Been told that big phil is looking to bring in a player he has worked with previously that has a strong personality to try and consistency to dig in the team as he thinks to many of our players shrink when the going gets to tough.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 19 apr 2024 20:59:36
like our captain and vice captain.

2.) 20 Apr 2024 09:37:28
Wonder if Diatta from Monaco will be one we go for, left Brugge to sign for them, so Clememt has possibly had him at 2 clubs, only a year left on his contract, hasn't been a 1st team starter and is a Right winger.

3.) 20 Apr 2024 10:28:15
Mignolet. Jack sold to the prem and mignolet to come in. Just a guess.

02 May 2023 21:45:52
Its being said that Mulholland will leave in the summer as there going to be changes does this indicate that some directors weren't happy woth the set up under Wilson and Robertson.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 02 May 2023 23:28:42
Mulholland has been job hunting since Gio arrived

There was thoughts he may end up in US, now a few think Forest.

2.) 03 May 2023 03:03:24
I don't see him as a big loss. We're seeing very little money made still from the academy. Outwith Bassey.

3.) 03 May 2023 07:06:01
Rabbi absolute nonsense go look how far in front of every club in Scotland we r.

4.) 03 May 2023 07:27:10
John what do you mean by far in front of every other team in Scotland? In terms of what As we aren’t seeing any players coming thru really.

5.) 03 May 2023 08:10:54
Storm that's not on the academy that's on our management team. We definitely have had players come through that have been good enough but just not given a chance. Young Lowry is a perfect example. Massive talent but nowhere to be seen. I know he has had injuries but the first should never have happened as he shouldn't be playing with B team.

6.) 03 May 2023 08:20:33
Mulholland was probably the most impressive person at the club when interviewed. Whether this translated to successful activities, I don’t know.

7.) 03 May 2023 09:07:25
Storm the thread is about Academy sales and income.

8.) 03 May 2023 09:17:32
Was reading our academy made us about 15m in the last 3 years.

9.) 03 May 2023 10:43:19
My view is that we will miss Mulholland and I fear that others that have an excellent track record with the club will follow. I hope that he doesn't go to Nottingham Forest since I believe that he can do a lot better but I suspect that he will.
I wish him well.

10.) 03 May 2023 12:16:28
Mullholland had a good 20 years at rangers, sometimes a fresh impetus does not go amiss.

11.) 03 May 2023 13:06:03
He deserves nothing but thanks and respect for the time he has been with our club, I have had many a chat with him and i can’t for life of me understand the negativity towards him, everything was about the kids, however, I think it’s prefect timing for us and him and fresh approach and views within academy as part of a massive personnel shake up. This summer for me is make or break and recruitment on and off the park has to bang on or we are looking at them hitting 56 before us.

12.) 03 May 2023 13:07:56
Thing is the academy is set up now to be a money earner. In the past probably not. Like the idea of Arfield and Davis.

13.) 03 May 2023 13:19:48
Why so many folk offski

I really hope we ain't moving backwards i wish him well,

14.) 03 May 2023 13:27:14
The academy is miles better than it was, you can see from the outside how good the set up is and how the boys get a chance to play different types of football. There just seems to be a gap between the academy and progression to first team level . That is a problem in Scotland with no decent intermediate level like the old reserve leagues, its not just at Rangers that need to find a way to bridge that gap. As for not making any money, does Patterson, not count?

15.) 03 May 2023 18:02:52
Rabbi Bassey never played at academy level or b team for rangers.

16.) 03 May 2023 18:19:19
Think there is a massive rebuild incoming at our club. Hear another is on the way out dickson possibly. Our youth set up is one of the best in the UK and mullholland was key to that change. My information is that Thomson is returning to the club which I think would be great for our club. Thomson is a great coach and knows our club.

17.) 03 May 2023 18:34:16
How can it only have made us 15 million in the last 3 years. We got or will get 16 million for Patterson alone.

18.) 03 May 2023 20:20:17
We maybe a head on that front but bringing youngsters thru we are not a head of the rest of Scotland infact I would say Celtic and rangers are the worst in Scotland at that. To me that’s what matters most bringing players thru.

19.) 03 May 2023 20:21:15
The thread was about mulholland leaving nothing to do with sales mate.

22 Jul 2018 22:23:38
Is it just me or does anyone else think looking at the Loan signings we are making that Stevie G is underestimating the standard of The SPFL like warbs and Pedro we haven't had a consistent loan player since Steve Davis (different level) loan spell

Not being negative just looking back at the facts ie Newcastle boys oduwa Hyndman and Goss.

