Hope you all had a good Christmas.
Just watching some highlights of the B Team and I think Weston, Devine and Alegria are ready for the step up as they look sharp and not out of their depth playing albeit Lowland League teams but MEN and coming away with performances and results.
Let me know your thoughts guys.

I think they're to good for the b team and the league its in but not ready for our first team yet, a loan spell at a championship side in england were they would face much better opposition would be a good test for these players, few others including mccausland and mccann would also benefit from a loan spell as well.

Most youngsters won’t get a start in championship team it’s a step up from 90% of the spfl
Also don’t see how anyone can say ready for step up to our 1st team watching highlights to be honest.
John watches them most weeks would rather go with what he thinks than highlights.

Correct John, they'd be better off stepping up to a Scottish championship club or even SPL clubs on loan. They've made progress, but it's still the fifth tier they're currently playing in.

I think English championship is maybe too much of a jump for these boys at moment.
Ideally a lower spl club or a Scottish championship would suit them better in my opinion.

You're possibly right about the championship john either way some of these players need to play in a better league if it's the championship in england or the spl I'd be happy, quite a few of them could be regulars in the first team in a few seaons ( hopefully)

Guys, is it just me?
Hagi has the talent to be a wonderful player in any league but his decision making is shocking, every game I bite my knuckles when he makes some rookie mistake.
Dont get me started on Tom and Allan talking about Kamara saying "I'd hope for double figures on any transfer".
If he played ANYWHERE else than Scotland he's a 40+ million pound player, this guy could slot into any team in the World and with better players he would shine even brighter.

I want to agree but in recent games Haji does not show he could play in any league. Yes he is 2 footed, yes he can take a corner, yes he can find a pass BUT in recent form he looses possession, can't take on the half turn and ends up passing back, over hit easy passes and no killer passes at all. Maybe its his position, could he be a deep midfield maestro for somebody like a Pirlo (aye I know) in a different league that's less physical or fast. I want him to do well but his severe lack of pace is holding him back in Sco.

Anyone got anything on this boy XAVI SIMONS?
I watched a few YouTubes on him and while very talented he seems like he would get kicked to bits up here.
Hagi comes to mind as he has all the skill but I watch him and think for his carees he would be better off elsewhere as the "Run and Smash" of our game doesn't suit him, European football aftre a few seasons here would suit him better now as we have toughened him up.
I think Kamara, Aribo will get pinched, in fact I have no doubt but appreciate anyones thoughts on the matter.
Is anyone coming in for Kent? I think Goldson goes to more money but a lower stature club.

Ok, been a while since I posted as during a C.V. it seemed unimportant but I'm back, with a bang!
Wilson, our DOF is proven at Premiership level BUYING players for millions. The Southampton academy is known for it's ability to spot good young talent and bring them through, this was not his job.
On saying that I wonder what my fellow Bears think of the job the mans done so far, to be honest I'm quite dissapointed as he knew he was coming to a club without Premeiership finances and seems to have splashed what cash we had.
Hagi is a lost soul in our team, he should be out 10 with No:8 backup.
The formation has to change or the players have to, have we seen the best of Aribo?
Goldson is a tower but Walter or Fergie would have ditched him when he's not interested ina a PERMANENT CONTRACT FOR TENS OF THOUSANDS A WEEK?
Again just my opinion as when most people are struggling to have this ballon stall for a year is dry humping my last nerve.
If Niko plays more, Niko gets to be a better player.
And for a guy who made the Liverpool team at 17 he seems to be very reticent about giving youth a chance.

Think aribo has been a great signing. Hagi although doesn't always perform great both him and aribo added big numbers last season both goals and assists. Niko can only play if the better footballers in the 11 before him cannot play for some reason.

Signed on an 18 month loan with exclusive option to buy but the price so far is unknown, expected to be upwards of 6 mill if other MLS talent coming to Europe is a marker.
I think the City Group look at the 18 month period to grow his valuation at The Famous as we have some big scalps in front of us in Celtic and Dortmund which will only grow his profile if he gets games which I beleive he will as he is talked about as an oustanding talent and at 21 has won the Gold Cup for the States and the MLS Cup for NYC and apparently was on a short list as Gio wanted him now.
This may be that the guys know Kamara is getting sniffed arounf and may leave so better to have the optimal replacement in the door before he goes.

Hagi is too hit and miss for me, very consistant in pausing, getting caught in possesion, wild shots - When we know he can shot both feet from range!
Arfield is done in our system, he'll do a fantastic job at any other team though.
