Received a message this morning, told we are looking at Max Bird from Derby was told we are very interested in a loan to buy deal, also told he has played about 100 games in the championship and is only 21yrd, I know nothing about this player just passing what I was told.

Good player but pointless signing.

We’ve got enough central midfielders who all do the same job, no point adding another.

If we had bought this young guy rather than give Steven Davis a new contract that would make sense.

Bringing this guy in now makes no sense. Next summer perhaps, if Davis leaves.

We can always do with good players! Could well be someone is leaving (whether it's on loan or a sale, I have no idea) .

At 21 he's got lots of room for development. Read a bio on him - good tackling stats, very few fouls given away, good passing stats. I have never seen him play though.

Just read your post and text a friend down south doesn’t know about any transfer but said the lad is has very good reading of the game for his age
But said he wasn’t and hadn’t heard of any transfer rumours around him at the moment.

Definitely worth acquiring, he is young, has played in the Championship and appears to be well thought of. Steven Davis can't go on for ever and needs to be replaced sooner rather than later.

We need a proper number 10 to unlock defences. Another average Joe is no good to us just now.

7.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 11:29:07
How do you know he is an average Joe sweep have you seen him play? I have never seen him, and its a number 8 we need to unlock defences from the middle of the park.

04 Aug 2022 11:39:39
Max Bird isn’t that type of player GBV.

He’s a good DM with potential, he’s a lundstrum type of player.

9.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 11:45:19
Tillman could be that man.

10.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 11:46:33
To replace Kamara maybe?

11.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 12:18:24
Sweep right on queue with the average Joe classification for a 21 year old who has played 100 games in the English Championship!

12.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 12:46:43
I can’t see Rangers bringing in someone like this while Steven Davis is still there. He would need to be paid off first - Not only to free up squad place, but to lower the wage bill.

13.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 12:48:18
No nothing of bird, but mcann should be given chance to replace Davis.

14.) 04 Aug 2022

We get our number ten when Hagi recovers from his injury.

15.) 04 Aug 2022

Very good player.

Would be a welcome addition.

16.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 13:29:17
We need another striker and someone who can unlock defences the other night bored me to tears it was that bad no urgency no pace no nothing colak is not the answer another itten if I'm being honest the front 3 had no movement walking about Park waiting for something to happen and to many side and back passes boring.

17.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 13:49:56
Another League One reject, wonderful! After the UEL final I really thought we'd shop in Harrods this summer. It's still Poundstretcher.

18.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 14:05:31
Yuma and Davies are significantly above the level you refer to rfcrb, as is Tilman, too early to comment on Colak although admittedly he does look like a replacement for Itten. The one position where we are lacking at present is goalkeeper, we seriously need a quality replacement for McGregor.

19.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 14:13:54
Sweep1 that's why we signed tillman and lawrence mate, they are capable of playing the no.10 role ?.

20.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 14:31:38
Sws if think Tillman could be the number 8 we all want, you can see he could play killer ball to forwards players, ano a lot of people see him as a striker as well, he has stated his favourite position is number 8 and 10.

21.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 14:45:18
@Berkrubbish Davies isn't, he came from a Championship side. I do like Colak but he's not fitting our complete lack of service at the moment. Yilmaz is a top player, he's the one marquee addition. The rest are the usual - rejects from teams who didn't want them any more. Which is the usual market for us.

22.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 15:15:07
Our squad is huge. Seen someone post 3 completly different 11s. Squad needs trimmed.

23.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 15:16:43
Say it quietly GVB! Just in case sweep 1 comes on with a negative slant and stating tillman and lawrence are not those types of midfielders ?.

24.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 16:02:05
We got aribo from Charlton
Tav from Wigan
Bassey liecster reserves
Goldson Brighton reserves
Kent Liverpool reserve
Morelos Finland

So Rfcrb I miss your point.

25.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 16:27:12
Superbly put as usual John25,sorry John26,still trying to get used to this name change mate ?.

26.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 16:31:51
John26,have you an info on, if morelos and kent will sign their new contract extensions before the end of this month ?I hope and pray they're not waiting to see if we can overturn this 2-0 deficit before they commit ? Because if that were to happen other clubs could then make bids for both players and quite possibly offering them champions league football, if we fail to get there, that's my worry mate and they then might want to go?.

27.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 16:53:15
As a club we have a transfer model.

To date it's working well in terms of bringing year on year improvement to our squad, generating funds for the club and enabling a genuine pathway for our own youth.

Within this policy we have tried to bring in players who are a step about our current 'level' - Skov Olson, Veerman, Doheki etc etc, but financially we can't get them over the line.

Yilmaz is our first real success in this bracket.

We have to be patient.

28.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 17:03:28
No I don’t, no player bigger than rangers. I’m told deals will be done.

Ehl I believe part the issue re olsen doehki is our league, not wages.

29.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 18:09:49
John,

The owner of FCSB said no one will be leaving his club until they are in the Conference League group stages. I only seen it today.

30.) 04 Aug 2022
04 aug 2022 18:37:16
try just using john, coops,

the scottish league will always be a problem getting players to sign,
and often the demand for wages will rise to come here, then o course your stuck with high wages whether the player is a success or failure, that's unlikely to change, very heavy first tem squad atm, has to change soon imo.

31.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 19:09:49
We can't only target young and potential sometimes you need to bring in as closs to a finished article as u can afford we've a title to win and need guys who can go straight in and make a diff.

32.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 19:11:08
John 25 100% curtain opener for Scottish football the worst pitch I. The league and dinky stadium our TV coverage makes us look a joke instead of showing Ibrox smellyhead pittodrie junkieroad tynecastle teams that have actually invested in decent size stadiums.

33.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 19:37:16
I posted this last week when some said he should not be playing for them in Europe in case he got hurt. He is their player.

34.) 04 Aug 2022
04 Aug 2022 19:43:46
100% agree with you John on the McCann should be given the chance to replace Davis and also the comment to rfc why they hell would you think we would be shopping in Harrods!

35.) 05 Aug 2022
05 Aug 2022 13:27:22
I love the response Storm, and sometimes the merchandise acquired from Harrods is over priced and shoddy! What I would like however is for us to go out an acquire a top quality replacement for McGregor. Fully agree on young McCann.
