Reece oxford from West Ham on loan if we make the group stage, heard it here first.

GraemeH89

1.) 22 Aug 2018 05:31:27
already signed by another team so don't think so.

2.) 22 Aug 2018 07:55:07
West Ham are looking to send him out on loan.

3.) 22 Aug 2018 09:20:09
Not going to happen.

20 Aug 2018 22:37:09
Watched the Ufa game online tonight and I’m now confident we will make the groupstage, They may have Made some changes to there side with Thursday night in mind, but they were outplayed at times against an average looking Dinamo Moscow. they also have the journey back from Moscow And Then to Scotland with a days less rest Than Us from Sunday. They played a back 5 and two strikers but big Katic and goldson should be comfortable enough.

GraemeH89

1.) 21 Aug 2018 05:46:26
GraemeH never seen them play and all honesty never heard of them until this draw but I think Osijek were one of the hardest teams in the qualifying round (much better than Maribor) and after seeing us beat them we shouldn’t fear anybody in these qualifiers.

2.) 21 Aug 2018 08:54:33
Don't be fouled by FC Ufa I feel these guys are already trying to play mind games

There was never a doubt that the Visa was going to be done in time

Those two matches will be the making of Rangers season

As they say, better to be in all competitions than none

Steven Gerrards season has gone exceedingly well so far but there is a long way to go

If we get to the group stages then you have to say the early signs are there as Mr Gerrard doing decent job

There is also the domestic side, we will get an idea how good we are by seeing how the result pans out against Celtic

We will only be able to start to gauge how we are doing in the come after the New Year

Still needing a couple of players yet Preferably another centre back and striker please

I wouldn't mind some kind of creative midfielder as feel we don't have one at all

C'mon the Gers!

3.) 21 Aug 2018 09:35:34
Totally agree with Kaz on all points made need to keep momentum going get new singnings in won’t need to wait till new year l believe we’ve got them flapping already.

4.) 21 Aug 2018 10:27:19
I would say that Gerrard is doing more than a 'decent' job. The difference in our team is night and day to the last few years.

5.) 21 Aug 2018 10:27:55
I would probably say we need another winger now Murphy is out, especially if we make the group stages of the Europa league. Maybe a loan or something.

6.) 21 Aug 2018 11:02:09
Young Middleton could step up to the plate.

7.) 21 Aug 2018 11:53:23
Gerrard has done wonders with us, before going into the Osijek and Maribor games on seasons gone by they would have walked over us, the transition from then to now is just remarkable.

8.) 21 Aug 2018 11:54:03
Don't be fooled by UFA, they are a very tidy outfit with a big bank book. This will be a tough one.
Could have done without it just b4 a game against them.
But if we're playing at this level already, it kinda goes withe territory onward and upward.

9.) 21 Aug 2018 15:17:54
They’re staying in Moscow and flying from there so they don’t have a long journey nack.

10.) 21 Aug 2018 21:25:50
They had two or three of their top players resting for that
Game. they want this possibly more than us
As I see it uts win win fir us . We don’t go thru and the manky do they play catch up every Sunday. we do go thru we are flying.

Pedro's record in 'big' games so far .
Aberdeen away 3-0 win ( good start )
Celtic away (cup) beat 2-0 .
Celtic home beat 5-1
Aberdeen home, beat 2-1 (first defeat in over 20 years at home to the sheep )

New season new players
First games back in Europe, knocked out over two legs v progres, neiderkorn.
First home game of season v hibs lost 3-2
2nd home game of the season drew 0-0 hearts.
Game on Friday night with chance to go top of the table, 2-2 draw away to thistle a team who havnt won in 11 games.

In his time at the club since march we haven't won 3 games in a row nor have we won two competitive games at ibrox on the bounce.

The stats are there to see for anyone who bothers to look rather than looking through blue goggles. He's not the right man long term and we made a big mistake not getting McInnes in when we had the chance. Those who think we will beat Celtic next week are either clueless or completely in denial. We will be a mile behind them come January and we will do well to finish second. And this isn't Pedro bashing or just plain negativity it's based on stats and watching the team every week.

