Any1 heard anything about rumours of either investment or potential buy out from far east. Iv read few sites and this seems to have a few people excited.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 28 Jun 2022 03:42:28
None what so ever wouldn't surprise if any investment did come Takeover from the far East would highly be unlikely as of no Value in it.

2.) 28 Jun 2022 07:47:56
Rumours of Investment from Far East and Middle East surfaces every year ????.

3.) 28 Jun 2022 08:33:24
Posted yesterday.

4.) 28 Jun 2022 08:39:43
FRASER54 - you are spot on mate. there is no value for foreign investors in taking a large share or takeover of Rangers.
It would cost them less than a 3rd string left back in england to buy out our wonderful club. with next to no return, in fact exepected to plough more money in every year, in the hope we have the odd good run in Europe.
Better investing in whisky - great returns ;-)

5.) 28 Jun 2022 08:58:42
Correct Gregory.

6.) 28 Jun 2022 09:35:17
Could be so truth look at all the commercial and tv rights deals we made with asia.

7.) 28 Jun 2022 09:40:04
dcp capital chinease company already have an investment in our woman's team n sponcer deal

said a while back the may invest more in first team as time goes on.

8.) 28 Jun 2022 09:45:38
Frazer54 no value in it? Our stocks high after reaching a European final the eyes of the world are on us. If we make the champs league stock increases again. Your a celtic man or you know nothing.

9.) 28 Jun 2022 09:51:50
Am I not right in saying we already have Far Eastern investors? do we not have a a gentleman from HongKong who invested in fact is it not him and his wife who put the money into the ladies team so maybe there is some truth.

10.) 28 Jun 2022 10:49:30
Under normal circumstances, if there was genuine interest in a buy out the share price would reflect it - and it's pretty static.

So assume it's not something that's real, or if it is, it's at the very early stages - in which case I'd be surprised if it was common knowledge.

11.) 28 Jun 2022 10:58:02
Twacoos we have several Far East major investors.

12.) 28 Jun 2022 11:06:30
Frazer54, there would be no financial benefit to an investor yes that's true but there are other reasons to invest such as PR, Advertising and tax avoidance. How much money does Leipzig make red bull? I don't really know but I'd wager not very much in their grand scheme. The returns for RB are that they have a presence in the European stage (x 2 if you include Salzburg. )

13.) 28 jun 2022 11:47:06
frazier, nobody expect to make money investing in football, the elite companies who own the likes of red bull etc already making billions every year, they are simply spreading they’re name and associating it with a major sport name, football clubs need money poured int them, not taken out, not just rangers, all of them,

{Ed001's Note - tell that to the Glazers Tom.}

14.) 28 Jun 2022 13:05:53
Cheers John I thought we had.

15.) 28 jun 2022 16:11:58
i take your point ed.

24 Jun 2022 14:26:56
Reading fenerbahce in for biy from PAOK Colak as part of a swap deal.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 24 Jun 2022 15:11:38
How can two teams be in for him as part of a swap deal?

2.) 24 Jun 2022 15:15:16
Read that wrong just woke up nightshift I thought you mean reading and fenerbache in for him ??.

3.) 24 Jun 2022 15:40:39
No chance it's a ploy to drive our price up just like the Italians did with skov last window. We should not be going above 1.5 for colak he has flopped with poak twice ? it's now a gamble for us to take him and should be reflected in price. If they want nearer the 2 or 2.5 it should all be performances based.

4.) 24 jun 2022 16:10:38
how in gods name do you know that it’s “ no chance, a ploy “ it might just as well be true, do you think the entire football world are conspiring against rangers, ?

you think they don’t have they’re own business to conduct? ,

5.) 24 Jun 2022 17:21:08
Out of curiousity how much did we get for two time flop itten and how much did we pay ? I use logic and reason and maybe a bit of common sense not hatred.

