Dear all please don't worry about the takeover.
There is a gentleman who works for the Sf49ers (he's a level below the board but still an executive for their company) who married a Scottish lady. She grew up near me and is still in contact with a few people I know. She has maintained to the people in contact with her that ' takeover is happening. ' No further info given. Nothing coming back to say anything is in jeopardy. She's not much of a football fan but her dad is a mad bluenose. Keep believing troops.
1.) 19 Apr 2025 17:18:37
De Boer not doubting anything you say but only 5 minutes ago you were quoting about people doubting and you being confident it would happen. the above is a little more that that.
personally I think the current process we are going through with cut backs and buying potential will see us good eventually anyway so I might be the only fan who doesn't have a worry on whether it happens or not anyway.
2.) 19 Apr 2025 17:55:39
Angus I'm just saying WHY I'm confident.
3.) 19 Apr 2025 18:40:24
DeBoer all I am pointing out is that in the post below you didn't seem as confident, but I am being a little picky. Just the two posts together seemed a little disjointed. As I say I don't doubt what you say so please take no offence.
4.) 19 Apr 2025 20:12:23
Was the Conference League not like his first trophy in over 10 years hard pass for me especially way the cash he spends.
5.) 19 Apr 2025 19:57:29
Fingers crossed Deboer all info well recieved.
6.) 19 Apr 2025 20:22:54
No offence taken at all Angus. I didn't want to give away my source mate.
7.) 19 Apr 2025 20:33:38
Surely if the takeover was close to collapse as some say, why would those guys attend the game on Thursday? Surely they wouldn't bother.
8.) 19 Apr 2025 21:14:27
Super i'd doubt that as well also as I posted yesterday the 49s don't need 51% to be in charge only the mist shares as I read they have that already.
9.) 20 Apr 2025 08:07:18
Hi OWS. I'm not doubting you at all, rather hoping you can clear something up for me please. If the 49ers don't need 51% (or 50% plus one share) to be in charge; but only the most shares, why is Dave King not in charge now? I think he currently has the most shares but he doesn't seem to be in charge. Am I misunderstanding (certainly wouldn't be the first time that's for sure)?
10.) 20 Apr 2025 08:44:48
Big Craig Houston has actually been approached by the Yanks to be next CEO. They love how he comes across on Youtube channels and has over 50 thousand subs. He will stop doing the 10 minute moans on YouTube when he has been confirmed as next CEO.
11.) 20 Apr 2025 10:15:12
Blue they need 51% to be able to have the majority if there were a vote to get anything done (except special resolution which needs 75%) . if they have less then they would rely on creating alliances with other shareholders which I don't see them being happy with. If they get more shares than current highest then all they become is majority shareholder and don't have the same influence.
12.) 20 Apr 2025 10:44:52
TheBells - Craig Houston as CEO ???
I like the work Craig is doing but CEO of the club based on what?
13.) 20 Apr 2025 11:59:28
One Walter if 49s own 35% of shares how r they in charge. Could lose every single vote.
14.) 20 Apr 2025 12:45:34
Thanks Angus - that makes sense and is what I would have thought to be the case but I've read a few different posts on here saying they only need to have the most shares. It's good to have clarity.
15.) 20 Apr 2025 16:31:16
Again qualifying statement.
24 Jan 2025 18:44:32
Rangers Review have posted a Facebook post, profiling Ewan Wilson. He's a left back for Motherwell 20 years old and has played 21 games. Anyone think he'd be decent?
1.) 24 Jan 2025 19:31:49
He was very good against us in the 2-2 game, I honestly thought he was right back though, I can see he was left back, I wasn't even drunk.
Not seen much of him but he played well that game.
2.) 24 Jan 2025 20:20:06
We should be all over James Penrice from Hearts.
3.) 24 Jan 2025 20:36:29
My star, I think Penrice is too old for the new model.
4.) 24 Jan 2025 20:47:16
Rangers review do this with hundreds of players it doesn't mean we are interested.
I said a few weeks back we should be going for penrice much better left for our league than the two we have just now IMO.
5.) 24 Jan 2025 21:03:05
Been a stand out for Hearts this season.
6.) 24 Jan 2025 21:05:06
Deboer the lad is just approaching his best years. There needs to be a balance through the squad.
7.) 24 Jan 2025 21:37:23
He played with Beith Juniors a year ago.
8.) 24 Jan 2025 21:54:28
He's a decent player storm and can do a job. Sell yilmaz buy penrice looks a plan.
