Guys can anyone shed a light on what's happening with Kai Kennedy? He hasn't appeared in any of the training photos with the 1st team. Jordan Campbell of the Athletic has said that he is training with the B team but hasn't been named in any of the B teams squads for the previous friendlies. I had thought he would have been included in the 1st team squad after his successful loan. Just curious as to why we haven't seen him.

Hope all is well with him and its a niggling injury or something not major, was just voted in young euro players of year team so can see him in our first team squad next yr possibly. Another loan may do him well. Aslong as he is still in our big picture 👌💙.

This is just a complete guess (I have no info on it, just putting 2 and 2 together and looking at what John25 has just said) but Gerrard stated that he was happy with the condition of how the majority of the squad had returned from the summer break and most, except for a couple had come back with very good levels of fitness. Perhaps Kennedy was one of the ones he was alluding to that hadn’t? I only suggest this as we know he’s had a bit of an issue in the past with his attitude (thinking he’s bigger than he is) and if you look at his build he is quite short and stalky, the kind of build that probably needs to work harder on conditioning than others. It would then fit that he’s come back a bit over weight / out of condition and maybe been told to work on his own in his fitness before being brought back into the squad? Again I’m just totally guessing here and could be completely wrong. Just a thought though.

He is at Murray park, I’m told working in gym. Not fit, don’t know reason hence I asked on here if anyone knew anything
Obviously not in squad for firhill or b team against Albion.

I would guess it is more a case of he is recovering from the injury he sustained at the tail end of last season that ruled him out of the playoff games for Raith. Once fit I hope he gets a chance with the 1st team this preseason, he looks a player and I would love to see him developing into a 1st team regular.