Really hope I'm wrong.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 23 Jul 2018 01:46:27
You haven’t seen any of the loans play yet apart from Ejaria? Neither have any of us so we can’t possinly answer that question regarding solely loan players.

However, All I can tell you is that so far, the 3 games we have seen, Gerrards signings such as McGregor, Goldson, Katic, Flanagan, Arfield and the boy I’ve just mentioned, they have been our best performers.

So answering your question based on that, then no.

2.) 23 Jul 2018 02:56:38
Spot on. Prepare for incoming.

3.) 22 Jul 2018 23:53:45
Hyndman was a cracking player for us!

4.) 23 Jul 2018 07:45:19
How about you wait until December until they’ve all had 12+ games before judging whether they are the correct standard or not.

5.) 23 Jul 2018 12:57:37
coulibaly and sadiq have played first team games at a high level in france, Italy and Holland so they shouldn't be too much of a risk. i think coulibaly could be a star player for us this year.

6.) 23 Jul 2018 13:24:22
Coulibaly and Sadiq could probably do alright in the English Premiership, so I think they'll be fine in the SPFL, provided their attitude is good. Jury is out on Kent as we haven't seen him play in a Rangers jersey yet. Ejaria looks decent and definitely a step up from Holt or Forrester etc. I don't think SG has underestimated the League at all.

7.) 23 Jul 2018 18:09:50
im hoping your right don't get me wrong. would love big sadiq to be on fire but from footage available he looks nothing special. i hope i'm wrong.

8.) 24 Jul 2018 00:54:34
Fact is we need loan signings to see us through the year as we cannot afford to buy/ bring in talent like Ejaria, Kent, Coulibaly etc on permanents alongside the permanents we have made, in a perfect world we could but when we’re basically rebuilding from start again (& we are 10 new faces in the door tells us that) in a league like this we can’t afford it! had we had an established team we could add 3/ 4 players on permanents per season but were not in that position! The idea is the loanees are quality enough, will see us through and hopefully the rest of the team this time next year will be established and successful enough that hopefully we can add to that with a few quality permanents and move forward.

10 Jul 2018 18:13:13
Sadiq confirmed by Rangers

Odd to me why they didn't do both at the same time.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 10 Jul 2018 20:30:28
I'd guess each deal has different parts that all need to be finalised legally and will get announced as soon as they were done, neither are in squad for thursday, both seem good quality, young and eager

2.) 10 Jul 2018 22:13:21
Umar Sadiq comes across as a young player looking to develop work hard and deliver success at Ibrox

3.) 11 Jul 2018 09:32:51
Who cares? What’s diff does it make?

4.) 11 Jul 2018 10:13:48
I understand from the mediathey both could be added to the Europa League squad as late"wild card "additions but may well not be as they haven't even trained with the rest of the team yet.

17 Jun 2018 08:26:39
Just seen we are being linked with Joel Campbell

Don't see it happening myself.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 17 Jun 2018 09:37:36
the article I read didn't say we are linked. it was just someone saying we should go for him.

2.) 17 Jun 2018 13:57:45
Joel Campbell is dreadful better off with Naomi Campbell

3.) 17 Jun 2018 15:04:52
I was watching the costa Rica game there and he has a bit of ability. He was never arsenal quality but he was better than most people gave him credit for. Technically he was ahead of Walcott and welbeck but he never got a chance so I'm guessing his attitude isn't up to scratch. He's struggled on loan but there is a decent player in there

4.) 17 Jun 2018 15:07:37
Naomi can come and stay with me if we sign her. Wife will be sound with it.

5.) 17 Jun 2018 18:18:34
Never believe anything you read on HITC

Sakala posted a heart felt message on his social media.

Great post showing great love and respect to Rangers. didn't expect anything less from him tho he's a gem of a guy.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 07 Aug 2023 23:00:32
Gutted to see him go.

13 Jul 2023 05:39:22
Cifuentes with an assist and a goal last night for LAFC.

I am not overly sold on him but hopefully if we are signing him that's a sign of things to come.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 13 Jul 2023 08:51:47
Looks good enough player but will reserve judgement on him until he plays here, standard of keeping and defending is still poor in mls. Squad player for me on first impressions but hopefully I’m pleasantly surprised and he’s a top grafter baller.

2.) 13 Jul 2023 10:55:14
coully he ain't getting signed as a squad player, you will be pleasantly surprised, mls is definitely a level up from our league.

05 May 2023 16:55:44
Beale saying that Morelos and Kent havnt been offered new deals.

Question is this because the club feel they can't afford their demands or they feel they just aren't worth offering deals due to their bad performances.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 05 May 2023 18:07:36
Well they certainly not deserving of us breaking our wage structure.

They are probably already there or thereabouts.