9.) 24 Jan 2025 21:59:58
I agree guys, hearts left back penrice is one we should be looking at ?I was impressed with him at livingston and have been even more impressed with him at hearts ?He has a wicked delivery ?.
10.) 24 Jan 2025 22:06:31
Johnny Miller still the gaffer at Beith?
11.) 24 Jan 2025 22:58:12
Yilmaz should be sold and penrice brought in.
He is rumored to have a 1m release clause.
Low wage and can provide a challenge to jefte.
12.) 24 Jan 2025 23:34:31
Fork johnny drives the taxis up ma way. So does his brother tam
2 cracking guys.
I played with tams boy Steven at boys club 20 year ago lol.
13.) 25 Jan 2025 06:26:29
Used to watch a bit of juniors back in the day, he always had them playing well.
14.) 25 Jan 2025 07:59:30
I played beith juniors in a few friendlies about 8/ 9 years ago. I played with vale of leven juniors. Beith park it's like in the middle of a housing scheme? Sure it has a artificial park next to it?
15.) 25 Jan 2025 09:03:20
Yilmaz should start left back and jefte left wing looked great when tried it, both compliment each other it's way forward both young, need a new keeper, butland making far too many mistakes of late and Kelly isn't good enough, the keeper from young boys looked good.
16.) 25 Jan 2025 09:29:27
Aye K&U a good few houses overlook it, don't know about the astro, not been over there in a long time bud.
17.) 25 Jan 2025 10:59:55
Too old? He's 22/ 23 is he not?
18.) 25 Jan 2025 11:12:11
Aye there is an astro park next to it now i played there couple year ago with my amateur team. The grass park is on a belter of a slant as well be tough shooting up the way second half!
19.) 25 Jan 2025 11:31:52
Off subject here lads, bit of a rant, surely it's time for rangers to ban this sun newspaper, it's the most anti rangers tabloid in circulation, never got a positive thing to say about our club, also this Ibrox news, I'm sure it's run by people, another lot with nothing good to say about our club, mb I'm just getting grumpy with old age ? just wondering if anyone else has noticed, WATP.
20.) 25 Jan 2025 12:16:30
There's usually a lot of green thumbnail pics all positive and the blue ones are armageddon usually. Been like that for ages Shark.
21.) 25 Jan 2025 12:28:20
Signing Penrice would be another own goal by the club, this time last year we could have signed him on a pre contract, just like Hearts eventually did, so to pay Hearts money for him a year later would be a major blunder by the recruitment team. If we didn't rate him then, what has changed . I'm pretty sure he hasn't improved that much in 6 months at Hearts.
If we are looking for a left back that bombs down the left and can cross a great ball, we should have give Fraser more of a chance.
22.) 25 Jan 2025 13:05:56
King must have been a decent player, mate?.
02 Nov 2024 14:20:19
When Clement was asked to sign his new contract and accept a different budget and wage bill, his lawyers made sure that early dismissal clauses were written into his contract. If he is sacked for any other reason except gross misconduct this season then his comp is increased dramatically.
It looks like there is no chance of him being sacked.
1.) 02 Nov 2024 14:26:28
Cool story bro.
2.) 02 Nov 2024 14:33:18
King, why would he need a new contract and not just sign a years extension then?
Give us your cool story bro?
3.) 02 Nov 2024 14:48:32
How could you possibly know what's in Phillip Clements contract?
4.) 02 Nov 2024 14:51:45
Amazing that ?.
5.) 02 Nov 2024 15:19:24
Super Ally, I don't know what's in his contract as in I don't know what the exact clauses are. I am told that he asked for written assurances that he wouldn't be sacked in the first year. Firstly is that too hard to believe and secondly, what would you do if you were in his position?
6.) 02 Nov 2024 15:33:00
Absolute nonsense. How do you know what’s in his contract?
7.) 02 Nov 2024 15:37:29
He doesn't.
8.) 02 Nov 2024 16:09:59
I don't find it hard to believe that he maybe asked not to be sacked in the first year of his contract. I would be astonished if anybody at board level or indeed the legal department at ibrox would consider signing off on that. I kniw our board haven't covered themselves in glory but it would be madness to say that you can't sack your manager without massive penalties. Also why would they give him a new contract. They woulds just left him on the old one.
9.) 02 Nov 2024 16:11:31
Once AGAIN, I don't know what in his contract and neither do anyone saying there is no such clause.
Can anyone give me a yes or no to the following questions.
If the board were to offer him a lower budget and a lower wage bill would he be wise to ask for an assurance that he wouldn't be sacked?
