Does anyone in the know, know of anything happening at Ibrox today?

I'm in work and 1 of my mates (Gers fan) said he was passing, loads of media outside and numerous rangers suits arriving.

It could be a planned meeting and the media are just circulating like vultures as the fallout continues.

Or it could be something else?

Aribo

1.) 06 Sep 2023 14:12:18
Maybe Beales been summoned to the Ibrox departure lounge . TAXI! Platform 4.

2.) 06 Sep 2023 15:18:26
Yep get it emptied and appoint a manager.

3.) 06 Sep 2023 15:30:48
The only defence Beale has is the net spend by the club is £nil, transfer deals balance and the last one delayed sale handy as no time to spend it even if the blazers let him .

Add it up , it's a nonsense after the gobskittering by those running the club, he's not had 2 bob of new money even if the signings he made are no better than what was there, so more than him needs emptied out and soon.

4.) 06 Sep 2023 16:46:31
Yeah, the net spend after selling Kamara, Sakala, and Colak is next to nothing. This during a summer when we lost key first-team players like Kent and Morelos for free.

This is all a knock-on effect from last summer. Kicked the rebuild can down the road. Allowed Kent and Morelos to stay despite no signing new contracts (we should've actively sold them for whatever we could get) . Then the money we did spend was all wasted.

The club is a shambles and it was like that before Beale came.

5.) 06 Sep 2023 17:01:06
Celtic have made more in sales than they have spent this year doesn’t seem to stop them from wining.

6.) 06 Sep 2023 17:12:21
To be fair to Beale the referee and VAR team didn't help on Sunday either.

7.) 06 Sep 2023 17:19:45
Weird comment that Raskin, you mean beating Rangers but not Killie or St Johnstone for example? Of course they sold a guy on a big ticket which was nice for them . Point is the board said there was a kitty, there wasn't and they lied.

Oh aye strength in depth Celtic B got pumped by East Kilbride, lots to look forward to for them then .

Biscuit tin v quality street tin?

8.) 06 Sep 2023 17:21:09
Aye because the ref and VAR set out our tactics ?.

9.) 06 Sep 2023 17:34:11
Celtic make a lot more from player sales than we do, Raskin. They made £25m from the sale of one guy. We en if you combine all the profit from our player sales it’s not even half that. Plus, they are much better at identifying talent that we are.

Let’s look at the last few years in isolation. Since the appointment of Ange a few years ago the majority of their signings have been positive ones. Whereas Rangers keep signing guys who are no better than what we had previously.

Rangers can catch Celtic while spending less, but the recruitment needs to be spot on.

10.) 06 Sep 2023 17:41:26
So is that another boardroom clear out you’re looking for Davie, after the last one roughly 4 months ago?. Doesn’t really matter what the ‘net spend’ has been. The fact we managed to bring in money from sales is a good thing, something we have been crying out for as fans for the club to do for years. In fact being able to break even (we didn’t actually we still spent more overall than brought in) is exactly what we are trying to do and have been for years. It should not be any clubs aim to spend way more than they bring in, can I remind you of where that got us 10 years or so ago! What is more important is spending the money we do have on the CORRECT players and working out the best formation and style for them to play in. Something we can all agree currently hasn’t happened.

11.) 06 Sep 2023 17:45:27
Net spend is nonsense he still spent 10m on a forward line that don't like they can play together, what was Gios net spend? He was aprox 17m in the green, didn't make any differenrce when he spent 8m on two defenders not suited to our game.

12.) 06 Sep 2023 18:17:57
Net spend is a myth the guy spend 13 million got rid a players everyone agreed should of been sold now the board are liars the excuses out our fans are a bit embarrassing the players aren’t performing but to say we’ve no spent since we’ve finally no running at a lose is a good laugh.

13.) 06 Sep 2023 18:27:32
And by the way, you’ll find that the board spent most of the money bringing in players BEFORE players were sold (only Colak basically went before our spending was finished) . There was no guarantee that we would of made most of the money back in sales. What it will therefore mean is that come January and next summer there will hopefully now still be a decent budget available. That’s the way it works, spend money, then make money back so that we can continue to spend in the future.