No point in resigning someone on the off chance we can sell them fast.

2.) 05 May 2023 18:53:48
Probably both.

3.) 05 May 2023 19:12:27
Probably spoke to their agents and been told they don’t want to sign new deals or been told what they want and decided it’s not for us. Either way it doesn’t matter but I’d suspect it would be that they’ve informed rangers they wish to move on given they have both downed tools this season.

4.) 05 May 2023 19:25:53
It's because both of them aren't worth even half of what they earn. Frustratedbear would you offer them new deals? A think anyone way a bit of sense can see they don't want to be here. Honestly can't believe people on here just 2 weeks ago were happy to give morelos a new contract. He simply doesn't want to be here how people couldn't see through that I will never know.

5.) 05 May 2023 23:57:39
Only way they could stay is if they take 50% wage cut. Even that is pushing it in what they give back to the team.

New image uploaded to the
Rangers Player Sightings page entitled, They stats show the players were at fault not the manager.

Click picture for larger image

Frustratedbear1

1.) 06 Nov 2022 17:03:23
How?

These stats show that Gio hasn't got a plan for how to break teams down. Its all throw it in the box and hope. Moreover, his decision to go 3 at the back with tav, king and barisic caused a goal (should have been 2) almost instantly. At no point under his tenure have we looked like a team that has an attacking plan domestically.

21 Jul 2018 20:25:32
Early days I know but The fact we are now signing a fourth young player on loan doesn't do it for me we haven't had a loan signing that has managed to do well consistently since Steven Davis (different class) to me we are now starting see that there is a lack of money and ambition if there is money then surely there is better players out there to sign than young loan players.

Not happy that I think this but for me this squad will not qualify for the group stage of the EL.

I really hope I'm wrong.

Frustratedbear1

1.) 21 Jul 2018 21:00:59
Well said FB1.

2.) 21 Jul 2018 21:01:55
We are signing Juniors mate need men om the ball.

3.) 21 Jul 2018 21:12:23
We’ve spent a decent amount already and are currently bidding a reported £3 mil on Cooper not to mention the wages for Arfield and Flanagan which won’t be peanuts I think the board have backed SG pretty well so far.

Sadiq, Ejaria and Coulibaly aren’t exactly juniors look at the size of them they are big physical players.

4.) 21 Jul 2018 21:20:29
It's pretty obvious that there's a shortage of money available to get the right players in, the whole fiasco with strip sales will only hurt that some more if not sorted out promptly! But we have to live within our means this time around and if that means going down the route of loaning in players then so be it! With most of them coming from top teams, Liverpool and Roma, then you have to think to be at these clubs then they are somewhat talented footballers, and only time will tell if they can make it in the SPFL and more importantly under the pressure that comes playing infront of a full house at Ibrox!

5.) 21 Jul 2018 21:24:34
I will be surprised if we reach the group stage. too big too soon. hope i'm wrong.

6.) 21 Jul 2018 21:40:56
To be honest gerrard wouldn't be getting these young loans in if they wernt any good he obviously sees them as better than we've got i say let them loose out in croatia nab an away goal happy days.

7.) 21 Jul 2018 22:11:51
Group stages will be a stretch and all fans should be realistic- every round gives the manager a bigger budget. I for one hope we get to four round. This would be a step forward, new team / manager . persons on here think we should be walking straight into group stages . Our manager is doing his best with limited funds and having to remove dead wood - give him time and support the team.

8.) 21 Jul 2018 23:19:20
Some teams make a loss in the qualifying rounds after paying travel and accommodation so I wouldn't say we are quids in with them. There's more money to be made in the champions league group stage than winning the Europa league.

9.) 22 Jul 2018 08:06:55
We won't qualify for the group stage, this mob are far better than the last lot we played and we struggled with them. I would love to be wrong but I just don't see it and in all honesty I am only interested in domestic success. Unless you get through to the group stage and beyond it's pointless because it's just extra games extra injuries and extra pressure. I like my bread And butter.

10.) 22 Jul 2018 08:34:45
Marco c rangers not making loss, 50k, sellout, to money, 250k for getting through, catering, corporate a million a game for us.

11.) 22 Jul 2018 13:54:53
Marco c - lose money 🤔 50k full House - tv and corporate at least 1m per round. Every round a bonus and as I said helps the manager. Still feel if we sell a couple “windass and Wes” we will have the opportunity to bring in a couple more . All need to relax team will have a better balance when we sign third Centre half and able to play 3-5-2 - which will free up tav and John on the flanks.

Carrick if it is Clement he's going to need atleast one transfer window to get his style implemented on the team as he likes to play with wingers and we do not have any.
