Think we have to take this season as a write off now IMO which gives us the opportunity, if Beale is the coach we believe he is, to correctly blood some youngsters. We can do this at the right pace and not just throw them in at the deep end, like Leon King who was playing in central defensive partnerships without a central defender. Players such as McCrorie and Lowry should be given extended runs but only when we have the players available who can talk them through games. We have shown this season we are miles behind Celtic, not only in playing style but unfortunately commitment, which should never be the case. I think Beale can bring back not only that high press, high tempo which served us so well for 55 but the man management skills and tactical nous to bring the good times back to Ibrox.

Not many think he is the right man for the job especially on here or the majority of polls there has been.

This year is not a write off were only 9 points behind. First thing I’d be doing as manager is drilling into them that this league is not over and anybody who thinks it is can be shown the door. We still have 3 cups we have a chance to win. Any acceptance of defeat is only setting us up to fail. Celtic scored a few late goals already this season we need to ramp up the pressure and hunt them down.

3.) 24 Nov 2022 12:35:35
We also have a cup semi and another cup to defend so can't write season off.

4.) 24 Nov 2022 13:39:24
Over a third wanted him as manager not my first choice but he will be backed from me.

David totally agree 23 matches left.

Absolutely embarrassed by that performance! Tavernier has shown he should be nowhere near the captains armband whilst Kent and Barasic on the other side have been empty jerseys for the past eighteen months, regardless of the Europa run. The injury to Goldson seemed to be pivotal, despite the crap he takes on here on a weekly basis. Ben Davies had a good first half but was non existent in second half without Goldson beside him and I think it also showed that despite calls to go with youth Leon King is nowhere near ready for the first team. The league however is there for the taking if we can concentrate our efforts and select a team who are truly interested. Let players like Yilmaz play into a bit of form, likewise Mattondo and Tillman. I am unsure as to the condition of Kamara but surely he is a more viable option than Jack who only has to fart to injure his calf again!

It’s great that we have the numbers that r we can rotate the squad but I think we need a consistent first eleven in order to bring our game up to the levels of early last season. If that means making tough choices such as leaving players such as Davis, Morelos or even Kent out so be it. It is a team game and great options from the bench. Need to keep the momentum going starting with Hearts on Sunday. Celtic started to crumble last year when we had points on the board so let’s see if we can burst the Angeball this time.

Tinkering for no reason was a big flaw in SG and part of the reason why he wasn't as successful at us as he should have been.

Spot on BM 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️👍.

3.) 11 Dec 2021 14:30:43
What about tinkering to adapt for different teams or ensure that players don’t overdo it and get injuries?

Davis can’t play every game so to ensure consistency should he just be used as a back up on the bench?

Same with Roofe?

Tav, Goldson and Morelos have been the most consistent players but some people don’t rate them.

4.) 11 Dec 2021 16:01:08
Don’t agree with that coldo you just need to pick the right time and players to change the team same 11 can’t play every game every week or you end up with injuries and need to play others anyway.

We have to use tonight's game against Dunfermline as an opportunity to rebuild confidence, while hopefully scoring a few goals. I'd certainly start Patterson but at the same time stick with Barasic who I think needs the game time as does Lundstram. The pat week should be a wake up call and we should draw a line under it. Last year we spoke of 'Timplosions' and if we continue to criticise rather than support the team we become just as bad as them! I would also like to wish Kemar Roofe's wee girl all the best and my thoughts are with Kemar and his family. A sick child puts things in perspective!
4-0 tonight and we play with the tempo we started last season with.

Kemar Roofe's son is now out of hospital.

2.) 13 Aug 2021 09:50:07
I read about Roofe's wee baby son yesterday and how grateful he was of the amazing doctors and nurses at the children's hospital. His wee one is called Cassius and he's obviously a wee fighter! Very welcome news the wee one is on the mend.

3.) 13 Aug 2021 10:21:46
It was his new born son which I didn’t even know he had Tho it was recently but he is back at home now thankfully 👍.

