At last transfer window open in Scotland until 5 th October.
Hopefully see some significant signings.

This just backs up everything I wrote yesterday. Everyone is so desperate to see players being signed immediately and panicking that we’ve not brought in the required new players. This transfer window will be totally different to other years. That’s it only just opened and won’t close until into October, that’s 2 months after the start of the season. That means it’s likely that a lot of the business we do may not actually happen until later on in the window, especially as other leagues are still to finish.
It’s going to be a long window folks and we’ll just have to accept that maybe some of our main targets won’t arrive until we’ll after the season has started.

Gers1978 - it could be a positive. Maybe if the players we already have up their game enough in the first couple of months then SG won’t bring anyone in to replace them. Give the current crop a bit more motivation to perform.

The problem is that if they perform the way they did before the Season closed early, waiting until later in the window might be too late. The quality players might have gone and we would be left with nothing more than squad players when what we need is three or four quality players that can walk straight into the first team. We will not win the league with last year's squad unless some of our youngsters turn out to be Baxteresque. We barely had eleven players that were good enough for the first team last season, when players were injured and at the moment we are two down with Haliday gone on for me, our best centre half, out for six months. We still don't have back up for right back, we are still severely short of a right winger and a good quality striker to support Morelos and if Davis and Kamara is all that we have as defensive / holding midfield players we have problems.

Mccrorie, docherty, Murphy, even Jones are all good enough to play a part in our squad this season.

Gers I ain’t panicking.

We need to sign players pronto wether you like it or not and it’s not going to be starters from teams in EPL la liga or serie A so get a grip.
