Guys does the players being rrsigned poss sending a message the club don't have the finds to replace and i'm meaning more Mcgregor and Davis. Goldson is only 28/ 29 so potentially a sell on fee available but not other 2. I think mcgegor needs replaced zs much as i love him as a keeper.

Davis and McGregor will be on same deals as last year, both are good players who can pass on their knowledge to the young players and both have potential to become coaches in the game, no brainer for me. Davis is always available for a pass and is going to be used sparingly. McGregor I would like to see making way a bit more for mcgloughlan but 2 good goalies are better than 1.

I find it hard to believe that the funds are not available given our European Run and the monies from Itten, Patterson and Gerrard. Perhaps we are finally getting round to only signing quality players that can do a job in the first Team and we will still see three or four players for positions that we need to fill as well as securing Kent, Aribo and Morelos on new deals.
I would still like to see a good quality backup striker for Morelos, a top quality winger and a box to box midfield player.
I don't see Davis as any more than backup but we would struggle to find as good a player to be a squad player. He will also be perfect to help with the development of our young lads like McCann etc.
The renewal of McGregor's contract does surprise me since I was assuming that we would sign a top quality replacement and I am not giving up that this might still happen. As things stand I still see McGregor as the best keeper at Rangers!

Tango, he’s 37 and taking £10k a week, £500k a year which could be better spent. I want to remember him fondly for the great games he played when he was younger and fitter. Again, if this signing does jeopardise invested into the first team then nobody will lose sleep but if we don’t sign a long term replacement, somebody like Davis at 24 then I’ll be really frustrated. It’s early doors so I’m not losing sleep but I don’t want the board to think ‘got Davis, job done’ because it’s not, far from it.

Great business by the club to tie up these 3 guys. I think there's a chance we lose Kent aribo kamara Bassey etc so we replace them knowing that we have the experience still in the club to fall back on.