22 Jun 2022 22:00:26
Reports in Spanish media seville to make a formal offer of 8m euros for Alfie. I read last week of interest but maybe about to make a bid and force our hand.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 22 Jun 2022 23:29:19
What do you mean force our hand?

2.) 22 Jun 2022 23:47:24
I doubt that we would accept £7m for Morelos. We would struggle to replace him with a player of equal or better ability for that sort of money. Even if there is a Bosman available that meets the criteria the strong likelihood is that they will command a significant sign on fee and a wage that we wouldn't pay.

3.) 23 Jun 2022 05:55:50
I just can’t see us accepting less than double figures, you never know as the board might consider the risk of losing him for nothing is too big. I hope he signs a new contract.

4.) 23 Jun 2022 06:19:03
Wasn’t Eddy in the last year if his deal? Celtic still held out for a good chunk of change, Morelos is better IMO.

5.) 23 Jun 2022 07:32:36
Storm force our hand by actually putting money on the table then we either accept or lose him for nothing.

6.) 23 Jun 2022 07:34:28
Celtic have a record of getting top dollar for players we don't. If Alfie isn't going to sign we may need to accept a lower offer and imo 10m would be realistic.

7.) 23 Jun 2022 08:19:12
Calling Celtic players by their nickname is very weird tbh.

8.) 23 Jun 2022 09:21:19
Ajer went for 13 million with less than a year on his correct a think we will hold out for 15.

9.) 23 Jun 2022 10:00:31
Tango he went to epl but was it hit an undisclosed fee?

10.) 23 Jun 2022 10:03:15
10m when Celtic sold Kjaer for 12m with a year left!

GET A GRIP onewalter.

20 Jun 2022 14:13:36
Reading that Besiktas are interested in morelos and talks are ongoing. Sooner we sort out his future the better every window it's the same will he won't he.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 20 Jun 2022 20:25:37
Besiktas would not be a good move for Morelos in my opinion.

2.) 21 Jun 2022 00:34:29
Bb, nor would most of us, lol.

19 Jun 2022 17:37:51
John you posted a day or so ago you thought they're be 2 signings in within 10 days. Anything you can share.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 19 Jun 2022 19:06:15
One Walter told a goalkeeper and a forward player.

2.) 19 Jun 2022 19:59:55
Any rumours who the players could be john.

3.) 19 Jun 2022 20:37:45
Very quiet on all fronts. Am hoping some new faces be done before Pre season starts bk.

4.) 19 Jun 2022 21:11:39
Is it the fenerbahce keeper John?

5.) 19 Jun 2022 21:13:36
Turkish lad is one I believe.

6.) 19 Jun 2022 21:13:57
Ozer as Bayinder is their number one.

7.) 20 Jun 2022 09:26:22
With regards ozer Turkish keeper he looks like a great shot stopper and distribution for a keeper look brilliant but my one concern is he never seems to gather the ball it always seems to rebound from him or palmed away. Looks promising apart from this.

8.) 20 Jun 2022 09:30:47
Go for I think he will start as a two.

9.) 20 Jun 2022 11:08:02
Agree gofor that was my take from watching footage of him also, I’m hoping McLaughlin number 1 next season. Very safe and commands his area. Ozer takes cup game role initially if signed would be good start for him.

10.) 20 Jun 2022 11:23:18
I am not to sure about the Tuskish keeper Ozer. Played 14 league games and conceded 17 goals, 3 clean sheets and 2 bookings in 14 games. He is only 22 and may strive at Rangers, but stats don't lie, I also wonder about his value at 3.5m then again I'm no expert.

11.) 20 Jun 2022 12:46:05
He’s free buzultra so we won’t be paying anything so his value isn’t really an issue to us.

12.) 20 Jun 2022 13:14:41
Buzultra that's a very unfair assesment keeper clean sheets mean nothing regarding keepers you could have had guys like Duffy in front of you ??? do you think Goran had more clean sheets at Hibs or Rangers? Keepers are judged more on handling saves errors clean sheets are one of last things people look at means. nowt.

