With Stewart Robertson's comments last week saying the Europa League run has brought in the same amount of money as champions League qualification do you think they will put their money where the mouth is and actually spend money this summer instead of free contract signings and give gio the funds to get a team that will get us through the qualifiers .

Gio will be given funds.
How much depends on who we move on etc and he will get a portion of the EL money.
We still have the chance to qualify for the CL through the qualifiers which again could impact on Gio's budget.
I don't think we will spend millions.
The club has a business model that they will stick to for financial reasons.
It will be all about trying to find more Aribo's and Bassey's and money on a couple of others.

MPH what players do you think will be moved on or leave in the summer?

Signing Bosmans isn't necessarily bad news, there are some good quality players available if our Board is willing to spend the money on wages to sign them and our Chairman etc., has the charisma to convince them to come to Rangers. I see us needing a minimum of five or six quality new players. We will stagnate if we give new contracts to players like Davis who is now well past his prime however the trick will be to replace them with better players.

There is the obvious who are out of contract - Mcgregor, Davis and Balogun.
I love Davis but getting 60 minutes here and there isn't enough when you want to compete at the top level.
Others with 1 year left on their deals ( if they can't be enticed to stay ) should also be sold from a business point of view. That includes Aribo, Kent and Morelos.
We need to also try and move on those deemed surplus to requirements.
All easier said than done.
It's players prerogative to sit tight.
And you also need clubs to put in bids.
We should also be looking at extending those who have a couple of years left on their deals - Bassey being the obvious.
Funds need to be made available for Gio to get players in that he deems good enough for his ambitions and more importantly the club and fans.
We've made a good bit of money from this run.
But you can't forget we have made losses ( though covered by the board ) these last few years.
Runs like this years EL need to be built on.