14.) 06 Sep 2023 18:42:32
You do know that we wouldn`t have to write a cheque for the whole amount for Lammers, Dessers, Danilo and Cifuentes right away . To say the board had paid out the transfer fees before they took any money except for Colak shows a complete lack of understanding of how the transfer system works . Last season we bought Davies for £4 million but we are paying it, at a million a season over 4 seasons.

15.) 06 Sep 2023 18:44:47
I agree on player sales verdant if a player has not signed a deal we should actively look to sell . lundstrum should have been sold barasic too.

16.) 06 Sep 2023 18:57:05
Not spent by sending a suitcase full, all will be on the drip and so will incoming cash so as per usual no personal risk by anyone re spending money, got to be safe and no lose 2 bob, a few of these blazers would keck themselves if they dropped 2 bob running for a bus .

Not what we need and never have been, Ronnie and Reggie Easedale probably lost money but none of the rest of them have. the punters and sponsors spend money nobody else does, all safe and sound or you're no getting it to hold, maybe even a wee profit mmmmm.

17.) 06 Sep 2023 19:23:45
Wlsgers, I know that, however they still have to commit to that money going out the club, just like the money coming in from sales doesn’t all come in at once. However the accounts sheets still need to account for all in’s and outs and we need to make them balance, especially where FFP is concerned! So we can’t go about spending more than is brought in overall or we will get hammered by UEFA. Clearly you have a complete lack of understanding of how accounting and financial fair play works!

18.) 06 Sep 2023 19:40:59
So is there any media outside ibrox or not?

19.) 06 Sep 2023 20:15:10
I agree with verdant twice on the same thread this is progress I feel .

Gers1978 UEFA ain't bothered about spending 2 bob more than you bring in and there are many ways to spin things re finance but that's all irrelevant when you have people running a club who would not risk losing any personal cash whatsoever, this has gone on for decades just for the benefit of a tie, blazer and all the other benefits, to be fair most clubs in Scotland at all levels are the same.

Scottish football is polluted with chancers and has never been much different.

20.) 06 Sep 2023 20:51:41
Unfortunately Davie UEFA do care, that’s why we were one of the clubs put on their watch list last year. Shouldn’t be an issue as long as we sleep improving true financial performance of the club like we have been doing. And to be honest it really shoulDon’t be done to anyone ‘running a business’ (ie board members) to be putting in wads of their own cash.

It’s not like the days of Murray where the person running the club was also the owner. The club is ‘owned’ now by vast amounts of shareholders, the board members are just elected figure heads (shareholders can vote them out if they don’t like them) . But to say they haven’t risked losing any cash whatsoever is just factually totally incorrect. Virtually all of them ploughed in their own money to keep the business going, meeting shortfalls and keeping the club in the black, to save they haven’t is to have quite a short memory.

21.) 06 Sep 2023 21:31:40
Davie 1962 u don’t have a clue, I love my tie. U r so jellos.

22.) 07 Sep 2023 00:04:58
I have a tie John got it from an ex player many years ago, wee guy from Kirkcaldy and he took no bull from anybody, oh to find another like him .

Gers1978 Plenty ways around that mate or it would be a new Communist football league and it ain't, we don't have the smart guys or the money men and that's the problem. Murray thought he was and he clearly wasn't.

Wait till the Saudi's get invited in to the CL then it all kicks off mate. They will take over everything with Snooker next as they have golf and boxing sewn up . then football, won't be long now.

I think curling is safe though, possibly, but womens beach volleyball will never go topless.

23.) 07 Sep 2023 12:49:58
Whether is is net spend or all being funded by the board it is the standard that you bring in that counts . Nobody has a big problem with the free transfers, they haven`t done much but there is little expectation but to pay the money we did for Dessers, Lammers and Danilo and see what they are like is disappointing, Say, the board had authorised another £10 million and Beale brought in a winger and a centre back of the same standard as these three we would still be in a poor state . I was not for signing the likes of Shankland but for the money is he any worse than Dessers? Would Nisbet at a couple of million not get us more goals than Lammers? We went for players not performing at their clubs and they are doing the same with us . Its just bad strategy from a manager who thinks he can rebuild everybody.

13 Jul 2023 17:16:51
Don't shoot the messenger. just passing on what I heard. McKenna on a loan to buy in the pipeline.

Aribo

1.) 13 Jul 2023 17:34:37
I'd noticed his contract is up next summer, left footed and scottish. I'm sure he will divide opinions and he has had injuries but he would be worth considering for me.

