I was told last night that Kamara will move on before the end of the transfer window and that we are currently negotiating a deal to bring Billy Gilmour back to the club, initially on a loan deal. There continues to be discussion on whether there will be a permanent transfer at the end of the loan spell, and also what the fee will be. It is my understanding that agreement is likely to be reached fairly soon. Chelsea had requested that Gilmour be guaranteed a starting place if he was fit to play, but I am told that this was rejected by Gio!

1.) 02 Aug 2022 11:11:07
Don't know about Kamara moving. As to Gilmour, Gio is correct not to guarantee him starting place in team. Please remember Gilmour left us so I for one do not want him back, loan or otherwise.
No Kent or Soutar tonight but we should be covered OK. 2 nil and look forward to the next round.

2.) 02 Aug 2022 11:26:28
Glad to see this rumour resurface, I think we can make a loan to buy happen

Gilmour for Kamara, is an upgrade in my opinion and someone who can dictate play from that deep lying CDM role.

3.) 02 Aug 2022 11:28:04
Just because he left us you wouldn’t take him back? What about Davis or McGregor? Granted I wouldn’t take him on loan to develop him for Chelsea but if we were to buy him then 100%. Young Scottish talented and bear. He got offered the opportunity of a life time to play with a European giant. He’s played at the top level agaisnt top players and is a Scotland international now. I would take him in a heart beat if the price is right but to say you wouldn’t take him loan or otherwise just because he left us before is silly. If it didn’t work with bassey and we got the chance to take him back for cut price would u say no just because he left?

4.) 02 Aug 2022 11:30:24
Spanish John what do you feel about Mcgregor and Davis same as Gilmour? I would love him back but on loan too buy deal.

5.) 02 Aug 2022 11:57:40
Would absolutely love wee Gilmour back at club but would definitely need to be a loan to buy option.

6.) 02 Aug 2022 11:59:55
Makes sense to me as Gilmour not wanted by Tuchel.

7.) 02 Aug 2022 12:00:02
I might be in the minority but we don't need him. Good player but we have 3 sitting midfielders already.
Best on earth, Jack and Davis.
If Kamara goes we need to replace him with a box to box midfielder whoever that may be.

8.) 02 Aug 2022 12:19:33
McGregor and Davis still signed as pro's gilmour didn't want to play for us as a man. I think he is too light weight and would rather development boys from our academy that want to be rangers players.

9.) 02 Aug 2022 12:24:09
Gilmour is so divisive between the shortsighted fans who believe he left for money (so what if he did) and those who want the best players. He's a top talent and I'd practically cry with joy if we got rid of disinterested Kamara and brought Gilmour in to replace him.

10.) 02 Aug 2022 12:26:29
I really rate Gilmour as a player and think he'd he'd be a significant improvement on what we have.

A future midfield of Sands, Gilmour and Tillman has a nice ring to it.

11.) 02 Aug 2022 12:29:34
If we pay anything for gilmour we are mugs.

12.) 02 Aug 2022 12:30:00
You wanty pay money for someone we let go for penny’s ?.

13.) 02 Aug 2022 12:30:12
Would take Gilmour back in a heartbeat. Was given the chance of a lifetime as a young lad and took it. Fair play to him. He's a great talent and would walk the spl.

14.) 02 Aug 2022 12:30:45
Gilmour is no way an upgrade on Kamara.

He is a very talented player who has lost his way due to poor loans.

If Kamara moves on it will be for a considerable fee and we would go back into the market for a established CAM.

15.) 02 Aug 2022 12:36:12
Don`t see Gilmour as an upgrade on Kamara, an established international and a player who has proven time after time he has the class to play in big games and in Europe. If Kamara wants to go, Gilmour is a decent replacement but he`s certainly not an upgrade.

16.) 02 Aug 2022 12:53:06
Basset a different thing. WE SOLD HIM. (our decision)
To buy Gilmour back. Chelsea will want much more than we could afford.
We should give our own youngsters eg Lowry, McCann a chance first or we run risk of losing them.
Agree Davis and especially McGregor have done a good job for us.
But this is about opinions and mine is if you choose to leave then it's a one way ticket. There are plenty players who would be proud to sign for our great club.

17.) 02 Aug 2022 12:53:48
Kamara is a better player than Gilmour so will not be happy selling kamara to give gilmour a big wage.

18.) 02 Aug 2022 13:00:36
Let’s all bear in mind the man responsible for trying to convince him to stay was Pedro Caixhinha. Rangers a totally different beast now, so don’t blame him for trying his luck down south. Would like Kamara to stay but Gilmour’s progressive passing would give us something we don’t have from deep just now.