Why was he so sure yesterday that he won't be sacked?
10.) 02 Nov 2024 16:56:29
Rick, I don't it's a rumour!
11.) 02 Nov 2024 17:44:41
DeBoer; I agree no manager is going to accept a huge reduction on his wage budget and the culling of his most experienced players without some sort of reassurances he would be given time to build a team so in answer to your question I wouldn’t be surprised if his lawyers have got some clause written in but I have no proof of it just my thoughts.
12.) 02 Nov 2024 18:21:26
Twacoos also I have no proof either. It's a rumour on a rumour site after all. If he's still here in 2 months and we're still third then it will probably explain things.
13.) 02 Nov 2024 18:51:02
Clement wanted to resign. That’s why he was given a new contract.
14.) 02 Nov 2024 19:25:39
What if you know you’re a poor manager and would happily sign any extension with any conditions before you get found out.
15.) 02 Nov 2024 22:58:52
Sima he didn't sign an extension it's a new contract.
16.) 02 Nov 2024 22:59:26
Unbeliever I am struggling to understand what you mean.
17.) 03 Nov 2024 08:57:04
My understanding is that the goalposts were moved drastically on Clement. He arrived with promises of a certain budget with money to fund the players he wanted to bring in. My information is he went to the board with a list of players to be approved based on that budget and the board refused instead giving him his current budget and clauses in the new contract he signed in the summer to protect him from the current situation.
18.) 03 Nov 2024 13:05:36
There are lots of things wrong with the way we are playing but after the announcement this week re our financial position there is no doubt, Clement has been hung out to dry by the board . They have obviously moved the goal posts from what he was promised when he joined mid season, reneged on promises re budgets and then hidden away so that he has been left to take the flak . The contract extension now makes sense if they wanted him to stay with all this going on . Bennetts presser just before he retired dropped a few clues to this . What I don`t understand is Gilligan saying he had seen the accounts and they were strong and there was money to spend in January. We`ve heard that before and it never happened. Not supporting Clement but its hard to see how any decent manager would do any better under these circumstances . Gross mismanagement by both boards.
19.) 03 Nov 2024 13:06:12
Is there a sanity Claus.
20.) 03 Nov 2024 21:22:00
Sanity Claus? more chance with Santa Claus.
21.) 04 Nov 2024 20:47:59
Yup de boer he's been gave some sort of assurances mate, that's for sure mate.
16 Jan 2024 10:33:54
A couple of FB forums saying Viktor Dujanovic, left winger from Hammarby is an imminent signing but I can't see anything to corroborate it.
1.) 16 Jan 2024 12:16:28
DeBoer i mentioned this yesterday regarding our interest in viktor dukanovic mate ?Time will tell i wonder if CoplandFront5 or John227 have anything on if we're definitely interested in dukanovic ?.
2.) 16 Jan 2024 12:30:40
That lad would be a sensational signing but as its FB its likely ?.
3.) 16 Jan 2024 14:57:46
Dujanovic looks like a good signing, loves a goal from long distance, only 18, Montenegro international and currently Hammarsby's best player.
LW, valued at 3 mill euros, Swedish league hasn't started yet.
Chance to play in the europa with us, lads won 3 cups already, and finished top scorer.
just the kind of player that would do well in our league, and make us some good money in the long run.
4.) 16 Jan 2024 16:02:11
Looks the type of player we are screaming out for when we play against teams in a low block.
5.) 16 Jan 2024 17:08:19
Dujanovic looks the part and ticks all the right boxes to be fair, we can all but hope, a think it could be easier to release money when when it looks a good investment but more than likely just a name someone threw out there.
28 Dec 2022 11:25:57
Reports saying that Raskin wants to go to France. No direct quotes from him though. Hopefully we still have a chance.
1.) 28 Dec 2022 13:42:06
Let him go that's his choice we don't want or need people that are not going to play for the shirt we need to bring in players like Gilmore scottish players that know what the club is all about even uk based young talents instead of a player that you don't know will work out.
2.) 28 Dec 2022 15:09:24
oh you mean the gilmour who ran off to england at the first sniff of a payout, hardly playing for a shirt is it?
3.) 28 Dec 2022 15:13:06
This boy would work out tho Stephen the boy is that good.
4.) 28 Dec 2022 15:23:12
Gilmore left for England that’s hardly playing for the jersey??♂️.
5.) 28 dec 2022 16:29:24
how do you know anyone will work out stephen, no guarantees on any player, we’ve paid millions on “ superstars “ who didn’t work out
it’s a lottery in that regard.
