Worry our midfield is too lightweight, Livi are a dirty team. I would maybe have had Flanagan in for Barasic and Halliday in midfield with Jack and Arfield. Aribo and Kamara are going to get kicked off the ball, need players who can stand up and give it back.

Wish people would stop thinking halliday should get a game at cm for us. Way way down the pecking order in there.

Halliday is still a level above the midfield of Livi, despite being a level below our best midfielders. Normally he wouldn’t be anywhere near my XI but sometimes you need horses for courses and with yesterday likely to be a physical game I wasn’t sure Aribo and Kamara could handle it as they’ve not given much sign of enjoying the less glamorous side of the game. Having said that, I thought Aribo was terrific and it’s the first time I’ve actually seen him use his physicality. If he can play like that every week he’ll be tough to leave out. Kamara as best player on the park is a strange shout though Fergie. Tidy on the ball but doesn’t do enough for me. Isn’t really a ball winner, doesn’t carry the ball upfield like Aribo, doesn’t run a game like Davis and isn’t much of a goal threat.