19.) 02 Aug 2022 13:05:26
I’m sure Gio will buy/ sell/ loan/ play and not play whoever he sees fit. He won’t be relying on our uneducated opinions.

20.) 02 Aug 2022 13:17:21
Possibly a bit different
But look at pogba for Man Utd - left for free then they bought him back for £100 million and I think did he not again just leave for free back to the club he originally left for free and was bought back form for the £100 million
If that’s not a superb bit of business done by juventus I don’t know what is ????.

21.) 02 Aug 2022 13:20:47
I don’t think we just sold him was it not a cross border fee just like we have done with English players, he didn’t want to sign a pro contract so we had no other option, he had the chance to go down south and play for a top club so who can blame him for having a go, I don’t no if there is any substance in this rumour but I’d take him but I’d trust the recruitment team if they want him.

22.) 02 Aug 2022 13:22:45
Kamara better than Gilmour? Really? If we were to sign Gilmour, he immediately becomes our first choice midfielder. He's better than anyone we already have. He will also be able to tell the likes of Lowry and McCan that moving to England isn't always the best option for youngsters.

23.) 02 Aug 2022 13:30:04
The thing here is guys if chelsea were to sell gilmour it will be a lot more than we sell kamara for ?Kamara without a doubt is a talented midfielder but i believe billy gilmour will be a better midfielder than kamara simple as that for me!

24.) 02 Aug 2022 13:36:51
How is Gilmour and upgrade on kamara What’s Gilmour done like Played great against England? Gilmour has the potential to be better than kamara but he ain’t there yet.

25.) 02 aug 2022 13:37:28
sorry bassey, along with the laughs, do you actually know anything about football mate

it’s a genuine question, the boy left to join european elite, he made a fortune, he might just be available, a fantastic player, no brainier

we also paid peanuts for kamara, do you think we should sell him for peanuts?

if not, why should chelsea not want payment for what is now a fully established international player?

26.) 02 Aug 2022 13:39:45
Spanish John we didn’t sell him as he never signed a pro contract with rangers so at least get it right .

I would rather we played McCann than get Gilmour back on loan and Chelsea will want more cash than we could afford.

27.) 02 Aug 2022 13:58:40
Kamara Will definitely be a better player in the Scottish league gilmour is a holding midfielder that weighs less than Ryan kent he would need to bulk up as the spl is a physical league he is a good player tho just think he’s suited to the English league more.

28.) 02 Aug 2022 14:01:55
Storm, don't think that I said we "SOLD Gilmour". He left.
Let's not split hairs on this.
P. S. I do enjoy the banter and different opinions, keep it up all.

29.) 02 Aug 2022 14:13:44
Coops that’s because one plays in England the other in Scotland y it is rather silly mentioning what they would be sold for and right now kamara is the better player there isn’t even a debate. Gilmour has more potential.

30.) 02 Aug 2022 14:47:02
I believe we only have 2 Rangers home grown players in the European squad instead of the 4, Gilmour would add an extra player to the squad without taking another players spot.
Also he is a fantastic player who is still very young and will improve with regular football in a settled environment.
I very much doubt we can afford him but I think with the experience he’s gained and his quality it would be a win win for all involved to bring him home.

31.) 02 Aug 2022 14:59:21
Gilmour was a boy when he left to go on to a far better club and improve his chances of development. He'd have been mental to sign his 1st pro contract at Rangers under that regime ahead of signing for the Chelsea academy. Anyone who honestly believes otherwise is either deluded or bitter.

Still can't see him signing for us regardless. He is a top player and for that reason i really don't believe he will sign for an SPFL team. His time may be up at Chelsea under Tuchel but there will be a queue of clubs in the EPL wanting to sign him should he be available.

He had a terrible loan move last season to the wrong type of club, plus was hampered with injuries, but he is still a massive talent.

32.) 02 Aug 2022 14:59:31
whether he is better than kamara or not, or plays a role we actually need, not wanting the guy back because he left to test himself at an elite club he grew up following probably on 10x the money, is very harsh.

we weren't regularly showing a pathway for youth players back then, if at all either. if he comes back now with a permanent option it could be really shrewd business.

33.) 02 aug 2022 15:22:25
bearthere is no far better club than rangers

34.) 02 Aug 2022 15:27:46
Kamara and Gilmour play in the exact same role. If we lost Kamara, and replaced him with Gilmour on a 5 year contract, I’d take that.

However, Gilmour isn’t a box-to-box type. This guy Olaru, or the other Yilmaz lad are. We should be picking one of these guys up anyway. We’re crying out for it.

35.) 02 Aug 2022 15:56:21
Listen Stormtrooper that's your opinion and we all have an opinion so stop trying to put other posters down, when you have a go at other posters disrespecting other posters opinions!