2.) 13 Jul 2023 17:35:17
I’d take McKenna as a sensible option to help with our European squad. He’s a decent LCB.

3.) 13 Jul 2023 17:47:19
Are we talking about Scott McKenna, former Aberdeen, now Notts Forest?

4.) 13 Jul 2023 17:47:21
If his contract is up next summer it wouldn't be a loan to buy surely.

5.) 13 Jul 2023 17:48:05
McKenna is a good centre half imo also ?I would be happy if we could get him ?.

6.) 13 Jul 2023 17:49:09
No chance not for me like.

7.) 13 Jul 2023 17:52:59
Yes Scott. Didn’t check out his contract status before I posted but have heard it’s quite well on.

8.) 13 Jul 2023 17:54:49
McKenna is a far better cb than he gets credit for.

9.) 13 Jul 2023 18:02:49
I wrote this in April. They wanted Borna part of deal

McKenna was very interested.

10.) 13 Jul 2023 18:10:40
A fit McKenna on a fair wage makes a lot of sense. Probably on a fair wedge at Forrest no doubt and I wouldn’t like to see us overpay for him. Good player though. Like him.

11.) 13 Jul 2023 18:19:24
I would definitely take scott mckenna John27 and Aribo ? What's the chances guys, do you think it might be a goer ?I hope it is ?Did you get this news regarding mckenna from good sources guys ?.

12.) 13 Jul 2023 18:23:33
He always played well against Morelos, like the physical battle.
Would also bump up the Scottish players quota.

13.) 13 Jul 2023 18:23:33
Id take McKenna in a second. Forest fans loved him, solid CB.

14.) 13 Jul 2023 18:32:14
Yes at SWS, more an avid reader that intel but on this one it was from a good1.

15.) 13 Jul 2023 18:33:45
My only concern is could we afford scott mckenna as was he not valued by forest at £10million ?.

16.) 13 Jul 2023 18:47:42
I’d like McKenna but for me it would be as back up lcb I’d still want trusty
McKenna prob on £20k a week.
To buy him I’d say £4m if he’s in last year.
And the Scottish quota is met.

17.) 13 Jul 2023 18:48:20
McKenna is a thug.

18.) 13 Jul 2023 19:00:15
Nope wouldn't want him anywhere near rangers the walloper got morelos sent off a few times no thank you go after panzo or trusty or both.

19.) 13 Jul 2023 19:08:26
McKenna is plodding and slow, the only thing he has going for him is he is Scottish . That apart, no thanks.

20.) 13 Jul 2023 19:08:31
He is better than balogun that’s for sure I wouldn’t say no but a better CH went to Watford in RP z that no one wanted on here but will take McKenna.

21.) 13 Jul 2023 19:40:19
wslgers4ever

McKenna is actually extremely fast. He was the fastest player at Aberdeen before going to Forest. I’d be a bit surprised if he doesn’t end up in the EPL. That said he’s left footed and would be a great signing if we could get him.

22.) 13 Jul 2023 19:40:45
I wanted perteous was exactly what we need.

23.) 13 Jul 2023 19:41:40
McKenna is a better centre half than porteous stormtrooper common behave ?.

24.) 13 Jul 2023 19:42:49
Is balogun living in your head stormtrooper ? Forget it now he's here as backup get over it ?.

25.) 13 Jul 2023 19:44:12
I can see us going for McKenna now that king is out and McRorie wants to leave, need some scottish players for euro squad.
I think we will only get 1 of Trusty/ Panzo and only if Davies gets sold.
can see Mayo being sold to Kilmarnock which leaves Goldson, Soutter, Balogun and Davies. Beale said he wanted 2 for each position plus an extra CB, so i think we are only in the market for 1 x LCB unless Davies does indeed get sold.

26.) 13 Jul 2023 20:27:49
Porteous better than McKenna lol behave! I can’t believe folk don’t want him. So what if he got morelos sent off morelos gave as good as he got! McKenna is a thug lol explain?

27.) 13 Jul 2023 21:13:28
'he got Morelos sent off' Morelos could do that himself. And to say McKennas a thug and that Porteous is better is just ludicrous.

