k
Ramsay 30k (loan fee diveided weekly)
Amad Diallo 15k (loan fee divided weekly)
Itten 12.5k

This total saving would allow 6 quality signings on around £20-25k per week.
