First time post fellow Bears so be kind. I Really hope Mr Gerrard will find the right balance between youth and experience. I hate seeing that lot 'doing it right' developing players and selling them on then re investing that money. Sadly we wasted a great chance to do this when we were kicked down the leagues, spending the majority of our money on has been's and random centre backs from Tunisia. We should be looking at having Greegzy and two outfield players max being late 20's or in their 30s. Every other position should be filled by a player under 25 and hopefully a few seasons developing with us and winning trophies we can sell them on down south and take advantage of the disgusting money being thrown about down south. I think we should be tapping into the youth systems in the EPL not to bring their players on loan but ones who aren't going to get a chance at these clubs, but buying them for a few million we could easily tripple our money in a few years whilst we are still getting a good young player who is hungry to prove a point. I see the manky mob buying players like Dembele, Ntcham and potentially Edouard and IF they can reach their potential they could be looking at around £50m for the three in a few years. Sadly that's going to be them investing that further and the cycle will continue. I would love us to follow this blueprint and hopefully with Mark Allen on board he can use his contacts at Man City and unearth a few gems for us. Along with this developing our own players from Auchenhowie I can see a bright and successful future for us.
Alfredo Morelos is a player I think we need to give some slack and help this young guy reach his potential. From what I understand the boy has not had a break from playing competitve matches for 2 years. I think this showed at the end of the season with a few howlers and his frustration increasing. One thing about him though is he didn't shy from this and still gave 100% whenever I seen him play. We need to remember this boys only 21 and with a summer break and a full pre season with us I think we will see a player like we did before Christmas.
Let me know what yous all think and any players you can think of who we can develop with the eye to selling on? I hate the idea of us being a selling on club but that's the reality of the footballing world we live in now. Better than being a feeder club for Liverpool if you ask me.

we don't have the time for going down the long route with youth we have 2 seasons too stop the unwashed getting 10 in a row full stop to me that's all that matters

Who are you watching stating that Morelos gave 100% no way. And surely it cannot be true we refused 11million for a player especially the money problems we have

I will be honest |I have been out the country since Feb so thankfully didn't see much of our season fall apart. So I will take note of the feeling towards Morelos. When I first saw him though I thought we had found ourselves a gem.
So "queens11" you would like us to keep signing 'has been's' in the hope we somehow manage to beat them to a league title to stop 10 in a row? So after we manage to win that one title what do we do, as they will still have a good squad and bounce back while our 'has been's' are another year older and we then will have to go out and find some more.