28.) 13 Jul 2023 21:46:54
McKenna is bang average, let’s be honest. The only reason we might go for him is because he is left footed.

The lad Pollock had a much better season at Aberdeen than McKenna ever had.

Hopefully this is just a stunt to try and reduce the Trusty fee?

29.) 13 Jul 2023 22:05:54
Morelos getting sent off cause he couldn’t handle the wind ups from Mckenna says more about him.

30.) 13 Jul 2023 22:08:16
Monty I rate McKenna I think he’s a good player and I’d be glad to have him. But ? porteous is a better player than McKenna. Agree with most your posts lately mate u have a lot of exact same views as myself but think u should behave on this one mucker ??.

31.) 14 Jul 2023 00:25:36
John, apologies, didn’t realise you had reported this months ago. Your posts are generally bang on and informative. Didn’t mean to post onto of a post. Just heard somthing and shared. Also heard Danilo deal close. Came from someone with h the same surname as Simone with a car garage named after them.

13 Jul 2023 15:25:19
McCrorie apparently having exit talks with Rangers according to Christopher Jack and Man U apparently showing interest.

Aribo

1.) 13 Jul 2023 16:07:16
Apparently Jon McLaughlin is to be number 2 no wonder the boy wants to leave.

2.) 13 Jul 2023 16:14:44
This is a major mistake man we need to guarantee him 20 games a season or something he plays in the cups and a few league games.

3.) 13 Jul 2023 16:15:23
Was always going to happen when Butland came in let's be honest.

Hope he gets the time he's looking for elsewhere.

4.) 13 Jul 2023 16:16:00
He wants to leave rangers to play 1st team football so he's not going to go to man u.

5.) 13 Jul 2023 16:21:54
Agree paul.

Apparently McLaughlin told he is the number 2 and we r kooky to extend his deal for two years.

6.) 13 Jul 2023 16:24:08
Another boy we have ruined should have been given all of last season to prove himself.

7.) 13 Jul 2023 16:36:25
This will turn out a disastrous mistake
he’s good enough to be our number 1
Who’s to say Butland will be better
We have a right problem with playing our own

what’s he ever done wrong when he’s been in goals?
that any of our other keepers haven’t done when they’ve been in
How can McLaughlin even be considered no2 he’s been horrendous
mccrorie should be number 1 until he loses it simple.

8.) 13 Jul 2023 16:40:28
this would be a mistake, he should at least be our num two,

he's definitely our future num one keeper this boy is class n has shown us just how so ; i would have him over mglachlin,

i think if he dose leave its one we will regret as he's top pedigree.

9.) 13 Jul 2023 17:00:00
It's McLaughlin that needs to go.

10.) 13 Jul 2023 17:02:19
We are kooky? what does that mean?

11.) 13 Jul 2023 17:14:18
Thanks for partly putting my mind at rest John, I like McCrorie and can understand why he would want to go but it only takes an injury or a loss of form for Butland and McCrorie would be ready.
The thought of McLaughlin being anywhere near being our goalkeeper is not something that I even want to think about. As I am sure you know I just do not rate the guy!

12.) 13 Jul 2023 17:20:08
Think he meant looking.

13.) 13 Jul 2023 17:29:50
Machines clearly it’s auto correct use your brain the connect the sentence instead of trying to be an idiot . He means looking.

14.) 13 Jul 2023 17:47:55
Berkshireblue, you're not the only one who doesn't rate McLaughlin, he's not good enough to be anywhere near our squad.

15.) 13 Jul 2023 18:04:07
Machines looking.

16.) 13 Jul 2023 18:04:56
Mark beale rates him. That’s all that matters.

17.) 13 Jul 2023 18:42:17
John, that display against Celtic was a shambles, he shouldn't be near our squad, but I take your point, it's Beale's decision.

18.) 13 Jul 2023 19:14:11
McLaughlin got his chance at the start of last season and was poor, if McCrorie has been told that McLaughlin would be in front of him then that is a disgrace and no wonder he wants to move. If McCrorie leaves to further his career then we will need to sign a back up to Butland but definitely not Clark, he is the same standard as McLaughlin and would cost us cash and not improve anything.

19.) 13 Jul 2023 19:30:28
Wsl, I’m sure the back up will be non Scot.

Further reducing the 17 foreign players we can name in Europe.