36.) 02 Aug 2022 15:58:28
Chelsea never a far better club than the famous glasgow rangers ?No not one and there never shall be one!

37.) 02 Aug 2022 15:58:54
Spanish John think you need to read back your comments mate as you said in block capitals WE SOLD HIM (our decision) . ??.

38.) 02 Aug 2022 16:02:23
Top players don’t struggle to get games for Norwich.

39.) 02 Aug 2022 16:06:25
We didn’t bring Kamara threw our youth system to sell him for buttons then buy him back for a huge fee Tom thumbs use your melon.

40.) 02 Aug 2022 16:20:43
Billy Gilmour will not be back at Rangers in the foreseeable future, I know his uncle and he has repeated on numerous occasions he will stay in England no matter what happens with Chelsea.

If Kamara does go we will go for an attacking midfielder not replace with a similar player to Lundstrum, McCann, Jack and Davis.

41.) 02 aug 2022 17:02:08
il listen to your knowledge mate.

42.) 02 Aug 2022 17:05:43
Storm, don't want to start a war of words with you, but I respectfully ask that you read again.
"Bassey a different thing WE SOLD HIM" (our decision)
Nowhere did I say we sold Gilmour.
Look forward to your reply, (no need to apologize) after all we're on the same side and entitled to our opinion. But as SWS said you don't need to try and put down other posters.
Enjoy the game tonight.

43.) 02 Aug 2022 17:15:57
To be effective Billy Gilmour needs to be in a side that controls the ball, Rangers would be perfect for him and I think he's better than Kamara.

44.) 02 Aug 2022 18:19:59
Gilmour would be a good addition but I suspect that the transfer fee would be beyond what we would be willing to pay. I do fear that he will go to Everton on a permanent move and end up in a Relegation Battle.

As to whether Gilmour is a better player than Kamara, difficult to say given that Kamara has only played in Scotland but he has excelled when playing in Europe both at Club and International Level.

As far as the bigger club scenario, we have the disadvantage of playing in Scotland. If we were playing in the EPL, Chelsea wouldn't come close!

45.) 02 Aug 2022 19:06:04
My info is Olaru is major interest to us

Also mcatee back in frame loan to buy. Around three million.

46.) 02 Aug 2022 19:33:21
Can’t see a loan with option to buy being feasible, I’d imagine Chelsea would be looking for way over £10m for him given the inflated prices paid down there. Wallpapers you’ve never heard of move between middle of the table clubs for £20m.

47.) 02 Aug 2022 19:41:13
John i think Mcatee is going to Sheffield United on a season long loan, you hearing anything about the boy Palmer from city coming to us?

48.) 02 Aug 2022 21:51:40
Mark, Palmer going nowhere.

49.) 03 Aug 2022 01:56:51
Is John not technically right on gilmour did we not receive a development fee?

50.) 03 Aug 2022 12:42:59
Rfcrb short sighted is developing players for other clubs only loans a club our size should be making is to cover serious injury or loan to buy.

51.) 03 aug 2022 13:04:32
spanish, you clearly said we sold bassey, very clearly indeed

anyone expecting lots of movement before next week?

52.) 03 Aug 2022 13:34:02
After last night's display Gilmour would be a welcome addition to our team but I would be delighted if as John says, Olaru is of interest because we need some additional quality in that team. I would also dearly love us to sign a keeper and I am disappointed that we haven't made a move to bring one in. That for me will be our weakest position once the new boys settle down.

53.) 03 Aug 2022 13:41:01
Tom, after that result/ performance last night i think we might bring in a few more players, I'd like a new keeper and mb a new striker, hopefully we can move players out this window as well.

54.) 03 Aug 2022 17:01:57
I expect a strong push to get guys out the door. Roofe, Helander, Katic, Barisic, even Kamara. I’d get rid of them all to raise cash. Then add another couple of quality players to this squad.

55.) 03 Aug 2022 20:14:35
We need a striker. God help us if Alfie gets an injury after he recovers. colak is looking like he's searching for his skants after a stag Doo in Blackpool! I hope he finds them I really Doo ?.

56.) 04 Aug 2022 00:25:31
John you sure info is right on mcatee I can't see city letting h go for 3million that's insane the are selling less promising players for 15million . don't get me wrong I hope your info correct would be a great signing. But just can't see it.

57.) 04 Aug 2022 00:28:00
All reports say mactee on loan to Sheffield John (not perm) I know there are strange goings on at Man city just now but no way they letting one of best youth assets go on cheap.

58.) 04 Aug 2022 09:58:38
Gofor I tend to agree but can only print what I know.

59.) 04 Aug 2022 10:16:44
James McAtee has been labelled the next Phil Foden. We won't be getting him on load with an option to buy at a few million - Man City would never allow that.