13.) 21 jun 2022 15:15:50
let me assure you, clean sheets don’t mean “ nowt” mate

they won’t be everything, but they certainly mean much more than nowt.

26 Jun 2022 14:46:38
I see Tom Lawrence being linked again. i know he's had his problems offield but as a fee transfer he's worth a punt.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 26 Jun 2022 15:10:40
Not for me. We don't need any problem players.

2.) 26 Jun 2022 15:34:10
He's not a problem player, but he is a good player.

3.) 26 Jun 2022 15:54:45
Would you of said that about gazza.

4.) 26 Jun 2022 16:14:28
I would consider him a problem and would steer clear. Gazza was a generational talent and worth a gamble, which paid off in style. This guy is a championship level player and not on the same planet.

5.) 26 Jun 2022 16:23:21
Christen different argument, did Gazza leave someone for dead, or kill somebody as one off our ex guys did.

6.) 26 Jun 2022 16:50:14
He beat his wife John; just as bad imo.

7.) 26 Jun 2022 18:20:49
Agree sweep. He beat his wife. That's enough for me.

8.) 26 Jun 2022 18:28:22
I get that sweep. and he was sold not long after, I’m not defending him.
My view why buy known trouble.
Our club don’t need the bad press, although papers might not cover it.

At rangers standards need to be very high, hence why a few have left especially from academy.

9.) 26 Jun 2022 18:48:17
Yes I full agree with this John.

10.) 26 Jun 2022 19:43:40
This guy should be nowhere near our club and just because of the past doesn’t mean we should in the future so bringing Gazza into it is irrelevant.

25 Jun 2022 08:46:51
Have read soo many compliments about mick beale since his interview the other day feeling being most fans would like to see him back at some point whilst SG won't ever be welcome guys beale made a decision same as SG to go for m9re money and a better league. Does any1 seriously think if he'd indicated he wanted to stay that wouldn't have happened. I love our fans but we have selective memories.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 25 Jun 2022 09:43:05
Both did leave you are correct but not to be welcomed back I don’t know about that as SG did bring us 55 no matter how he left.

2.) 25 Jun 2022 09:55:45
I have no ill will to SG. Club could have probably done with a change anyway, we won 55, had some good euro nights, got money for him leaving and what I consider an upgrade in a more tactically astute and experienced manager.

3.) 25 Jun 2022 09:59:47
They should be welcome back in my opinion.

4.) 25 Jun 2022 10:01:51
Can’t help but be impressed by this fella

He is very Rangers in all he does, has real class and seems like a really well regarded individual

If he does well on his own, which I hope he does then maybe one day he will be back with us

I think he could be moulded into a great Director of Football.

5.) 25 Jun 2022 11:02:54
Couldn’t disagree more with you on this OneWalter!

Of course he left! His bond with SG is massive. You’re being naive here mate.

6.) 25 Jun 2022 12:52:50
I'm not disputing it so was Walter Smith when sourness left I'm not saying he would've go job but same ones who castigate SG apparently would welcome back beale. Why?

7.) 25 Jun 2022 12:57:18
Of course he left, he had little option as a new manager would have wanted to bring in his own coaching team and that's exactly what happened. For me, both would be welcome back at Ibrox at any time, but probably not in a working capacity. They did a good job here.

8.) 25 Jun 2022 13:04:55
I haven't seen a single poster say they would welcome back Beale and not SG if I'm honest.

9.) 25 Jun 2022 13:41:06
Both welcome back anytime?.

10.) 25 Jun 2022 14:51:06
Neither have I snell at the end of the day he left to go to epl half way thru a season ( I wasn’t happy at the time) but everyone that SG came with will always be welcomed back in my eyes for bringing us 55.

11.) 25 Jun 2022 16:49:32
Sg and his team will always be welcomed back in my eyes.

