I'm not sure on this one. He strikes me as a player who needs to feel at home, maybe needs an arm round him and given a chance.

Maybe we could provide that type of environment for him to really flourish.

As someone said, Makaay was a very very good striker working with him could spark him into life.

I don't think we will go for him unless Wolves allow a loan deal but can't see that as they looking for some of the 16mill they paid for this lad and his current deal has one year left I believe. Unless we get him at a significantly reduced price and they decide to cut their loses.

Don't know much about the wolves kid but EPL clubs pay way over the odds for potential so wouldn't read much into the price they paid. And failing there doesn't mean he can cut it here tho wolves have been desperate for a ST. I'm more concerned that he's had 3 loans and barely scored even tho played plenty. Roughly 1 in 10 record is hardly inspiring.

Have a look at his stats by club and by season on transfermarkt. His youth stats are great, first season in the Milan 1st team was good. Since then he's been shocking, irrespective of club. The boy has bags of talent, but i'd be amazed if he does anything other than score a couple of worldies and then go missing the rest of the season. We don't need a 5 goal a season striker. I could be wrong, we’ve turned players careers around before.

Goforbig he may just need the right club to kickstart his career and it could be us and it may not but if he has a couple of good seasons at a club then clubs from bigger leagues will come in to say they won’t because Is he has bombed out at a few is just Bs in my opinion. Some players just bloom late.