15 Jul 2022 16:37:38
First off, I'm not sure if this is serious or not, my source works in the media and is more often right than wrong, but he does admit himself this is way out of left field. He has just sent me a screenshot of a message he has received saying "Mesut Ozil to Rangers? "

He doesn't know if it's a wind up or not - Personally I think it's bunkum, but this is a rumours site!

1.) 15 Jul 2022 16:48:30
No chance and wouldn't want him.

2.) 15 Jul 2022 16:50:31
It’s a wind up, he’s already moved this window and thank god it is. He’s more of a gamer than a player these days.

3.) 15 Jul 2022 16:52:07
It’s wind up he signed for İstanbul Başakşehir yesterday.

4.) 15 Jul 2022 16:56:47
He’s signed for Basakheir.

5.) 15 Jul 2022 17:01:27
Contract ripped up by fenerbache
Which had 2 yrs left to run
Then signs for another Turkish team

6.) 15 Jul 2022 17:04:51
Nope not happening and he is a waste of space.

7.) 15 Jul 2022 17:19:24
He’s already signed for a new team.

8.) 15 jul 2022 17:19:30
he went to beseksehir yesterday mate

steven, you’re wrong about ozil

you should read the ed on how the boy was mistreated and misunderstood by the english press, i would certainly like a guy like him at rangers, a great player too.

9.) 15 Jul 2022 17:24:39
He definitely divides opinion. He had a period for Madrid where he was unreal. I think it was when Mourinho was manager. Some of the passes he made absolutely blew my mind.

10.) 15 Jul 2022 17:25:53
Spot on TT12 ?.

11.) 15 Jul 2022 17:32:26
Looks like he got to ya mate ??.

12.) 15 Jul 2022 17:38:07
TomThumb was he also mistreated and misunderstood in Turkey too? Bombed out of a terrible fenerbache team despite him being a fan of them his attitude was awful.

13.) 15 Jul 2022 17:55:07
He was a waste at arsenal and a waste at his last Turkish club his attitude is stinking.

14.) 15 Jul 2022 18:07:49
He was amazing at arsenal for a few season as well.

15.) 15 Jul 2022 18:08:48
Some a the best assist numbers in the prem history some seasons… a waste at arsenal ?maybe in his last few seasons.

16.) 15 Jul 2022 18:18:31
Wouldn`t take him if there was no fee and no wages, a lazy waste of a jersey . His latest spell in Turkey showed that the lack of effort and interest in his last few years at Arsenal were nothing to do with the club or the English game.

17.) 15 Jul 2022 18:49:55
absolute nonsense he just signed in turkey.

18.) 15 jul 2022 19:00:18
ok, fair enough

ed, apparently you were wrong about ozil,

19.) 15 Jul 2022 19:00:50
I know he's signed for another team, but interesting to note he's got more career assists than xavi, ribery and fabregas. Think he might even have the record for most assists in a premier league season. I'm coming across as a total fanboy here, which I'm definitely not, but very interesting to see the different views on him.

20.) 15 jul 2022 19:00:54
a waste at arsenal, really.

21.) 15 Jul 2022 19:07:33
54 prem assists a waste ?.

22.) 15 jul 2022 19:15:05
true blue, his record is phenomenal, but there’s experts got him down as a donkey,

probably way past his best, but the arsenal thing is why they paid him a fortune, and he was very much world class, , it’s obvious he is on a downward trend, but the total disrespect is very typical, i myself appreciate great footballers.

23.) 15 Jul 2022 19:32:54
No TT just other people are allowed different opinions to you and the Ed but you don’t allow anyone to have a different opinion. And yes the last year or two he was a complete waste.

24.) 15 Jul 2022 21:17:00
Fair play Tom thumb, I read Ed 001s post too and it was passionate and more informed than I am on Ozil.

25.) 15 Jul 2022 21:44:18
Well said Tom. Ozil was a class act and never a waste of space in a million years.

26.) 15 Jul 2022 22:12:12
Showing yourself up again TT just because someone dared to have a different opinion form you and it’s also shameful trying to rope the Ed into your petty games.

27.) 16 jul 2022 13:36:03
explain to me how I've shown myself up, and have you any idea how ridiculous your mouthing off about the ed is, far as i'm aware it isn't a crime to mention him, many do, inccluding you,

30 Jun 2022 15:25:42
I've started hearing whispers in some quarters over the past couple of days that we are looking into the possibility of Aaron Ramsey returning to the club after he has been freed by Juventus. What I am hearing is that the wages won't be an issue as he is receiving a huge payoff from Juve.

