I thought the first half we played the best football we have all season we moved the ball at pace getting into the final third often creating loads of chances but didn’t take them, second half we slowed the game down and allowed them to get forward their goal was a comedy of errors starting in midfield no one tracked the runner then the defence was all over the place, we missed Alphie yesterday his strength in the box to out muscle defenders and crate that space was missing but we have played a lot worse this season and won.

DSGERSFAN : I agree at time we try to score the perfect goal but passing the ball is all part of the game, what impressed me was the pace we played at and moved the ball at we created more chances in that first half than probably all season we just didn’t take them if we had we would have been over the hill snd far away, we need to start putting the ball in the net I’m not as down on the team as a lot are, I’d be more disappointed if we hadn’t created chances but the standard of open play was good (first half) second we dropped the pace, I didn’t think Simpson had a great game but god give the guy a chance he’s been thrown in as we have injuries only three CBs and you can’t play the same two every league as Simpson is not in Euro squad it’s not ideal but we are where we are give them guy time, I find on here unless we win all games it’s time to attack players left right and centre we know things are not what they were last season but it was never going to be were top of the league we know we can play better so let’s get behind them not constantly attacking players snd let’s hope Jack is back soon.

The first half was very promising and the best we have played all season . Considering it was against a rejuvenated Motherwell and off of the back of a heavy europa night I say well done lads keep it up . A little more like the first half and we will be flying .

In my opinion that won't happen Seeker. I've said before on here that Jack seems to fit straight back into the team as soon as he's fit to start. Some players are like that, whereas some take time. Like Roofe.
We are really missing Jack right now. He has been a massive miss this season. It's a lot more evident than last season.

Twacoos, have to agree with all your comments re yesterday's game. At ht I was very pleased with the first half, we look a much more dangerous team at pace, but I don't know what went wrong in the second half. I would like personally to see more shots when we are on top, instead of looking for that "perfect" pass in a crowded box.

I have been told jacks operation is not the success we are being led to believe. We r unlikely to see much off him till next year. One off the reasons Kelly never went on loan and Bacuna was brin last minute.

I know Jack will not go out on loan guys. I was paraphrasing posts from our pal dsgers who said that the lad would be hopeless and would need to go out on loan to get games. Never has a player been missed as much as Ryan Jack imo.

Goldson and Barisic were too slow and out of position for their equaliser, nothing to do with Simpson, Goldson was too close to Tavernier, and thus O'Hara had too much space, Barisic was too slow in moving across or he would have cleared the ball before the Motherwell player got to it, my opinion guys, just look at the replay and you'll see why I'm saying this. But hey, as John says, we're top of the pile on merit and haven't started to play to our potential yet, not because Celtic are bad, I hope they continue to be hellish.
