Selling bassey has basically paid for our whole team . our team cost at the euro final was around 17.5m with 1 player sale the entire teams been paid off . that the only way we should look at it financially basseys sale paid for the team .

Expect 2 more signings possibly 3 if we make the CL group stage.

1.) 20 Jul 2022 13:44:04
Are you saying that you expect it in general (2 more signings) or you have heard there will be 2 more signings?

2.) 20 Jul 2022 19:09:04
In general plus if the CL groups are made I would expect another one in.

3.) 20 Jul 2022 22:01:53
It is great business. And so far Aribo and Itten sales have covered all our incomings, means we also have cash in the bank which is nice for once. I'd think 2 more max but would settle for either a lb or st. Could see us sign 1 and maybe get a loan late in the window for the other if we get CL as Ness says.

It's funny the mind of a celtic fan when we sell someone with add ons the add ons are forgotten about and its the bottom line price .

We buy a player and the add ons are added without question to the final price amd the wages exaggerated to the max .

What a difference a week makes from been told they have strengthened to them realising they are still 1 or 3 injured players away from a disaster but realise until the drop the players hogging wages . they have no funds to buy and will be getting more loan to buy players (forgive me but I might be wrong went we ridiculously ripped apart by that mob fir doing this as we got back on out feet? )

Now it's the normal over there to spend next seasons one this season loaning players to buy its classed as good business rather than what it is a club struggling with finances that paper over the cracks with a few loans ?.

Great pick up NessBear, the Davies transfer that’s been reported highlights what u are saying perfectly

Bassey fee reported as lowest point, Davies fee reported as highest point.

Said it all along hiw to beat celtic Park the bus for 45mins if they can't score the first half they run it off steam then are for the taking. don't go toe to toe with them make them run ragged forst half kill them 2nd half st mirren proved that today . this celtic team haven't got the vets stamina or fight in them . if they don't get there own way they start falling like flies greetin for fouls . playing Europe then domestic games so quickly ain't for everyone and I said it on the celtic pages they are 4 players off been able to just cope with it let along compete . 3 points lost for them as good as 6 points for us this weekend . this will give our players a bit extra now moving forward . Next old firm will be interesting if gio takes note make them chase and press then send on the rapid boys in 2nd half and cemtic will crumble.

Its like a polar opposite of this time last season cemtic struggled as we charged on . well they are crumbling quicker and will continue now trams have sussed anges system out.

St Mirren gubbed them playing 532 352 wing backs.

2.) 18 Sep 2022 14:35:50
You’re spot on. Everyone knows they are burned out 60 minutes into a game so it’ll be a long season for them as it’s still early days. Tortoise and the hare stuff!
I think the European football might be there demise. They also don’t have any injuries at the minute. That will come. Meanwhile half our team is injured.

3.) 18 Sep 2022 14:36:56
Agree Nessie with all you say.
The worry is Gio is too stubborn to change. We got hammered by them in February and played the same way against them this month and got hammered again. We are still well in the league and hopefully we can clear up the injuries and sort ourselves out for the next run of games. Long way to go.

4.) 18 Sep 2022 14:51:56
A great result today for St Mirren and I am delighted to see it! The Celtic Support today like their Dundee counterparts were nothing short of a total disgrace and that result today makes me very happy.

We just need to get our act together, make sure that any player that wears the Royal Blue gives 100% for the jersey and that our Board gives the necessary support in January to provide any support needed to help secure us this league title.

5.) 18 Sep 2022 15:56:37
They didn’t tire but st mirren bullied them
With two big strikers got 2 shots on target and scored them.

6.) 18 Sep 2022 19:47:12
This was Celtics first weekend game after a midweek European fixture.

I had a sneaky suspicion they'd drop points as their style of play demands a lot from their players. didn't for a second think it'd be 2-0 mind you.

I think the Ed's should look at expanding the pages to, Rangers Rumours, Rangers Banter, Rangers Finances and Rangers Bitching.

Might not need to be a permanent additional, would only be required until we;

Replace our Board
Replace our Director of Football
Replace our Manager
Replace our Coaching Team
Replace our Captain
Dispand our 'failing youth system'
Place several of our best players on 'gardening leave'
Replace Castore as our kit manufacturer
Reduce the number of sponsors on our strips
Introduce safe standing, and
Reveal all the inner workings of our club in the name of transparency.

To all the why ain't we spending money brigade read the news and see why we ain't spending money unless really needed . we ran at a loss for yrs and onky this last 2 or 3 seasons started to make profit . staying where we are after where we have been is more important to the armchair manager brigade screaming for signings that are not needed . if we sell we replace that's how we are working now se sold 2 bought 7 can't even keep that up every year need to sell and keep doing well in Europe along with hopefully celtic aswell to remain in the money game of the champions league . wake up and of sense isn't for you go support a bowling team .