6.) 28 Dec 2022 17:09:29
Wild ideas that! We'll buy the best players available for the positions we need and that are happy to come to us regardless of their motivation. It's then up to management and the player to make the most of the opportunity.
7.) 28 Dec 2022 17:39:07
Honestly think we may have missed the boat with Raskin should have done n sealed it last window, so many teams in for him now.
8.) 28 Dec 2022 17:42:24
There is no chance storm raskin coming to us if he's that good and getting linked with players in the papers never happens and billy gilmore never got his chance got his big move to the epl who would turn that down the chance to move that young has worked out so bring him home he's a rangers fan and would love to wear the shirt and you know he would play for the shirt.
9.) 28 dec 2022 20:52:41
he doesn’t want to come “ home” 8, his heart is set on being a successful player in england,
10.) 28 Dec 2022 20:57:23
That’s different to what you said before Stephen you said go for Gilmour instead of a player you don’t know that will work out ? how do you know either player will work? Gilmour left when he was 16 so it’s not that he didn’t get a chance here he went plain and simple but he could have stayed and played for the jersey like you said he wants to do now ?.
11.) 28 dec 2022 21:43:01
silly infantile emojis ain’t my style stephen but i have to say there’s better options at the cost than gilmour, i’m not certain that is what we need right now.
12.) 29 Dec 2022 01:56:53
Who would turn down the chance to go to epl at 16? I for one, would rather stay and okay for the club I always dreamed of playing for, whilst potentially making a comfortable living, but money nowadays is often the main factor for many.
13.) 29 Dec 2022 03:43:28
Anyone who thinks Gilmour's move to Chelsea was solely motivated by money are extremely delusional.
14.) 29 dec 2022 09:09:23
seriously deluded? bit ott mate
85% of his decision was financial, anyone, like your good self thinks otherwise is, mildly deluded,
he secured his and his family’s financial future, at the stroke of a pen
i’m not seriously deluded about that.
15.) 29 Dec 2022 10:15:29
Gilmour says in a interview he didn’t want tackled of brown and the like. Puts me off him acting scared a that clown.
16.) 29 Dec 2022 13:55:56
Of course it was primarily motivated by money, only one delusional here is you gunn if you think otherwise. As tomthumb said, set himself and family up comfortably.
17.) 29 dec 2022 13:56:55
don’t know why that would put you off , he’s played against the toughest in england since, and i’m sure if he said that he was either tongue in cheek or still a wee boy, no player is scared.

Dear Bears,
When a takeover such as this is happening there will be discussions over share price. As demand for shares rises so does their price so it's only natural some shareholders are negotiating or trying to keep some shares sensing that they will be worth more. If the takeover was to fail the share value prices will go down again and ten shareholders know this. Don't panic there may be a bit of brinksmanship but people would be cutting their own throats if they held out and the deal collapsed.
1.) 17 Apr 2025 17:34:45
Once they reach 30% they are required legally to offer to buy every other share and they need to offer not less than the highest price paid in the last 12 months. so therefore their attempt to buy the Easdales' shares will be just this legal need to offer to buy. same as with Club 1872 and every other shareholder. you may be right though as everyone will want the best price they can get.
2.) 17 Apr 2025 18:13:23
The last 1% is worth more than the first 50% when it comes to closing the deal. But hold out too long and someone else will sell their 1% and your 1% is now worth a lot less to the new majority shareholder.
It's a game of high stakes poker ♦️ ♣️.
29 Aug 2024 21:53:20
Joan Jordan signed for Alaves.
28 Aug 2024 21:28:17
I keep seeing posts saying that the Albanian lads stats are poor. He has scored 20 in Serie A in the last five years. For a team that plays at the bottom of a very defensively competitive league like the Italian one, that return is actually pretty impressive.
19 May 2025 14:06:30
Announce Stevie G!
16 May 2025 08:48:15
Asathor is a great source of info for this page and he and a few others give us some great insights. Head in the clouds was extremely rude and he as a poster is a newbie imo and as such I feel the need to back Asa and say pay no notice.
08 May 2025 15:42:23
Can't turn that down.
01 May 2025 14:32:17
Why would there be a police presence? The police wouldn't deploy unless there was a gathering of people.
27 Apr 2025 11:06:26
Marco Rose? There's a picture of him at the bheggary in a Celtic hat and scarf.
10 May 2025 17:22:07
Lithium, the problem very much is Danilo.