1.) 30 jun 2022 16:00:35
you wouldn’t have to know much about the game to scream yes yes yes

fantastic player for nothing will do for me,

2.) 30 Jun 2022 16:07:34
He can't get a club to take him that's why. Free agent on zero wages. Has cost juve a fortune.

3.) 30 Jun 2022 16:12:36
100% Tom. What's not to like? Hope this is a goer.

4.) 30 Jun 2022 16:14:13
Do th douncy. Yes a serious option. However, he is due 16 million in wages they r offering 4 million
If I was him I’d sit tight, juventus will send him on loan.

I’d take him.

5.) 30 Jun 2022 16:36:05
The Seeker what we would have to pay on wages the limit of how much we can spend from 2023-26 will go from 90%-70% he will look for above £50k a week.

6.) 30 Jun 2022 16:44:33
Massive NO from me tom. One of the most injury prone players. Ever. We have enough of them at the club at the minute. Not sure we need anymore. 2 ok games v dundee doesn't merit us taking him again.

7.) 30 Jun 2022 16:51:53
He was a big letdown Last season can’t see who it would change this season. Also he wouldn’t want injured in run up to World Cup would he give 100% when fit ?.

8.) 30 Jun 2022 16:53:50
I’d take him and will be extremely motivated to shine in run up to the World Cup.

9.) 30 Jun 2022 16:56:02
I agree with John, there is no logic to him accepting a payoff of £4m given what he is due. Definitely one for Ramsay to play hardball.
The major issue will be the tax bill that he faces unless he can structure his pay off so that Juventus pick up the tax liability.

10.) 30 Jun 2022 16:58:57
I would take him on loan or free.

11.) 30 Jun 2022 17:05:07
I would have him back as well if it was an option. Who knows but at least he would be much fitter and faster than he was when he came last season.

12.) 30 Jun 2022 17:30:04
Not a chance is Ramsey coming back after the miss in the final imo .

13.) 30 Jun 2022 17:32:42
I would have him back on a play n pay contract

Injury prone = he has had a few
Good player = yes showed it with wales too few weeks ago

Rangers = 50/ 50 as i think he will end up at lafc with bale.

14.) 30 Jun 2022 17:35:52
Rename the us to “injury prone Central”. Last thing we need is another full treatment table .

Yes a 29 yrs old Ramsey all day, not now he's done .

15.) 30 jun 2022 17:49:35
done, but a racing certainty to be going to the world cup.

16.) 30 Jun 2022 17:52:06
Just because he missed a Pen he’s not to come back? He arrived injured and needs a decent pre season and managed properly but what an asset he could be to us… Lowry already said how much he learned from Ramsey in the short time….

17.) 30 Jun 2022 17:55:16
You could have this lot out injured as the same time lol
Maybe Ramsey .

Can’t see it us bring him back .
I’m bei g really negative with Ramsey, only due to his injury history, if he was fully fit would we actually have a chance in signing him . Think not .

18.) 30 Jun 2022 18:02:26
Yes because he missed the penalty the other half of the city would rip him apart .

19.) 30 Jun 2022 18:16:41
Only pay him 10/ 15k a game, if he is not happy with that don't go for him.

20.) 30 Jun 2022 18:19:40
Gvb so if u miss a penalty u don’t get back, who actually cares what other side say.

21.) 30 Jun 2022 18:21:29
Gvb u could have kent Goldson tav Morelos lundstrum injured who knows.

22.) 30 Jun 2022 18:24:59
Take him back happily if we could.

23.) 30 Jun 2022 18:45:43
John - yes u could, but they don't have same history as the others mentioned .

If Ramsey comes I will support him but I don't think he will .
More money down south or over the pond .

24.) 30 Jun 2022 18:46:06
People say yes take him but based on his arsenal or Wales performances he did nowhere near enough to warrant a contract he'll spend most of his time on treatment table. No thanks time to move away from signing injury pro e players.

25.) 30 Jun 2022 19:05:02
I’d take Ramsay back in a heartbeat I think he has unfinished business in a rangers jersey.

26.) 30 Jun 2022 19:14:13
A remember watching a game one Ramsey was going out to the right side on the wing he was absolutely class that game I would take him.

27.) 30 Jun 2022 19:16:36
Not for me too injury prone and never done much.
Throw in the penalty and I’m sorry but it’s a no.

28.) 30 Jun 2022 19:22:26
INTR a that’s the problem with Ramsey he always shows up for wales rangers would need to change the away too to wales top and he may turn up for us.

29.) 30 Jun 2022 19:23:45
John you could have those players injured but we don’t need another injury prone player in our squad and he is injury prone 100%.