GraemeH89

1.) 18 Sep 2017 12:56:34
Some would say that's just being negative.

2.) 18 Sep 2017 13:59:20
Simple Q. What has McInnes won to earn him the right, to the job? Drop the negativity n back the gaffer n players. Sick of hearing people slate him. Get a grip. The mankies just had their worst ever defeat, at home in Europe. Should they sack BR? No. Get a grip

3.) 18 Sep 2017 14:40:42
Looking at that it's hard to make an argument for him staying.

4.) 18 Sep 2017 19:06:01
last year he used the games to find out who can play his system to who cant. the duds were offloaded. the worst thing that happened was murty draw and breadman cūp final win. made us look better than we r. fact is on both those games they were worst i have seen celtic play. mcinnes isn't the man. show us why he got second in the leagues because he had second biggest budget. how many times did he have chance to beat celtic when they were really pish and still couldnt. let the team and manager settle. another transfer to improve again and we will get there. lucky ti finish second? does that mean with mcinnes u think we could win it, your wearing your mcinnes goggles mate

5.) 18 Sep 2017 19:44:20
Kri55, mcinnes has aberdeen well drilled and got them to a few cup finals. There's only so much backing you can give players and managers. what's your threshold? Another 5mil wasted on two useless mexicans? Another season fighting for 3rd? I don't want pedro or the players to fail but even you have to admit they aren't covering themselves in glory. There was plenty of "fans" on here last year wetting themselves for warburton to get backing from us while the rest of us saw right through him. We all know how that worked out. Learn from mistakes and all that👍

6.) 19 Sep 2017 10:25:58
STOP LOOKING AT STATS JUST NOW AND LOOK AT THEM AT THE END OF THE SEASON.
this guys is trying to build something and this will take time.
get behind him as we have no choice but to be with him for the foreseeable future and bringing the man down does nobody any favours.

plus don't judge him on what he did last season
just keep calm and carry on

7.) 19 Sep 2017 16:27:05
GraemeH89, are you and God related lol

8.) 19 Sep 2017 23:13:05
Mcinnes got second because he had second biggest budget? By your own theory we should be second because we have the second biggest budget. Last season we couldn't get second, this season we are still not second. How has mcinnes managed to be second when he doesn't have the second biggest budget? The floor is yours geesadodothat.

9.) 19 Sep 2017 23:19:56
Kri55

Are you seriously trying to compare our defeats to their defeat to PSG? Aren't you aware of the players PSG have to choose from? Can you please name me a better front 3 in all of world football than PSG?

10.) 20 Sep 2017 10:45:03
Support pedro
support the team
shout louder
let them hear we are supporting them
give them the confidence to go out play put in a shift

And we will all get what we want rangers football club back as kings of scottish football and take europe as a bonus like the smelltic have been doing hapoy to get humped year in year out but happily filling up there biscuit tin with millions

11.) 21 Sep 2017 01:17:26
Stewie 25, shout louder? This is your plan to get Rangers back to top of Scottish football?

Kris, mcInnes is much more suited to the role than PC, he's an experienced Scottish manager who knows he game and the club inside out. He also beat us at ibrox becoming the first Aberdeen manager to do so since the 80s, he has also finished 2nd last season ahead of us with a much smaller playing budget. So yet I think he did deserve the job.

12 May 2016 23:55:05
Few people seem to be mentioning graham Dorrans, personally doubt we could afford a player like that whos still in contract at Norwich. I know from a workmate ( who's good pals with Dorrans ) that he is a big blue nose and is also friends with Andy Halliday so think he would jump at the chance to come to Ibrox but what sorta fee do we think it would take? Agree with the majority that it's time for Sheils, Law, Bell, Zalalem and few others to move on as its a big step up and we need to free up some wages to bring in better quality. Rossiter is a great signing and a future star more of the same please MW.

GraemeH89

1.) 13 May 2016 00:55:53
Has rossiter signed yet?