25 Jun 2022 08:12:22
If we've agreed a fee with PAOK why haven't we heard anything more. Have we reached personal terms with the boy. Why the delay.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 25 Jun 2022 09:47:35
Apart from John25 stating we've agreed a fee with PAOK for colak, i've not seen this anywhere at all?No reason to doubt John25 though, as he gets very good reliable info and is always on the ball so i hope John25's info is spot on ?.

2.) 25 Jun 2022 10:05:08
John said striker and goalkeeper coming in within 10 days ( that was 9 days ago) so if not Colak who else could it be? Also no goalkeeper!

3.) 25 Jun 2022 10:38:03
2blue are you counting the days like?

4.) 25 Jun 2022 10:54:01
Love it two blue.
What I have recently heard we plan to sign a few players before 2025.

5.) 25 Jun 2022 11:04:16
Colak is a done deal from what I’ve been told. But let’s be honest only a strict few will know the truth.

6.) 25 Jun 2022 11:18:12
2blue if we want to be precise we signed a goal kee
Alan McGregor
We signed a forward Zak Lovelace so technically I was correct was I not.

7.) 25 Jun 2022 11:18:47
Correct gdog.

8.) 25 Jun 2022 11:31:09
100% John but take no notice of this guy with his snide digs no need for it mate ?.

9.) 25 Jun 2022 11:52:27
John if you count McGregor and Lovelace you would be correct but I sincerely hope that was not your information? Are we signing the forward player and goalkeeper or not? Is the forward player Colak?

10.) 25 Jun 2022 12:48:16
No it was not, but I’ll have a word with Wilson to speed up deals.

11.) 25 Jun 2022 13:03:27
2blue what info do you get Why are you having a go at John for giving out info So he maybe got the amount of days wrong it’s not the end of the world and there is loads of reasons why transfers can take longer.

12.) 25 Jun 2022 13:29:25
I'd be grateful if you could John. Tell him to get the finger out mate.

13.) 25 Jun 2022 13:51:43
Why on earth do we have a guy (and in some case’s guy) having a go at somebody on this site. Honestly, do you have nothing better in your life but you call out a fellow rangers support on a forum, seriously, is this the best you’ve got? If John stopped posted snippets of his information the decent rumours of this site would drop significantly. C’mon mate, take a long hard look in the mirror and grow up.

14.) 25 Jun 2022 14:02:05
Well said stormtrooper. I look forward to John25 input. Gives facts instead of. if you had 59m quid who would you buy tripe. Deals take time. Perhaps John25 should have said two weeks and not 10 days lol lol. Keep up the good work John25. This site would be poorer without you.

15.) 25 Jun 2022 14:46:39
There are posters on here, John being one, who take a great deal of time going to watch the youngsters play, manage to get information from within the club on various on goings and post said information or their thoughts on here. I for one would rather that than the rubbish the media pump out on daily basis. Keep it up guys.

16.) 25 Jun 2022 15:31:44
John you might be able to shed more light on if rossiter is ready in 8-10 days hahahaha

Always look out for John posts (I don’t post much) but he is always knowledgable in things! Intrigued for the next few years with all the good youth players we have :)

17.) 25 Jun 2022 16:53:09
Will do parlane although I suspect he won’t take notice from someone on a rumour site

Sadly for rossiter it will be five years. B4 we resign him, I’m told we have first refusal once he turns 35 Welsh bear.

18.) 25 Jun 2022 17:11:54
One Walter I wrote we had agreed a fee circa 2 million for Colak.
Personal terms and medical still to be sorted. Sometimes you can have a protracted negotiation on terms with player and agent.

19.) 25 Jun 2022 17:26:57
Not an expert but I've always seen the hold up in any transfer is not the actual fee but personal terms. As said above, many reasons for deals to take longer than first thought.