20.) 13 Jul 2023 20:56:57
Berkshireblue McLaughlin is a great goalkeeper. If he is happy to be at rangers as a 2nd keeper I’m happy with that. your welcome to your opinion but your another rangers fan absolutely going to town on a rangers player. How do u know if he is called app-on if butland gets injured he will fail. I’ve seen him have so many great games for rangers. He was signed and is a rangers player for a reason.

17 Jan 2023 10:48:18
Romano posted about interest in Whittaker. Says the player wants the move. promising.

For what it's worth, my thoughts on tonight.

I get we were poor, particularly in the first half and didn't really look a threat until later in the second half (tough watch at times and I was there) but Ibrox is toxic just now. Fans are perfectly entitled to make their feelings known as it's our money that funds the club, but any missed pass etc is met with venom. We have a new manager who is stuck with MB's "rebuild" team. I'm sure he can get a better tune out of them than MB but he needs time and also get his players in.

Danilo had more touches and made a bigger impact in his first 10 mins than Dessers did in the entire first half.

Lammers was poor again too and think Mccaudkand should have replaced him instead of Cantwell.

Cantwell was at great tonight, think he's still a few weeks off being fully fit but definitely a player.

Ultimately we closed the gap this week so should be happy, we can only get better from here.

Aribo

1.) 30 Oct 2023 05:34:31
Very good well worded post Aribo ???.

2.) 30 Oct 2023 07:45:52
I'm offshore the now have been for weeks so can't properly gauge myself recently but my mates said exactly the same, atmosphere is toxic, I was at the old firm an that's probably the worst I'd heard, I can't stand the boos it rips me, apparently lammers got it bad yesterday, I just don't feel this helps anyone at all, it just makes the player feel worse and panic or scared to lose the ball, gets fans against each other and makes the place look bad, it just breeds bad blood and needs to stop, how many times did PC mention the fans basically being 12th man when he took the job, it's not rocket science to work out what he means, it's a new manager in who I honestly am delighted about but we need to try and get off some players backs it's constant, I still don't get the hatred of tav and goldson it's unbelievable, this not a leader nonsense needs put to bed, it's 2023 not 1983, I'd Love a Gough or butcher I grew up with that type of captain but tav is a different type of captain but doesn't mean he's not doing the job a manager wants listen to Clements presser yesterday and that tells you what he feels of him, another manager another captain band, tav must have skin like a Rhyno he gets worse abuse of an element of our fans than them at the san giro.

3.) 30 Oct 2023 08:13:01
Playing Devils Advocate, the fans are seeing the same players underperforming on a weekly basis.
And what doesn’t help is that some are Beales signings which will stick in a lot of fans throats as poor signings and a waste of money.
For some fans it’s hard to switch off from this mentality and it wouldn’t have helped that Celtic had dropped points the previous day and w looked like throwing the opportunity away to close the gap.
Fans don’t turn up to boo but they need something back to get behind the team which then feeds the team and so on.
I’ve never booed. Might say a occasionally but that’s the passion, highs and lows of being a fan.

4.) 30 Oct 2023 08:29:06
I agree the atmosphere is toxic and has been for weeks, teams talk of their twelfth man we certainly don’t have that it’s as if some fans can’t wait to get to the game to abuse certain players, it wasn’t the best yesterday but what do they expect PC has the same players Beale left and we know he made a mess of recruitment, for god sake get behind the team there will be misplaced passes missed pens conceding goals but until the Jan transfer window PC can’t change players, we fought to the end and got the points first half wasn’t pretty second was better, so we need to get 90 mins out of the team we have some very important games coming up so let’s get behind the team through the good and the bad I’m sure player know they are falling below what is expected they don’t need the fans telling them.

5.) 30 Oct 2023 09:27:26
Does anyone think that young McCausland could become a regular? Or will he be moved on? Thus signing a new contract to get a fee?

6.) 30 Oct 2023 10:04:01
Carrick can’t see him reaching anywhere near 50 starts in his rangers career.

7.) 30 Oct 2023 10:43:06
Really John, I thought he's looked decent when coming on, much better than Wright.

8.) 30 Oct 2023 10:56:43
yip its 2023 and captains should still be a leader, its a non negotiable attribute.

