Being at the game today and now sitting back reflecting what a performance we put in on what I can only say a midden of a park! We showed today how far we have come and the mouth about them isn’t that great! By far the better team and in any other day we’d be holding that cup aloft but it just wasn’t to be!

Bears remember who we are and how far we’ve came and also what SG has brought to this team! I’m disappointed totally but I’m also upbeat with that performance as we were better all over the park apart from the ball in the net ( and yes I know that’s the aim ) but we have the Euro league and also our league to concentrate on and I’m even more a confident! Just wasn’t our day today but I’m far far far more upbeat going forward!

Maybe you's want to settle for 2nd best but most people dont. We've backed SG in the market. 7m for Kent Aribo, Brandon Barker. Done nothing. Too many under achievers. Yes he's done well in Europe and we are 2nd in the league but he don't have the mentality to win anything imo. This season will be another season without silverware. Yes we played well today but it's not good enough. We lost. That's the reality of it. Massive game now on Thursday.

Too many rose tinted specs on here. The signings are going to be Gerrards undoing.

Sadiq, Ojo, Ejaria, Barker, King (remember him), Coulibally, Lafferty, Worral, Grezda, Mc Aualy have or are proving to be failures

Yes there have been so good ones too (McGregor, Arfield, Katic, Defoe and Kamara) but many of them e. g. Defoe and Katic feature sparingly. Think of the money wasted on wages.

Gerrard was talking up Aribo big style after playing tidly wink teams but where has he been against them and in Europe? Kent went into hiding at the end there today too but hope he will live up to the hype as we have little Individual creativity out with him

Morelos is a big wain and constantly spits the dummy. He doesn’t have the class required and 11 games against then without scoring does not win leagues or cups. I fully understand that that is controversial as where would we be in the league without him but that just proves, we have not progressed as far as some would like to think.

John25, I'm sure As1974 is not calling for Gerrard to be sacked. He is only stating the facts, won nothing and 2nd in the league, same as last season.

I didn't say sack him. He buys players brings them in for one game then drops them and brings them back again. You've got to give people a run in the team. When you play guys that don't perform you will start to struggle. Morelos has been outstanding this season. he's Carried the team. We can't defend and have no pace. We don't play young players. The likes of Katic, Edmunnson or even give Dochery a chance. The boy Stewart has done excellent and doesn't get a game. Andy King. Never been seen. When the big games matter we constantly fail. In a captain you look for inspiration, commitment and drive. Taviener has none of that. he's been off the pace for weeks. There you go. Gerrard needs judged on trophies not what he done as a player. Its totally irrelevant.

Done nothing? its December. Today was a poor result, not performance. Unbeaten against Porto and feynoord, great chance to progress on Thursday. 2 points from top spot in the league. With an apparently awful defence our GA in the league is one worse off than c*ltic.
I can understand the frustration on here from some but some of the negative stuff that's been posted is just crazy.

I agree with a lot of both sides of the above. By no means am I saying Gerrard needs sacked, but if he was a less glamorous manager (say we had appointed McInnes) with the exact same results against them, performance in the transfer market etc., I’m sure a lot more of you would be asking questions. Too many of you more in love with the idea of having Stevie G as a manager than your are WINNING.

Just hope this doesn't have a knock on effect for rest of season this was a really good chance to lift silverware. Celtic are a different animal without Eduard.