I like the way that they have bricked up the windows and all the staff inside are down stairs for safety reasons. I wonder if they do herras fencing and sharks to make it more authentic looking.

4.) 26 Aug 2022 21:25:59
Notice the lack of "safety" rails on the bus . the makers were concerned that children would be very scared of sharks teeth as hand rails so decided to add little turrets for protection against low flying pond life ?.

5.) 26 Aug 2022 23:10:28
Tt, most of them will refuse to purchase when they see the bluevale street flats lol.

I have put myself up for the Kessock bridge zipline challenge next month to raise money for the highland hospice who have been looking after me and my family. I have a sponsorship link . the challenge is if any of you have been to Dingwall at Ross County and crossed the Kessock bridge I will along with others be taking s zipline off the bridge down into North Kessock village . its 1500ft down . am just doing it to try give something back for all the help I get . so others thst come after me with this awful sickness gets the same or even better care by this mainly voluntary run charity.

For anyone willing to sponsor, the donations go straight to this highland hospice page

I don't get the money as everyone raising all out funds get put into 1 pot and it's all there to check.

I applaud you my pal?Take care and god bless ?.

5.) 07 Aug 2022 09:27:08
Keep fighting matey and good luck with this also ❤️??.

6.) 07 Aug 2022 09:30:08
I'm from Inverness originally - the hospice do fantastic work and looked after my grandad brilliantly.

Kessock bridge is actually a bit of an architectural marvel. One of the first bridges like it in Europe. Sits on 2 tectonic plates so they bridge actually allows a fair bit of movement to compensate for shifts.

You'll absolutely smash it mate. All the best.

Paid for 1 player and 13 month option to buy on the 2nd player from Russia. but the law was the foreign players were FREE to leave Russia or Ukraine clubs and sign elsewhere as contracts could be ripped up .

NessBear

{Ed001's Note - not true. You are wrong. They were free to sign on loan elsewhere, there was nothing about ripping up contracts, but they could choose to suspend them. Some players considered a legal challenge to have their contracts ripped up.}

The way the board is playing tit for two woth the sofa and BBC and every other company not following the lead of the board or asking questions thst needed answered. it is time for a change of ownership . we should have been yhe bigger side of a bitter argument and said no we did this on out own we got back where we are with no help . all this we ain't playing legal actions and the likes make out club look amateur in my view .

Then we get to the current action against some American woman who's been hawking the club for investment. no smoke without fire lads must be something in the background. dave king also popping back in with his penny's worth like i say no smoke without fire regarding takeover or investment.

The board deserve credit but in my view have taken the club as far or above even they know how to handle. now it will all be about but I paid this I paid that I invested this bla bla bla . can see the signs of this if u are sensible enough .

Something ain't right behind the scenes it's nit financial trouble but the money coming in is definitely an issue to those who invested and will want a return . they have shares yes they can sell them yes and get money back . but they won't agree on things and this will be where these rumours have begun someone's spat the dummy out n not playing ball no more .

If our club was officially put up for sale dame sure there would be plenty out there now willing to buy and take to the next level.

Was the player who had a change of heart at the airport and choose to sign for nice instead it was live on sly sports the lad had a source sitting with the player waiting to head to Leeds on a private jet . Leeds didn't wall away as they were expecting the player to arrive and sign the Leeds chairman even tweeted today let's welcome the player to Leeds 2hrs before rhe player changes his mind.

The source is covering all options so he can say i told you so . nobody knows nothing as not one thing that any source has apparently told anyone has even happened. we ended up with players nobody expected.

Like all of is these "sources" are guessing . we as gio stated will not sign unless we sell as we don't need to otherwise.

Kamala goes we will have a player lined up ready to go plain and simple. we all know this because our club made it clear we are ready to move on targets IF we loose anyone .

Plus young ure showed he can score and ve relied on . what's point in spending on youth set up an jot to use it . all the young lads have shown they can cut it of needed . we don't need anyone in ots pure greed . we will spend when we need to . we are stronger than last season for sure if u can't see that stop playing champ manager and thinking it'd reap life . money in the bank is better than money wasted .

1873 celtic spent a fortune in the disco lights because they were regularly in the champions league (until they became the whipping bhoys and screwed up the coefficient) so they have never used the dosco lights in the champions league as they were intended for . now rangers put them into the champions league. if we play on the Tuesday and they on the weds or hoke before they do then rangers football club will have played in the champions league before the Roscoe lights were turned on.

As we know as a club the good times don't last forever it's impossible to keep such high standards going for so long as the saying goes all good things come to an end . what goes up must come down . let's hope they don't discover best form againt us.