4.) 13 Aug 2021 10:38:56
74BC, tempo means nothing when the opposition have 10 men lined up in 2 banks of 5, 20 yards out.
We have struggled to break this down for 3 or 4 years.
Why would tonight ge any different?

5.) 13 Aug 2021 11:13:21
Interesting in his interview he talks about 8year old being in hospital.

6.) 13 Aug 2021 12:22:37
Maybe he didn't want people knowing about his personal circumstances John, its his family and personal life and has nothing to do with anyone else.

7.) 13 Aug 2021 12:49:00
I agree sweep, my point is papers say new born baby roofe says 8. Year old. Media write anything.

8.) 13 Aug 2021 20:29:55
There was a pic of him at hospital with the newborn son it was his son.

I stumbled across the transcript of a Daily Record podcast from August 2019 just after our season opener to Kilmarnock. It absolutely slaughtered Borna Barisic and lamented our lack of options in both full back positions given Tavernier lack of form. It just shows how a bit of patience and understanding by our manager has been rewarded and I hope we show the same patience to Itten, Roofe to a lesser extent and any other signings the club make this window. It takes time to bed in as McCoist and Goram proved in the past.

Barasic was poor when he came and took a full year. He didn't like the tackle and seemed uneasy with the league, although he obviously had talent. Now, he'd absolutely brilliant and I for one never thought he had it in him. What a player.

I'm not sure what people can't see in Roofe? He's been absolutely amazing for us with a great work rate and stats. Scores loads of goals and plays up top or wide. Aside from his injuries, he's been better than anyone could have expected.

2.) 27 May 2021 15:35:54
Think the DR might have plagiarized some of our posters on here!

3.) 28 May 2021 10:17:30
Dont think anyone doesn't rate roofe, its just his unfortunate injury record and he's on 35k a wk. Do doubt roofe is a quality striker, hopefully he can get more games under his belt this year with fewer injuries, i was in the selling roofe boat but nothing to do with quality just injury record. If roofe stayed fit for a full season he would be up their as one of if not leagues top goal scorer. 👌💙.

WEWILLSTANDTOGETHER, I have seen so many posts from you criticising rather than backing your side! They left everything out there to a man and will be hurting as much as you and I. EF had beaten better teams than us before the final and didn’t allow us to play the game we wanted to play. That is football and to even give ourselves a sniff of a chance is testament of this teams heart and the tactics of Gio.

We were up against a very underrated side and maybe the supporters went into the match with optimism based on what we can do in the cauldron of noise and atmosphere that is Ibrox. That seemed to be missing last night as EF spoiled the party for large spells. We have been punching well above our weight since Alashkart and should be immensely proud of everything we have achieved. We have to pick ourselves up and put a smile on the face of every man, woman and child who had their heartbroken last night. I know it is difficult not to dwell on what might have been but I honestly believe we have the opportunity to make this a regular occurrence, if the fans back the team rather than dwell on the what might have been. We can still match them this season in the CL but will have to work that wee bit harder but we are Rangers and that’s what we do!

People who collected ‘Ginger Bottles’ were derided as ‘ Ginger Merchants’ where I lived. Many a summer ‘ Jubilee’ or ten pence mixture was purchased with a ‘Glass Cheque’. Happy Days.

I think Scott Wright showed in the ten minutes or so against Antwerp what he can bring to the club. The mixture of ball control and pace in winning the penalty gives me the hope he can be an impact player and another option.

Wish the big guy well but take the money and run! At this moment in time the money saved would be well spent negotiating an extension to Goldson's contract. IMHO the guy has been a Colossus this year and has provided the foundations for number 55. I appreciate the work Tav has did in terms of goals and assists and the performances from the midfield but this has only been possible as they have someone they can rely on to be solid at the back. The number of important goals Goldson has scored, particularly in the first Old Firm match has cemented this years title!