30.) 30 Jun 2022 19:32:41
Fantastic player and as one of the guys said, he has unfinished business with us. Love to see him back in the famous blue. Also a brilliant role model for the youngsters as evidenced already by young Lowry. As I've said, what's not to like?

31.) 30 Jun 2022 21:09:27
cannot believe there’s rangers fans that Wouldn’t want Aaron Ramsey in the books. mind blowing. I’d have him at rangers all day long.

32.) 30 Jun 2022 21:21:55
Would take him in a heartbeat seen the quality he has in spells last season and a great role model for the younger players coming through.

33.) 30 Jun 2022 21:24:34
As I have said above, I don't see him leaving Juventus unless they substantially increase his Payoff however if he was to return then I reckon he would be worth the risk for a number of reasons. He will want to stay fit for the World Cup and a fully fit Ramsay would be better than any of our current midfield players.
He would also be the perfect role model for our young up and coming attacking midfield players and young lads such as Lowry would learn considerably from him. We have some top quality young players coming through from the B Team, (just look at the quality of youngster that we have just signed, but they are a couple of years away from the first team. Ramsay could be the perfect option for then next couple of seasons if the weekly wage was right!

34.) 30 Jun 2022 21:40:36
I bet that he is not injured before December and the W. Cup.
It’s a 10 from Scambled Egg.

35.) 01 Jul 2022 01:23:24
If missing penalties is the bar then young Saka shouldn't play for England again, absolute nonsense.

36.) 01 Jul 2022 02:35:29
Gvb, it would be the same with outher injured players, what makes you think our back four plus alf won't get injured pre season? its a gamble worth taking in my opinion, but any player can pick up an injury at anytime.

37.) 01 Jul 2022 06:31:47
Does no one remember Ramsey scoring a great goal against the other mob? Everyone seems obsessed with the penalty miss, i also would have him back in a minute ????.

38.) 01 Jul 2022 09:40:22
100% gregory.

39.) 01 Jul 2022 09:46:20
Why does anyone want him back? The penalty moss apart it’s prob just sour grapes right.
He hardly kicked a ball he was pointless.

40.) 01 Jul 2022 11:09:03
People saying they wouldn't take him back because he missed a penalty. Morelos, Roofe and Tav have all missed penalties for Rangers (plus many more have) yet they are still lauded as heroes! Let me offer a twist on Ramsey and 'that' penalty - at least he had the balls to say he was ready and willing to take one.

The story about him coming back seems to be growing, I'd be happy to see him back in royal blue.

08 Oct 2021 18:51:54
Okay, I know this sounds bonkers but I have heard today that Gerrard wanted to make a move for Ryan Christie when he was leaving Celtic but was priced out if it. He still likes Christie as a player and us ready to move for him in the summer. Christie is thought to have a release clause if Bournemouth are not promoted.

1.) 08 Oct 2021 21:44:42
He's not someone I'd fancy in a Rangers Jersey bouncy. 🙈🙈.

2.) 08 Oct 2021 21:41:57
Why not Christie is a good player.

3.) 09 Oct 2021 00:23:25
Don't rate him that much. Also downed tools last year so why want a player like that.

4.) 09 Oct 2021 07:19:58
Nope from me.

5.) 09 Oct 2021 08:10:05
A big no from me as well.

6.) 09 Oct 2021 10:06:56
Cost a fortune in lost balls as well.

7.) 09 Oct 2021 12:00:38
We don't need any more "FFS players"!

8.) 09 Oct 2021 12:05:40
Yip, that's bonkers mate.

9.) 09 Oct 2021 15:24:05
Ryan Christie wouldn’t sign for us and I wouldn’t want him anyway!

10.) 09 Oct 2021 21:05:42
Sand wedge left foot. Honking.

11.) 10 Oct 2021 18:09:38
Christie a good Scottish player, but we would not be able to afford him.

12.) 11 Oct 2021 08:23:32
He’s from a staunch Celtic family and absolutely would not sign for Rangers!

13.) 11 Oct 2021 12:41:11
Can we please remember Rangers fans are staunch, the manky mob’s fans are described as “bitter”, so should be “His family are bitter Celtic supporters”. 😬.

14.) 15 Oct 2021 01:04:08
He went for little monet so hardly prices out of it absolute made up nonsense this isn't a rumour it's just a lie.

15.) 17 Oct 2021 22:41:07
Aye Stiv, you're right. He went for £2.5million and is playing for free so you'll be spot on there!

30 Sep 2021 14:16:15
Hearing rumours that Scott Brown has quit Aberdeen. Anyone heard this?

1.) 30 Sep 2021 14:30:56
Got a message saying Aberdeen ripped up his contract to let him go back to celtic, i don't believe it right enough but it would be hilarious.