9.) 30 Oct 2023 12:16:53
Baz let’s wait and see. He was struggling for games in b team b4 Davis gave him a break, he is mot a patch on Lovelace.

I hope I’m wrong and he plays loads, because It means he is delivering

Look at many on here say we need to sing wingers, they r not saying mcausland is the answer.

10.) 30 Oct 2023 12:34:53
I remember u saying he wouldn’t play 10 games John.

Now your saying he won’t play 50 so the boys already proving his doubters wrong.

Hopefully he can Improve and compete for a place in the team over next few years and be sold on for a good price as that’s now got to be the sim for us with our youngsters.

11.) 30 Oct 2023 12:43:07
Would rather have him on that wright as he is better than him. We need at least one winger in jan.

12.) 30 Oct 2023 13:21:26
I agree John that lovelace is the standout youngster along with Rice and Lowry I'd say. I've not seen a lot of McAusland, just when he's played for 1st team but I quite like what I've seen. I think I'd rather have guys like him getting minutes and getting better. Players reach their potential at various ages but I do see your point and know that you'd be happy if he went on to do well.

13.) 30 Oct 2023 13:25:28
McCausland is a different type from Lovelace and there's no reason that they can`t both breakthrough . Looking at the B team this season, McCausland has out scored everyone including Lovelace. I don`t know whether he can make it but let's give him a chance, he looks far more intelligent than Wright and we need to give our boys a fair shake .

14.) 30 Oct 2023 17:12:54
Stevie ok I won’t give him benof doubt let’s stick at ten,

Lowry will not reach a 100.

15.) 30 Oct 2023 17:15:38
Guys go and look at these players deals not one has a contract past 2025. Rice can leave at 18 for nothing same as Lovelace

Mcausland can go n May and has already knocked back our first offer of one year extension.

16.) 30 Oct 2023 18:30:16
Lowry is 100 in his career for us.

17.) 30 Oct 2023 20:30:01
Rice should be playing.

20 Aug 2023 03:34:21
Ok, forget rumours for just a second. Based on what we as fans have seen, what do you think we need to do recruitment wise before the window closes. Yes there needs to be outgoings, however this is a question purely on what do we need and who could we get with in our budget?

Aribo

1.) 20 Aug 2023 06:00:43
Another centre back, a right back and a striker believe it or not as ones we have bought don’t look like it.

2.) 20 Aug 2023 06:21:45
Better quality over the pitch .

3.) 20 Aug 2023 06:59:00
We definitely imo need a left sided centre half and a left winger even if matondo is now going to be given a chance ?I still say we had a natural goalscorer and shouldn't have sold him ie antonio colak that's just my honest opinion guys, as you can never get enough natural finishers for me ?.

4.) 20 Aug 2023 08:02:37
Beale wants our squad dropping down to 24/ 25 players but keep Colak after signing four forward players maybe just maybe Colak ain't got enough movement for our manager sws.

5.) 20 Aug 2023 09:08:57
If we get Damari Gray/ Palma in to fill the wide position along with another Centre half I'd be delighted. Midfield is fine and I think the forwards signed, Danilo and Dessers, will come good.

6.) 20 Aug 2023 09:22:43
I think we need, LCB, CDM and RW.

7.) 20 Aug 2023 09:24:07
New manager with the handbrake off.

8.) 20 Aug 2023 09:40:46
Patience and loyalty.

9.) 20 Aug 2023 09:55:43
I'm definitely loyal DK but I'm impatient.

10.) 20 Aug 2023 09:59:26
Exactly DK with you all the way.

11.) 20 Aug 2023 10:24:21
Why keep a man that feigns injury.

12.) 20 Aug 2023 10:11:09
I'd like us to hit the Norwegian/ Swedish leagues and stay as far away from the English championship as possible. Get our scouts in South America instead of Stoke city and the likes. I think Beale over estimates the English 2nd tier.

13.) 20 Aug 2023 10:51:39
We definitely need a LCB, LW and RW. We also need to properly work on integrating and developing Yfeko, Devine, Rice, Lyall and Lovelace. They all look like good prospects. More importantly the squad is massive and needs heavily trimmed.