2.) 13 May 2016 11:20:39
Apparently the deal is done and dusted.

Hard time to be a bear this last while. Once a club with a stellar worldwide reputation, built on class and integrity from top to bottom. Now look at us, we have became a laughing stock and it only seems to get worse and worse. The players we are now signing or being linked with are completely below par for what we have came to expect from rangers but what else can we expect when we have no money and our board is clueless with the money it does have. We will not get near the manky mob for a long time unless there is somebody willing to stump up major cash to invest in our playing squad and we get a decent manager in. If not then ten in a row for them is a foregone conclusion I'm afraid.

GraemeH89

1.) 27 Dec 2017 12:19:38
You are right. Problem I have is although I hate where we are just now, I could handle it if it looked like we were moving forward.

Forget about teams of the past, because I don't think we'll see those levels for a long time.

However, to compete for the title i honestly think we have half a team capable, but the Key is to start with the manager. A good manager improves what you have and identifies good players for the weak areas. Without this in place, we will go round in circles for the foreseeable.

In the hands of the right manager £10m or so could go a long way.

2.) 27 Dec 2017 12:33:51
Spot on mate, I lived in Manchester for 28 years and a lot of the Manchester lads had a bit of interest in Scottish football and a lot of them supported Rangers, they even have a supporters club and they travel up to watch the Gers. there used to be a lot of interest in the old firm games and the pubs would be relatively full of punters watching it.
But recently and very sadly no one is really interested in Scottish football anymore, I went into a pub in Manchester where normally there would be a good number of punters watching the old firm game and it was empty. our worldwide appeal as a club is definately diminishing rapidly, the board needs to bring investment in and get us back up there amongst the worlds best clubs

23 Sep 2017 23:41:05
Disappointed with today's result. But really can't say it wasn't expected. We are still a long way off catching Celtic, and people talking about us having made big progress I struggle to see any evidence of this. When we played them in the Scottish cup semi final two seasons ago I thought we were excellent on that day, the difference from that game to today is huge, we hardly laid a glove on them today. Same old story concede possession far to easy and lack ideas going forward. Pena looks way off the pace, Herrera doesn't look like he's going to score many goals from what Iv seen so far. One Big positive from the season is Morelos though, think he will continue to score this season and become a top player.

GraemeH89

1.) 24 Sep 2017 02:27:07
Correct. Morelos was murder today tho. how many times was he offside.

18 Sep 2017 10:31:58
Referring to my last post regarding Pedro for him not being the right man long term, which received some responses accusing me of Pedro-bashing, I would love to see the guy succeed, I would love his signings to do well and would love him to close the gap on Celtic. But what I was saying is that on the evidence so far I am struggling to imagine it happening.

Can anyone really say that we have played well consistently over a couple of games since he has took over? I accept we aren't going to win the league this year I expected that from the beginning, but what I did expect was to get second place and I worry that we won't get that either as we can't win 3 games in a row and slip up Against every half decent team put in front of us.

GraemeH89

1.) 18 Sep 2017 10:57:04
They were not ready for Europe as a professional club top to bottom not good enough

2.) 18 Sep 2017 11:11:18
Have to agree Graeme, l do not pretend to be a footballing tactician or expert but we have dropped to many points to teams we should be taking 3 from every Time, Our stadium seems to be an arena for other clubs now. I do think we are miles behind them and it will be years before we challenge imo.

I was really optimistic with Pedro, l didn't know some of the players but was hoping they would light up Scottish football. I am not calling for his head instead l have lowered my expectations. I just hope we come good but it seems to me we are struggling to put teams away.

3.) 18 Sep 2017 19:41:47
The result in Europe was shocking he should have been able to field the youth team and beat them. All Rangers fans want him to succeed however in my opinion it isn't going to happen and we will never win the league with him in charge.

