I have a feeling Balogun will play the euro games and Simpson will play more often in the league than Balogun with him not being in the euro squad. Time for the boy to step up and show he has what it takes to play for the famous.

Gutted for big Fil. He's one of my favourite players. Someone's misfortune is often someone else's good fortune though. Balogun is someone who in the main I've not been impressed with but his last few performances have been outstanding and he deserves his chance. At 33 he certainly isn't the future so maybe to rest his legs a bit we could see Leon King coming in alongside Goldson and getting some experience in some of the games at home where we are strong favourites. i'm not too sure about whether King is ready or not, I am only going by the reputation he has as a brilliant prospect. Maybe John25 can tell us if he thinks King is ready to step up for the odd game?

It would appear Rangers are in danger of waiting for players to attract attention from other clubs before blooding them into the team, players across the globe play from young ages, many for top clubs or in major leagues, Celtic have always thrown youngsters into their team, Rangers have usually waited, and waited, I’m not saying play them if they’re not ready, but if we have an entire youth set up that’s not ready then that is strange, surely we have one or two who should be involved . Kelly should definitely have been in the team in some capacity recently.

If McCulloch, Beasley and Cousin can do it, surely the likes of Morelos, Kent and Aribo can do the same.

Staying positive, thinking this will be a defining moment in our season, we’ve yet to replicate the form of last season and we’re due to turn out a strong run of performances.

We’ve beaten much better teams than Lyon with the majority of the same group of players.

Andy, I believe we have too many players who just don’t want to be playing for Rangers anymore, they now have egos beyond our club, we have at the very least a centre half, winger and striker who definitely don’t want to be here, god knows how massive more, I honestly have misgivings about the season ahead, particularly as I be some have been told they can go in January, this team hasn’t played a great game yet, I agree the of game was great, but not a wonderful performance, every other game has been difficult to watch, I believe some aren’t putting it all in, when players know they are heading out they tend to drop performance, to me this is evident
What concerns me is they should be dropped and replaced by the guys who were brought in for that very purpose, like Wright etc, top of the league I know is great, but fans shouldn’t be fooled by a league table so early, in truth there’s no doubt the other lot have played far better than us, but top is top, I just worry how these wantaway guys, like Goldson, who has treated Rangers Poorly in his contract dealings will react when winter strikes and they know they’re leaving,

It’s just my opinion.

Benzema and Mendieta were class but Riquelme for Villareal against us was the best performance I've ever seen from a visiting player. He never left the centre circle all night but controlled the game. His range if passing was unreal. What a talent and he should have had a better career but attitude and ego got in the way.

Tomthumb, that's an interesting post, you may be right there. Look at Celtic last season, some of their players downed tools and we're more interested in a move. I just don't get it, yeh there may be a few who will go onto bigger things but there are a few who think they are better than they actually are, who if they move may come to regret it. We all can see that some players at the moment aren't playing to their potential, that annoys me as they are getting paid handsomely and playing infront of loyal supporters who pay a lot of money to watch them. If they don't want to play for the famous then do everyone a favour and put a transfer request in. Regarding Goldson, why is this dragging on so long?

Baxter, it’s great to see someone actually willing to discuss the real things in football, Rangers do have too many wanting away, anyone who thinking otherwise is deluding themselves, what we need to worry about is have these guys been told they are free to go in January? . Doehki imo is a top topcentre half playing in Holland for Vitesse.
Very good in the air and excellent with the ball at his feet.
He is available on a free next June and can sign a pre contract in January.
My sources tell me that him and veer are Gerrard number one targets in the summer and remain so.
If we get doehki on a free we are signing a six million plus player who is an upgrade on any ch we presently have.
