Does anyone see this next 6 weeks as title defining with away games against Aberdeen, Celtic and home games with Hearts and Hibs? I think it's pivotal point where we could cement one hand on the trophy and the cash injection we need or it could be blown wide open. Any thoughts?

Celtic also play Hibs, Hearts, Aberdeen and us within the next 5 games. We’ll know more by mid February but if we’re still at least 6 clear (I suspect t we’ll be more than 6 points) then we’ll be in a good position. At all hangs on the old firm, Celtic simply can’t lose which is a horrible situation to be in when playing the most inform team in the league.

While it’s not a given that we have it won, I would say we are in a very strong position. We have hit form at a great time and Celtic were struggling for weeks. I don’t think they can just snap out of that form. The have all the pressure as they now must win at all costs. Another slip and it would be a very big ask from them. They are hoping that we slip and inevitably I think we will but so will they. It’s looking good but let’s not hang the banners out just yet. Loads of work still to be done!

Maximum points in the next 6 games and i think its pretty much ours.
Big ask to keep the run going but this break should hopefully have given Gio and co the time to get there ideas across to the players even more.

New to here fellas, been following a while and like the crack! Just quick question on shinnie, anyone heard much and would you take him on a free as a left back to challenge barisic next season whilst also covering the middle of the park?

He would be Ok but I wouldn't bother with him. We have a number of options in the central area still and I'm not convinced by him at left back.
I would rather we went for keep Jack and Barisic first choice and the much improved Halliday to cover and try to develop of bring in younger.
I think we should generally avoid trying to deal with the likes of Hibs and Aberdeen who have always tried to be difficult.

It probably is looking likely we will get someone in with Bacuna leaving so fingers crossed. Don't know much about Amoo but will hope something happens and we can get back on the horse starting with a win tonight.

I know there is a lot of noise on Skov Olsen doing the rounds again but quiet on Summerville and Amuzu who are players we was linked with when GVB first arrived and would be cheaper option. Do you think the club will be actively pursuing them aswell to replace Hagi. Rumours Summerville could be going to Hamburg on loan to buy?

I think the problem is like was said earlier that we haven't got a big budget so strengthening the first 11 is going to prove difficult when likes of Kamara and Aribo, Kent etc are fit. We are going to have to be innovative probably and every transfer regardless what we pay is a risk especially if the players isn't used to the rigours of the SPL. Massive period coming up and whilst I have faith I am a bit nervous. Any thoughts?

I'm tending not to agree with the fact it is a disappointing window as yet as
1.Still half the month to do business anyway
2.We have brought some defensive cover in (James Sands)
3.Under the transition of a new manager we have yet to concede a goal with a left back at centre back
4.Signed Leon King to a new deal
5.We have players returning from layoffs etc Helander, Balogun
I get other teams are maki g signings around us but we need to focus on us and trust Gio will put the right pieces together when possible as the product on the pitch lately has been first class.

I think a lot will come down to whether we are playing Champions League football or not.
If that 40 million is lost and we don't win the league then I think several will be sold and a rebuild will begin again.

Good post, I agree! Only first 11 is what needs stengthening at the minute. I expect bosmans which could come earlier at a price but unless we are getting stronger for the push to the jackpots of the Champs League, I would think we wouldn't do much else. Right wing and centre back is only areas of concern for me and the hope we start the the next chapter of our season after a break on the front foot!