4.) 18 Sep 2017 19:42:45
Reply to taxi Tam I thought it was thistle had man sent aff red gave us a point the Buffalo could easily have been sent aff

17 Sep 2017 03:44:45
Just like every other gers fan, I'm was really disappointed with the result last night especially when we had the chance to have three straight wins for the first time under PC and also go into next weeks old firm on a high. I'm not calling for him to be sacked but I just don't think he's the man for us long term.

under him we have received our biggest defeat against Celtic at ibrox in recent history if not ever, lost to Aberdeen at home for the first time in over 20 years, put out of Europe against minnows from Liechtenstein and now recently lost at home to hibs who just came up and drew 0-0 at home to hearts, having 1 shot on target the whole game.

It's just not good enough and add the signings of players Pena, Herrera and Dalcio. I just can't see any real progression and am worried about what might happen against that mob next week.

GraemeH89

1.) 17 Sep 2017 07:12:52
Graeme I see your concerns my friend and let me tell you, there hasn't been any progression from last season. We might aswell have kept the same players. I honestly think celtic will pump us about 4-0 that seems to be there default amount of goals against diddy teams like us.

2.) 17 Sep 2017 08:34:46
He isn't the man for the job and it was one of the most bizarre appointments ever made by the club. He will either be gone by Xmas or in the summer and I think we could witness another clearout this summer. The team are poor with too many weak players.

3.) 17 Sep 2017 08:47:56
The reality is that we could not beat the 2nd bottom team. We had 23mins against 10 men to score 2 goals and could only score 1. Same old story of throwing away points when they are there for the taking. Worryingly they scored 2 against us.

As for next week then we only have to live and hope.

4.) 17 Sep 2017 10:18:45
is this what is going to happen if we drop points, the doom gloomers come out in force. to say we haven't progressed is nonsense. we have a striker who can score, our top scorer last year was miller with 11. we can get the ball to him so we have improved in that area. we have one of best defence stopping players playing balls into the box but problem is when they get there they score. so the issue isn't our cb but backing them up was balls get into the box. thistle got 9players in the box every time we were on attack. for us a win is a must for them a draw is a win.

5.) 17 Sep 2017 15:24:17
We are playing to qualify for the champions league. the money place. Friday night was certainly not good enough when we failed to grasp the opportunity for points.

6.) 17 Sep 2017 16:21:05
Give the manager a break he has had to rebuild a complete new team even players in it takes time some transfers work some don't it's the same as any other team look at the players Celtic have signed over last five years, not every one of them have been a success some take longer than others to bed in I remember under Souness players came in and we're back out the door in months but we now have transfer windows so that can't happen we are a better team now than last year but we need two or three more players in key positions.

but again money is short we are not the old Rangers where millions could be spent to stay ahead of the rest we have to be patient sacking the manager would be crazy we've only played six games were three points off the top we have a positive goal difference last season we couldn't score goals we need to tighten up at the back to many silly goals being given away the next transfer window will be important to us we need a left winger Windass does it in spurts but not enough for me a good target man who can win the ball in the air we are not to far off having a good team we still lack that confidence but that will come so I'm optimistic Pedro can get us there but six game isn't enough.

I don't look at this team as the old Rangers we had million pound players in every position and on the bench we are well behind Celtic they have had the last five or six years of Champions league money and only change one or two players every season same as most teams so you always have a core to the team Pedro has had to change a whole team as MW left a lot of poor quality players so let's all calm down and take the rough with the smooth I'll judge him at end of the season we need to finish second

7.) 17 Sep 2017 17:51:10
5 points off the top mate and can be 8 if the favourites win what is very likely like your enthusiasm though keep it up

8.) 18 Sep 2017 12:12:54
Lots of nonsense on here about lack of progress from last season. Much stronger team alround with Jack and Dorrran in particular light years ahead of Barton and Halliday who occupied same positions last year, and in Miorels at least we have an predator striker with eye for goal. Problem currently is that we are leaking goals and Pedro needs to sort out quickly with Bruno how to organise defence.

9.) 18 Sep 2017 20:03:50
Blue will - seriously - Pena over Jack?