20.) 25 Jun 2022 18:02:15
Parlane I have known cases where a fee is agreed but personal terms can’t be. I’ve see a player walk away because they don’t have a good vibe
It happens.

24 Jun 2022 08:43:33
So based Purely on speculation we could lose Aribo kamara and Alfie that's a massive job to find 3 players to take there places. Out of interest how many do you think we'll lose. Imo kamara and Aribo seem most likely unless a club get more realistic on Alfies worth.

Onewaltersmith

1.) 24 Jun 2022 09:16:38
personally i don't think we NEED to replace aribo or kamara. Hagi and Lowry will take the number 10 role, think we covered in midfield and young mccann looks capable of stepping up this season if need be

Alfie on other hand would be harder to replace and hope we don't lose the buff but i'm sure the Gio and his team have targets set to go if we do.

2.) 24 Jun 2022 10:28:29
Personal opinion, we need to sign one new striker now, and if Alfie goes we need two!

3.) 24 Jun 2022 10:33:55
Think fans are getting carried away with McCann he’s really small and lightweight would get kicked lumps out of and out muscles in our league needs to but some beef on.

4.) 24 Jun 2022 10:54:31
Tango how often u watch him. He is a terrier, who certainly does not get out muscled in lowland league.

Destroyed julienne twice in game against them.
Hearts never dominated him

5 —8 is ok with his upper body strength.

5.) 24 Jun 2022 11:39:58
McCann wasn't outmuscled in the 45 minutes he played against Hearts.
3 out of 3 ground duels won.
87% passing accuracy.
Only lost / gave away possession 4 times in 45 minutes.
I really like him as a player.

6.) 24 Jun 2022 11:54:43
We are already short of quality in midfield imo jbf, so if we lost those 2 we would need at least one top player in to replace. We can't rely on jack o stay fit. Davis arfield playing regularly won't win us league.

7.) 24 Jun 2022 11:55:56
Stuart McCall couldn't have been much better than 5 foot 8 and he never got out muscled.

8.) 24 Jun 2022 12:21:47
Sweep according to his profile he was 5 foot 6.

9.) 24 Jun 2022 13:12:47
Most on here will know I'm an advocate of giving youth their chance. However, if we lost those three, we cannot expect boys to step in and take their place. Physically, neither Lowry nor McCann could do it at that level for 60 games or more, so at least one midfield player with an amazing engine and two good feet would have to come in. Hagi won't be close to the team until after the World Cup, which is far too late. As someone else said, Jack, Davis and Arfield don't have a full season between the three of them. And we'd probably need to spend the bulk of our budget to get anywhere near a replacement for Morelos because right now there's nobody else on the books who could do so.

10.) 24 Jun 2022 14:09:18
Think McCann looks ready for a full season as John said anytime I’ve seen him he looks solid and in no way bullied or intimidated by anyone, Lowry to me will have spectacular moments and is a good prospect but need more time to be a first team Regular!

23 Jun 2022 13:23:51
Any1 heard of Brighton interest in kamara?

Onewaltersmith

1.) 23 Jun 2022 13:32:31
There were reportedly after him this time last year.

2.) 23 Jun 2022 13:47:56
A local rag in Brighton reporting interst in him tbh he's 1 we could afford to lose and not be badly affected.

We need to make a decision on players entering final year. Sign or sell either way make a decision I'm sure that's 1 reason we seem to be slow off the mark over new signings gio doesn't know who's going to be around next season.

Gio has been in the job 8/ 9 months surely he'll know by now who he wants or needs. Our squad as it stands will not regain the title so the club need to make money avail.

And what if we don't qualify for CL or win title 2 things this team couldn't do last year. We need to start behaving like a top football club. Realise our assets at the best time refresh squad and improve it where possible. If any player wants to go sell them and reinvest that money.

They're adding players and have young players like abada who'll improve after there first season and we need to improve our 1st 11 to give current guys a kick on as well as fans. Our last big outlay was Kent 3 years ago.