2.) 30 Sep 2021 14:40:56
Would not be able to play till January window opens.

3.) 30 Sep 2021 14:41:19
Dont think that's true. Seen it on fb this morning but think its made up. Would be funny tho. he's well passed it now. Would be good for rangers if he did go back there and try play a bit.

4.) 30 Sep 2021 15:46:48
There's a parody Twitter account ( I think it's called GoalsUK ) who tweeted it last night.
Something along the lines of " Brown has asked Aberdeen to rip up his contract so that he can rejoin another mid table club - Celtic"🤭😂🤭
Think it's grown arms and legs since then.

5.) 30 Sep 2021 17:17:43
It was a joke 😬 I got sent it.

Just watched the highlights of the Spurs game on You Tube. It's difficult to make any judgement on it, mainly because it was from Spurs TV s only really showed our goal and every chance that Spurs had. Our goal was well taken but was a tad fortunate to fall to Colak after Tav's attempted backheel. Spurs first goal was a thing of beauty and Kane at his very best. The second was though was bad goalkeeping in my view, but Kane has scored many goals like that all through his career! All in all I'm not too downhearted in the outcome, Spurs will play better than that in the league and lose games. We will improve when the team starts to gel better.

1.) 25 jul 2022 15:34:10
both played great football, it means nothing but we got a great amount from the game, players played against top quality and had a great time without the pressure
all in all a fantastic exercise imo.

27 May 2021 10:40:27
Heard a few times now that we are being linked to Fernando Torres who is seemingly making a comeback and announcing it on Friday. Personally I'm not sure if this is a goer, but if it is and he is the Torres from his Liverpool days, he would be some signing. If however, it's the Chelsea Torres, then not so much!

1.) 27 May 2021 11:00:33
No thanks. We already have 1 old striker that barely gets a game.

2.) 27 May 2021 11:20:20
That boat has sailed a long time ago.

3.) 27 May 2021 12:28:57
Let him go to Celtic 🤣🤣.

4.) 27 May 2021 20:34:54
Nope this would be a disaster.

15 Apr 2021 11:32:08
There are reports this morning linking Helander with Aston Villa and Leicester.

1.) 15 Apr 2021 12:06:33
Helander has been a top performer for us. I can see him moving on👍.

2.) 15 Apr 2021 13:16:08
I would be quite happy to sell Helander if we made a decent profit on him. What would you consider a good offer for him? Say we get offered 8 million would that be enough?

3.) 15 Apr 2021 13:45:57
10 mill minimum for helander. We have never lost a league game he has played in. Decent stat. Big man is solid.

4.) 15 Apr 2021 13:46:03
I thought the 8mil mark aswell 3cheers. 👍.

5.) 15 Apr 2021 13:48:25
I would rather get rid of Katic and Edmundson and offer Helander a pay rise. 👍.

6.) 15 Apr 2021 13:51:25
Considering we spent around £3m on him, he is a full Swedish international and will play at this years euro's i'd be looking for something in and around £10m.

In todays market i think most would agree that is fair all round and i think the player will have desire to play in the premier league.

7.) 15 Apr 2021 14:11:10
Totally agree MrPH. Why get rid off best ch unless for sill money, ie 15 million.

8.) 15 Apr 2021 14:39:08
10 million and sell as we can replace him.

9.) 15 Apr 2021 14:40:54
Personally, I would prefer to see him staying at the club, but as I have said before any and every player could be sold if the correct bid comes in for him. I would say 8-10 million sounds about right for Helander.

10.) 15 Apr 2021 15:32:15
Kja91 Replace him with who exactly. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

11.) 15 Apr 2021 16:41:34
FC1962 that’s SG and ROss Wilson job thanks very much.

Also the boy we signed in jan could replace him.

Is that a good enough answer for you 🙈.

12.) 15 Apr 2021 19:24:43
Massively under selling the big man here tims wanting 15mill for ajer. Goldson and helander are our best cemtre halfs by quite a bit followed by balogun. The rest have a long way to go.

13.) 16 Apr 2021 02:16:07
Kja91 Why make a statement saying we can replace him Then come away with that’ SG and RW job When I would have thought you had a replacement in mind. So NAW you’re answer isn’t good enough. 🤪. 🇦🇺🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿⚽️🇬🇧👍.

08 Apr 2021 09:32:30
This could be hilarious if true, I am now hearing that Celtic have walked away from any deal with Eddie Howe and are now trying to entice the former Dortmund manager Lucien Favre. My understanding is that Howe was throwing obstacles in at every chance he could and Celtic have grown weary of it.

{Ed002's Note - Favre is a really great coach. So I am not sure why you find it funny.}

1.) 08 Apr 2021 09:40:11
Family factors and not much of a transfer budget I've heard. Howe feels he needs about 40 or 50 million to rebuild a shocking squad players. Celtic's finances ain't as great as the eastenders make you believe.