23 Jun 2016 22:53:06
Obviously happy we are making some signings but some people just going over the top. Krankjar obv a good player but he's been playing in the second division in the US. it shows how far Rangers have fallen that people are drooling over these signings when we used to have international players in our team ( geo van brockhorst, Reyna, Kanchelskis, ricksen to name a few ) some people need to calm down we still have a long way to go to get back to where we should be.

GraemeH89

1.) 24 Jun 2016 00:45:27
The days of international players are gone. The best we will do is a scotland international player (Mckay) we are happy as it is far better than the likes of daly, hutton and Kevin Kyle. The days are looking a lot better.

2.) 24 Jun 2016 05:43:39
loving the progress we are making on transfer front, board and management doing a sterling job, i want us to go for the treble, not content to just get near the top of the league. It may seem unfair that some of the players who excelled for us last season might not feature as much, but I trust Warbs to get his lean squad ready for the challenge.
P. S. Re name changing at Murray Park. I suggest "Blue Heaven"
Cheers.

3.) 24 Jun 2016 07:59:47
Grahame h89.its not a matter of getting over exited, did you see the crap we had on the field for 3 years, the signings last year put circles round an average celtic team, there was talk of a gap, we closed it on semi final at hampden, with a team that cost less than a million pound. in this window we are going up a few notches on talent and experiance to challenge for title. from the hell we have came from, its easy to understand most fans exitment on these players that have come in. again. we are tied up financialy without shirt money, mabye to the tune of 15 mill a year. add that in to the coffers and your targeting a better talent again. so as far as i am concerned we are on the rite track and only going to get better.

4.) 24 Jun 2016 10:13:16
Graham h89, the reason Krancjar was playing in the American League was due to his wife's modelling
career .
If he was playing in any European league a would put my mortgage on him being in France with Croatia .
The guy is sheer class which you will soon find out .
There is always one person you can't satisfy, MW and the team doing a great job .

5.) 24 Jun 2016 11:53:33
Kranjcar is a 31 year old Croatian with 85 caps for his country in a time when they boasted some outstanding talent. We should all be delighted to have him. He went to America with his wife and signed on at New York to get his fitness up. Used sparingly in the bigger games he will be a superstar for us. McKay, Holt and Windass will be learning from a true master of the ball.

6.) 24 Jun 2016 11:49:51
GraemeH89 - I guess we should exercise some caution and not let our expectations run away with us. Let's see what Kranjcar, Barton, Rossiter et al deliver on the park before we crown new kings of Ibrox Park - But the shear imagination and audacity of these signings, in my opinion anyway, is quite breathtaking and far surpasses the paper talk and general speculation at the end of last season and for that reason, it is difficult not to get excited. Fortune Favours the Brave - Who Dares Wins and on that basis alone MW and the team deserve a trophy. Thankfully, it is inspiring and uplifting to be a Ranger, once again! I wonder what all the doubters who dismissed the chance of Rangers challenging Celtic for the title first season back are thinking now? 55 we are coming for you!

F-U . how Is Shankland too old he’s 23, and he’s not good enough to even be a squad player, he’s scored 35 goals in 38 games in the championship, who else in our squad ( except possibly Morelos ) would score anywhere near that amount in that league? I agree he’s not probably going to come in and do the business in Europe, but a player like that could do a job when wer short on options up front like against Aberdeen when we were forced to play that donkey sadiq.

To many drinks this Christmas shaft, Routledge is on approx 35 grand a week at Swansea. Aden Flint is wanted be bigger clubs than us we couldn’t afford him. Even players on that list like Vibe or Andy King we would struggle to sell. When will people realise we are still skint. We couldn’t tempt Aberdeen’s manager away from them what chance do we have of getting half these players. Kenny McLean is about the calibre of player we can attract now and will do until we sort ourselves out on and off the park.

Moult is a scumbag? He should have been signed for us stop talking nonsense. Also you say you back the manager but then slate Pena, who brought him? Who never bought a left mid and constantly plays Windass? Pedro is to blame it's his team now, every test he has had he has failed. The warning signs were there losing to progress Niederkorn. Times up Pedro
