Scrolling through the posts on this chat and various media sites many have brought into focus our failings in the transfer department and blame this for us not retaining our title.
Utter nonesense we were streets ahead and have lost the league by a lack of determination and know how, new players are a gamble we had a settled squad.
We dropped crazy points at County at Dundee utd at home to well for example.
We had more than enough quality at the club to win these games.
Celtic built a head of steam and we faltered the momentum built and our players then went to parkhead know g they were up against it. We put that doubt in our own heads by dropping the silly aforementioned points.
For me it's back to basics some players obviously been here too long and it's time to start having some honest conversations with guys. Who wants to stay next year and fight for the title.
Celtic have unity and will only grow stronger under their manager who obviously has some good management qualities.
To catch them we need to start now.

Jzer; you’ve contradicted yourself there you said it’s not down to recruitment then said some players have been here to long which I agree with but the reason they are still here snd have went a bit stale is lack of sound recruitment bringing in players to push for a place in the team no player enjoys sitting on the bench so if players are pushing for your place you will fight to stay in the team, the players we have brought in just haven’t been good enough to do that, but Celtic have recruited players who have hit the ground running while we’ve stood still.

Well said tacos. Our Recruitment in the last two years has been very poor. Ange, across the City chose his own players based on his knowledge and he got the players he wanted. From what I can see our DoF has had too much say in our transfer business!

Miles off. So our squad shouldn't have been able to beat County away or hold a 2 nil lead at home to Motherwell. c'mon mate.
I wouldn't say it was a contradiction either as I said we didn't need new players to maintain our lead we should have been more than good enough to see off these other sides in the spl and if we did we pressurised celtic then they would have dropped points where we made life very easy for them.
Now YES we must recruit as these guys will never raise it now that they've lost that belief that team spirit now seems not as it was and things need freshening.

It's a fair point jzer. Noone was complaining at recruitment last year when we won by Miles. No one left so problem has been their performance not at same level. However we should have also strengthened while on top with one or two quality additions. Don't know what happened but same players look completely different this season.
