From what I’ve heard
Outgoings
Roofe - Sheff Wednesday (Loan)
Sakala - unknown Spanish team loan with obligation to buy £2.5m
Simpson - asking price is nothing, however full wages would need to be covered
Kelly - Interest from hearts for perm and Motherwell and Kilmarnock Loan
Katic - Still wanted by Hjduk on reduced fee of around £1m (we want far more)
Zukowski - Apparently has turned up to training and really failed to impress, club are happy for him to leave on perm however would be open to loan with option to buy.
McCasuland - Off to Doncaster on loan

Club looking at the possibility of a 3rd striker, younger option with room to develop, Matthias Abline is highly rated by the scouting dept, early talks have taken place.
Club also open to a further midfield addition such a Darius Olaru.

Roofe can't go nowhere on loan just now RFC86777? He's behind alfredo on his fitness levels and with alfredo pencilled in for early september, roofe will be further back than that and therefore not fit to go to anyone as the window would be closed! I wouldn't be allowing roofe to go on loan anyway! I would love/ hope us to get to the bottom of roofe's injury problems and keep him ? It's fair enough if we get to january and gio decides he wants to sell roofe that's a different story but not on loan! However i do believe gio would definitely want to keep roofe if we do indeed get to the bottom of these injury problems he has because we all know how talented roofe is ?.

Get to the bottom of his injury problem he’s been injury prone his full career he’s mad a paper.

Everything I have heard points to the coaching staff being really impressed by zukowski attitude and his willingness to work hard. Apart from that you won't be far away, although I'd hate sakala to leave.

RFC great summation off posts on here.

Where oh where does it say a player can’t leave when allegedly injured Walter, can clubs who bring in a player not train them
As I have said it’s Gio who has lost patience with the player who refused to travel to Portugal with other unfit players ie helander Morelos Jack hagi Lowry.

I pray roofe goes he has been at it since the min he got here with his tights getting ripped.

Herewego55, guy is putting in the effort, sadly he majorly lacks the ability. Like I said previously, he was a cheap punt, we won’t lose out. Good lad however his future lies elsewhere.

Storm he is an excellent goalscorer. However I feel this is somewhere we can improve the menu.

If true about Zukowski then we're very short of cover at RB.

As many have pointed out on here, Roofe would never have been a Rangers player If he wasn't injury prone and had the right mindset. A physical injury, in most cases, is easier to manage and repair than something which is more psychological. If the stories are true, and most of Roofe's problems are in his head, and he is unwilling to admit this and sort, then we'd be flogging a dead horse trying to sort him. A fantastic player when fully fit, with a sharp footballing brain, who knows where the goal is, but sound like he has a head full of broken biscuits. A real shame, but unfortunately in football, it's not that rare of an occurrence.

12.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 19:09:13
It's of my opinion that an interested club wouldn't bring roofe in until they knew the extent and recovery time of this injury he has allegedly ?Hows that John25, will that do you mate?.

13.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 19:16:01
John I agree with you he is but the amount of injuries he gets is unbelievable.

14.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 19:16:59
Jack can play there also at a push John when he is fit ?.

15.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 19:46:04
Much better Walter, always respect your opinion.

16.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 20:03:17
Zukowski Would of cost us over 2million there is no way he’s walking for free ?.

17.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 20:05:11
Would agree with all a except we should be looking for £1million each for roofe and Zukowski Kelly should be able to leave for free with a buyback of £1million writhin 2 seasons if we wave the development fee.

18.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 20:21:50
cant he be fired for failing to attend a company event?

19.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 20:52:43
Look for £1million for roofe Rfc22 ? I would be looking for a lot more than £1million for roofe my friend and he's still got 2 years left on his contract ?I would honestly be looking at least 3 times that and that's only because of his injuries otherwise i would be wanting a helluva lot more ?.

20.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 21:00:05
I reckon if Gio got an offer off £1 million for Roofe he would accept. Only my opinion but I reckon his time is up at Ibrox ✌️.

21.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 21:00:41
Surely allowing roofe and Sakala leaves us a bit open to injuries or bad form both have goals in them and the lack of them cost us last season. Let's wait till Alfie is back and see how the others perform before letting any1 go.

22.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 21:10:37
Walter at least two million significant sell on imo.