We need to ship out McLaughlin, Davies, Barasic (unless he signs an extension), Kamara, Lundstrum, Wright, Matondo, Roofe (because I don't think he'll stay fit) . Also, and it won't happen this summer as they've just arrived, but I'd also include Sima and Lammers. People will say give them a chance, but there's nothing to suggest from their performances in the last year, that they will magically become good. Harsh, possibly, but we will see at Christmas time just what they've added to the team.

14.) 20 Aug 2023 11:00:43
Don’t need a right back, need to play the boy we have brought in, needed a commanding centre half last year so nothing has changed there, left back if we lose one of the two that we have, winger possibly but would say priority is being tougher defensively.

15.) 20 Aug 2023 11:02:07
Rangers clearly had scouts watching the games in the mls and there's some amount of South Americans in that league Sima, just signed a class one in Cifuentes.

16.) 20 Aug 2023 11:52:05
Priority for me is width and I’ve done a full 360 on that, preference was an CB, on seeing shape and the way he’s going to play. If he sticks to the narrow rotations it will be his downfall. Using the full park in Scottish football is key and not a tactical genius, we have better players all over the park.

17.) 20 Aug 2023 11:56:36
He was signed from MLS Besle that's north America.

18.) 20 Aug 2023 15:05:46
Agree 100% scotty we have the players IMHO but the way we're setting up doesn't suit. I'm a Tav/ Batasic fan when they're getting forward but system seems to curtail at least tav if not barasic.

Not goi g to lie, I have been to all the ho e season friendlies as well as the livi game. My Initial reaction is we are miles off it up front.

However, if you break it down a little more, Dessers could have scored a worldly with that take down and volley, Matondo has never looked so dangerous. Lammers eye for a pass is outstanding. I am. Ow more in the camp of give them to
W rather that harass them out. Danillio, even though he didn't start today has a li Ely touch. PSVmay e too seen, however the rest of the season is very much open. Let's back rather than attack, will be a completely diff team mid week.

Not the result any of us were hoping for today.

For what it's worth, here's my thoughts. Beale has come in, steadied the ship, stopped shipping stupid points in the league and got us heading in the right direction. Are we back where we were for 55 season. no, but that took 3 seasons. Beale hasn't even had a window to get his own players in, but has got a better tune out the current orchestra than Gio could manage. Although we lost today is wasn't embarrassing and we were in the game. This season will be what it will be now, ? we can do them in the semi. Let's get behind Beale and the team, let's trust Beale to have a good window and hope what he is saying around decent budget for a Gers manager comes to fruition and huddle him not on what has been a turn around from an exceptionally poor start to a season when he wasn't here, but once he has his team in place after a full pre season. ??.

We shipped stupid points yesterday with 2 horrendous mistakes from CHs I still don’t know what Davies was trying to do, any decent defender puts that in row Z and gives them a corner, I still don’t know what he is trying to achieve with the header. Souttar not played many games at all but that back pass was bad he seen two Celtic players coming at him and bottled it.

Well said aribo.

Seen a lot of first time posters spouting wild stuff recently too. I don’t have any contacts or inside knowledge so generally don’t post rumours, I just like to join in the discussion. John, Whitehorse, Beale and others make this site for me and keep me reading.

Dessers numbers flatter to deceive. Put a striker in the ilk of Coisty, millet, Boyd Alfie (when fit and interested) in Dessers playing time they would have scored far more. Dessers May get another 10 goals, but it’s the ones he doesn’t that I fear will cost us. I would love us to sign an out and out striker that will put them away at a better ratio than Dessers.

McCausland looked really sharp when he came on, his cross field through ball for Danilo was brilliant. He caused them all sorts of issues when he came on. Drop Lammers, play Cantwell behind Danilo and start McCausland wide right IMO is the way to go.

Agree Verdant, our revenue making off the pitch has improved dramatically, if only we had spent money on quality player who entertained the fans rather than going for net zero spend we would sell a lot more strips. Speculate to accumulate and all that and that’s before taking performance related money into account.

Verdant, Celtic unfortunately have made millions from their trading model, look at Jota, Dembele, Van Dijk to name but a few, they have 10s of millions in that biscuit tin. It can be done with the right recruitment. As much as it pains me to say it, what is the sell on value of our team vs theirs? Kyogo compared to Dessers, hatate vs Lundstrum. Our issue ain’t just poor tactics/ management, it’s poor recruitment too.
