Morning Bears. I am feeling very down and sad this morning but nevertheless proud of the players and all the fans who travelled to Spain. The fairytale is over but what an adventure. Rangers have restored Scotland's pride on the European stage. 10 years after our beloved club were thrown to the wolves by the Scottish authorities, we have contested a European final. I feel really sorry for Ramsey. He seemed to strike the ball well but the keeper got lucky. Hopefully the boys can pick themselves up and lift the Scottish Cup this weekend. Sad but a very proud Bear.

I actually feel sorry for Salaka more than Ramsay. To be substituted after coming on as a sub must be a horrible feeling.

The keeper never got lucky it was a terrible pen and he has now kissed to pens in europa league final.


Correct sweep couldn’t believe we just put people on to take pens because that always works.

Sweep for me it proved that Ramsey and roofe were not fit to play a bigger role.
Sakala came on to try and do a job. He performed the role but was not to be a penalty taker.
As for folk meaning about Kent being 7million player and not taking a penalty he has never taken one.
Would people prefer gio nominates Kent known he won’t ascore. Or do we simply start with most expensive player first then work way down.
That would make tav about 7-8 in line.

IMO it shouldn't have went to penalties anyway. Ryan Kent needs to burst the net with his chance at the end. Kent us a cracking player but doesn't score enough goals. Chances like that one he had probably get taken 9 out of 10 times.

Correct John, utter nonsense expecting someone to take a penalty because they’re a winger and cost £7m. It’s whoever is confident that takes them. And as much as I feel sorry for sakala, without the benefit of hindsight, would anyone seriously have wanted sakala to take a penalty before Ramsey? Not a chance! And regarding Goldson, he was a yard out of position, mistakes happen. If we didn’t make mistakes no team would ever score against us. I think they’d have a lot more to moan about at conceding our goal than we would at theirs!

To be fair to Ramsey, he stepped up to the plate to take a penalty. I've watched his penalty a few times and his striking of the ball did seem to be good. The keeper went the right way but yes, he should have scored. It doesn't matter now does it, I'm just proud of our team and the fact that they got to the final.
