Just got me thinking after seeing hearts desparate to sign our former winger barrie mckay 🤔Do any of you guys think he would be a good signing for us? 🤔 Very talented player no doubt about that in my eyes 👀
Inconsistent like most wingers are but on his game a total matchwinner 👍He's not better than kent that's for sure but do we reckon he's at least on a par with scott wright,
brandon barker etc?

I thought he was a decent player but no I wouldn't want him back. I think your also being a bit harsh on Scott Wright putting him in the same class as Barker because Wright is a far better and more consistent player.

Not good enough for where we are now. The boy had a lot of talent and promise and it hasn’t came to anything. Think going to Hearts will probably be his level as he’s not made it in England. Never forget his goal against them in the semi final though what a screamer 😂.

He can't even be classed as a good player. Had a decent season with us, been god awful ever since, every club he has been at couldntvwait to get rid. That's not down to inconsistency, he's just not a good player/ never made the most of what talent he had.

Yes wingers can be inconsistent, but he’s not had a top game in years.

Our team has evolved hugely since McKay left in 2017.
He wouldn't make the bench or even be good enough to make our squad.
He's 26 years old - he is all the player he's ever going to be now.

He had a couple of flashes in the lower divisions, but even there he was inconsistent and not willing to put the work in.

Actually think Barry had natural talent in abundance, only criticism I have is he was maybe lacking heart. See hi ghost past a full back draw a foul and guy gets a yellow then Barry was to scared to put that player under pressure in my opinion.

Agree coops, the lad's talent has never been in question. Remember Rodgers waxing lyrical about him when he gave lustig a roasting in one game. The problem is he is a bit faint hearted. If he could develop some devilment he would be an excellent player. I can't understand anybody saying the lad doesn't have talent because he clearly does. A blind man could see that.

Spot on The Seeker totally my thinking also and yes i can remember brendan rodgers speaking to barrie mckay at ibrox as he was tearing them apart down their right hand side! Although celtic still won that day rodgers went over to mckay at full time and told him how good his performance was and how talented he was👍He was inconsistent but was a talented player and you're correct anyone who knows a talent when he sees one would know this 🤔.