23.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 21:30:33
No matter what your opinion is of Roofe if there was ever any doubt everything isn't rosy between Roofe and the club/ Gio then as mentioned he refused to go to Portugal -some may say he was staying behind to get tests or see a physio but then at the open training yesterday there was injured players even Hagi who god knows when he will be back playing but Roofe was nowhere to be seen.
Also anyone who follows him on social media will know he's hardly put any posts up (he posted often before) and none about the Gers so it all backs up the theory there is stuff going on behind the scenes.

24.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 21:51:00
Zukowski won't be going on a perm, if he goes anywhere it will be on a loan. Like I said all info I have saying he is impressing the staff.

25.) 26 Jul 2022
26 jul 2022 21:54:12
lacala

firstly our reputation and morality would go right out the window if he was sacked for saying he was unwell

secondly, he's worth money, why would we let him sign for someone else for nothing.

26.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 21:55:19
On his present state Roofe isn’t worth £3m he isn’t even worth £3. Main thing is to get him off the payroll asap.

27.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 22:19:13
A sell on for roofe or Kelly? Won't be a sell on for roofe it would be absolutely and utterly pointless.

28.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 22:24:28
Never read so much nonsense in my life. What a bunch of lies.

29.) 26 Jul 2022
26 jul 2022 22:35:45
2blue, i spoke of roofes reputation days after he signed, great brain, but poor commitment and courage, he had a rep amongst his teammates of almost cheating them, thus why he moved, chased from oxford, belgium and leeds. people on this very thread said i made it up, it wwasnt true, , it was and is true, but, i still believe he's the best striker in scotland, when he's at it, i hope we get another year from him but gio may have made his mind up now. the boys made his money, he's barely smiled in his time in football, i suspect its purely about money, nothing else with him.

30.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 22:41:07
Problem being with Roofe
Is he doesn’t want to sign for anyone else and finally doesn’t want to play football and carry on feigning injury
He gets paid well off us and he can continue that payment for 2 more years with out us seeing a dime for him or even having the benefit of him playing 100% for us
he knows he is playing the game we know he is playing the game but fact is there is nothing we can do about it
I have know a good few In my time who have kicked the bum right out of sick pay
Off 6 months full pay
Back in work one week
Back off 6 months full pay

All depends on your employer and contract but I’ve been in a few jobs who give full sick pay six months then it goes half lay 6 months
So they play the game come back after 6 months for a week and back off again with sick notes from doctor for another 6 months full pay

It’s not right and unfair on every person who has morals and good workman ship

Roofe is one of those people it turns out knows how to play the game and has the brass neck by the looks of it to play it right out.
He doesn’t have to go anywhere unfortunately. And will be paid for it as football contracts very different for a general contract folk.

31.) 26 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 23:29:45
Hate to say this but got to agree with storm here roofe although definitely has ability there is no point having him if he's not available when needed especially seeing his wages will be decent unfortunately we will need to take hit on fee but I'd rather have a slightly less standard of player fit and available than have nobody available at all. and same goes for helander.

32.) 27 Jul 2022
26 Jul 2022 23:47:44
Can we not do a straight swap for Roofe and Dykes as Sir Walter always wanted him??.

33.) 27 Jul 2022
27 jul 2022 07:15:40
maybe you missed it blackwood, but so did gio want dykes,

34.) 27 Jul 2022
27 Jul 2022 09:48:29
I think its harsh on Helander to class him in same boat as Roofe. Helander has had some very bad injuries.

35.) 27 Jul 2022
27 Jul 2022 11:34:23
Once again staggered by peoples value of their own players!

Roofe £1m ????

He has a track record of injuries. Nothing new. So no change there and he now has a solid scoring record in Europe with some well acknowledged fabulous finishes. His overall game to goal ratio is also solid throughout his career. He is brilliant in the air and can score with both feet! Still under 30 yrs of age!

He is not a £1m player! Wake up!

£3m with possibly add ons. That’s realistic yet still arguably under value as we paid more.

However we want him off the wage bill so £3m is the compromise. Otherwise it would be more if a ‘positive’ purchase was being pursued.

On the button gdog.

38.) 27 Jul 2022
27 Jul 2022 16:11:42
Defo gdog I said 3 million too. people saying 1million? you'd rather keep him at that price. You need enough value to at least buy a gamble replacement.
