Wow Lads daily record article (HMRC overcharged Rangers by millions), is there a chance Dave King could buy old rangers back in the future for 20 Mil. it would shut that manky mob up. Just a thought LoL

I know its been mentioned before but what would the real benefit be from buying back the company now? So much has been done and invested into the club since it all went wrong.

This might spark debate but without the intent to offend anyone, surely that would be nothing more than a vanity project and not worth 20m?

The major issue here in my opinion is that HMRC had alleged we owed more than triple what we did.

20m would have been manageable for a club like ours, 70m scared off any decent investment we could have hoped for and Murray washed his hands when it came to Whyte.

Odd that the BBC didn’t cover the story on the news this morning . they’re usually all over stories involving Rangers and HMRC!
Maybe they’re too busy producing a one hour documentary with that rat Mark Daly?!

bottom line CVA wouldn’t even have been needed far less rejected

ergo liquidation wouldn’t have happened

we cld have been going for 12 in a row .

Some years ago HMRC warned that they were going to target a major british club, they did this to warn arsenal, Utd city Chelsea and other clubs, but they chose Rangers because they were never going to go after a major English club, the solution was obvious, let the info get out, then hit Rangers, that way they terrified the English clubs into action, a forewarning if you like, they said they knew many British clubs were playing the same game, but they only hit us,

Good Morning guys, this admission has serious implications for HMRC. We are not just talking the potential put off of Investors in our time of need in 2011, we are talking about the potential loss of revenue to our Club via here in Scotland, and in Europe. We also wouldn't have had folk like Ashley and his crew and Green and Whyte in our Club.

The fall out from this will be massive, we cannot just sit back and say, 'Oh well at least they've admitted their mistake', I await our Clubs response on this shocking debacle.

I’m sure the east end window cleaners and van drivers are dusting down the EBT for dummies book I mean at the time they were experts on EBT and corporate law
As someone else posted the tims are borderline meltdown and we all know it’s tick tick on their own cash woes it’s coming.

Looks like Brazil was correct - big news coming soon is this what he was on about, this hasn't come out of nowhere. they must have already maybe discussed what happens next from here. Is it possible to sue for damages and losses? let's wait and see.

wouldn't that send folk into overdrive, you can definitely smell the fear over there with this all about debt everything can be paid and we could have more in the bank than them is the cry. time to do a celtic and get petitions letters emails ready and start a world wide protest bahahahahs.

Not sure what the club or company can do as its the old company's business and any compensation would be due to the old company and not the new company or the club. 👍.

This could be a very interesting turn of events for old or new club management.

Is the old argument we are sevco or reformed Rangers club still going on.

I'm probably wrong again but did the SFA not let us get to keep the trophies as won by Rangers that the manks wanted to be taken from us. Are we still Rangers or not.

Yes sir walter but it was the company that was liquidated not the club. The new company bought the club which had the history not the old company therefore the new company and the club are nothing to do with the old company or the tax case👍.