2.) 08 Apr 2021 09:46:03
I'd rather they got Howe than Favre, but whoever gets it has got one helluva job on their hands. Happy days.

3.) 08 Apr 2021 09:50:05
I would much rather have Howe as their manager than Favre.
I think DTB finds the whole Howe situation funny rather than Farve becoming their manager. It's been widely reported in the media up here that Howe has agreed to the job, but according to Howe's agent, nothing has been agreed and any deal is a long way off. Also, some has-been singer (celtic fan) was spouting that he has seen Howe house hunting in Glasgow, but that was also rubbish.

4.) 08 Apr 2021 10:05:58
Farve is fantasy aswell.

5.) 08 Apr 2021 10:17:42
Favre won't come near a backwater in European football like Scotland, there is more chance of me becoming their manager than Favre. What I find hilarious is that they have basically made it clear that Howe was coming to the post, where in reality they have never spoken with him to discuss minutiae, all that was done was ask him if he would be interested. He is holding out for the Crystal Palace job that will become vacant in the summer. Kennedy will end up with the job.

6.) 08 Apr 2021 10:56:30
Celtic have been doing this for decades. In every single transfer window. There is a leak to the press that they are going for this superstar. Make contact, then offer a crappy deal. Then say to their guilable fans. Yes but we tried to sign this one and that one but they wanted to much cash.

7.) 08 Apr 2021 11:49:51
As if to prove my point, Favre is poised take a £6m a year offer to take on a Saudi Arabian club.

8.) 08 Apr 2021 11:58:16
Confirmed on SSN this morning Howe isn't happening. Shame, pretty mediocre manager, just a big name.

9.) 08 Apr 2021 12:06:18
Obviously the Saudi Arabian league is a mouthwatering prospect for players and managers. Such a competitive and exciting league with 6 million reasons to work in such an environment. 🐪🐫💰💰💰.

10.) 08 Apr 2021 13:06:52
You saying you wouldn't go there for £6m a year then 3 cheers?

11.) 08 Apr 2021 13:40:01
Once the stadiums are full again, we get independent officials and everybody leaves them alone, they'll stop us in our tracks. What? I'm serious, it's a given.

12.) 08 Apr 2021 15:11:31
If someone offered me a job for 6 million a year in Saudi then I would get there tonight looking forward to the first day in my new job.

06 Apr 2021 13:33:08
The Sun is reporting today that we are keen to sign Manchester United midfielder James Garner who is currently on loan at Nottingham Forest. It goes on to say that clubs in England are chasing him as well, so it may be the usual tactic of using us to get the teams south of the border to bid for him.

@VA - that's the way to show support to a new player, make your opinion after two games! Two games where he has had no support, nobody playing to help him play to his strengths. Nothing. But you're losing confidence in him? Take a look at yourself!

Kamara better than Gilmour? Really? If we were to sign Gilmour, he immediately becomes our first choice midfielder. He's better than anyone we already have. He will also be able to tell the likes of Lowry and McCan that moving to England isn't always the best option for youngsters.

Strange comment Bar72, no one won the header that led to the Livi goal, otherwise it wouldn't have led to the Livi goal!

There is no way Yilmaz has been brought here to be back up to anyone, when Barisic moves on I can see us signing a replacement but it won't be a big name I reckon.

I am truly getting fed up with the way our club is dealing with this kind of thing. Yes, I understand that we are within our rights to reject the sponsors as it conflicts with an existing deal, but there is plenty of room in the market for both companies! I feel we are scoring a major own goal with this. If, as I suspect, we are the only Premier League club not to be represented it makes us look petty.

EHL2020 Can I suggest that you read the rule book and see that it was in fact a terrible decision. A penalty should never have been awarded for that, and the booking was ludicrous.

He said that Colak was wasting his time last night because he got no service. Honestly, try giving the team the support they deserve instead of making posts like this!

Why is everyone so quick to compare Colak to Morelos? Just because they are both forward players doesn't make them the same type! Colak needs to have support and good service. We need to play better and work harder as a team. Blaming one individual (not that the OP is doing that per se) is totally counter intuitive.

Tell you what, some memories are being blocked out to try to prove a point! "McGregor a much better shot stopper and would have him number 1 all day long until his mistakes costs us more points than he earns, which so far isn't now. " - McGregor made mistakes in several games last season which cost us two points at a time, turning wins into draws. Ultimately that cost us the league title. McGregor has been a class goalkeeper and has undoubtedly saved us more times than he has let us down, but please don't try to paper over the cracks. Time has caught up with him.
