We have become an utter laughing stock. If Tav and Goldson continue at the club next season we can sit back and enjoy another trophyless season. Morelos' head clearly elsewhere also.

1.) 05 Mar 2020 08:44:07
The blinkered have always backed tav because as they said if its good enough for gerrard its good enough for them. 🤦‍♂️👍.

2.) 05 Mar 2020 08:58:52
I agree about those two. Gerrard says we're short of confidence, we were 2 behind with a game in hand, confidence should have been sky high! Seen an extract of the captains programme comments, disgraceful, he is just confirming that he hasn't got a clue or a captains bone in his body. Wholesale change needed in that team now before it gets even worse, but has SG got the bottle to do it?

3.) 05 Mar 2020 10:38:36
I regularly get slaughtered on here when I said we would win nothing with tav, candaeas, ejaria, fods, Flanagan Holt Halliday Docherty., add to that Edmunson Katic Goldson Davies ojo Barker Stewart hastie et al.
Problem we have is our recruitment is exceptionally poor.
Some names mention re Wilson may be what we need, Ferguson, vydra Douglas mcrorie boys back kamberi and we need two centre half’s to compete with helander who may be slow, but can defend, tackle, heada ball and pass forward.

4.) 05 Mar 2020 12:03:58
John katic is a cracking player, albeit recently not great but it doesn't help confidence when gerrard drops players for no reason which was happening to katic and kamara. You can aribo to your list. 👍.

5.) 05 Mar 2020 12:07:45
You forgot Kamara John.

6.) 05 Mar 2020 14:51:26
Katic may become a cracking player but has a long way to go coldo. Please note I’m saying we won’t win league with him at this stage
Aribo is a very good player who I would keep.
g4 I did not forget kamara he is a very good player who is struggling, watch him for Finland totally different player
End of day we can’t get rid of everyone again.

7.) 05 Mar 2020 15:58:45
Do you think Katic could be tried as defensive midfielder? Could be tough tackling type we might need just now in midfield.

8.) 05 Mar 2020 17:20:31
Katics ex manager said he could play in midfield.

9.) 05 Mar 2020 21:32:54
Katic could be good in the Matic role.

10.) 05 Mar 2020 21:48:24
what we need is a backbone . a spine of solid hard defenders. a midfield dynamo and 2 strong strikers, anything else can be brought in to fit. not one leader in team and we should have at least 6. gough, brown, fergies, coisty, hately, and many more,

Alfie wouldn't have been the boot boy among those men, but rangers have suffered so badly that an ill discipline minded spoilt kid from Colombia, who can't score from 2 centimetres, but gets goals because it would be almost impossible not to in his job, has become a GREAT PLAYER, in some eyes. nonsense, get the money and replace with RANGERS TYPE PLAYERS, before we return to the depths.

11.) 06 Mar 2020 03:06:05
I thought it was just me that thought morelos was rotten. He can't even control the ball. Never scored against That lot but he is somehow our saviour. He looks very heavy since the turn of the year also.

12.) 06 Mar 2020 18:14:59
I think john25 you are being a bit harsh on edmunson. The lad looks our most composed defender. looks strong in the air and in the tackle. Also has an eye for a pass. Add to that he is still young I think given a season to 2 with a decent partner and full back that doesn't have a right wingers starting position he will develop into a decent CB. I would like to see him partner hallander and see how he does. With his mobility and fils reading of the game could work. I would love to see us try a back 4 of
Patterson edmunson hellander barisic

I also think the lad docherty should be given a proper shot with us. He is a box to box midfielder with some engine on him and an eye for goal. Went down south and showed well and his start with hibs this year shows it wasnt a fluke. Again play him with a good standard of player and think he is built for playing in the SPFL.

31 Jan 2020 11:05:47
See vydra deal close so some folk reporting. Would definitely trump kamberi and dykes if true. silly season is class. New rumour every day esp the last day.

1.) 31 Jan 2020 11:56:58
How would Vydra trump Dykes or Kamberi? Has he scored for Burnley this season?

2.) 31 Jan 2020 12:18:17
Stuck, he has played one game at Burnley, this lad is a top striker.

3.) 31 Jan 2020 12:26:14
made 1 start and 8 sub appearances getting only about 25 mins. seems to score for fun in the English championship. Should do good in our league.

4.) 31 Jan 2020 12:34:17
The Stuck. Don’t just focus on his Burnley stats. Look at the bigger picture. Watford and Derby were the teams he was scoring for. Looking at these seasons, both were high up their tables and playing attacking football, by the looks of their stats. Burnley, not so much right now. We’re an attacking him and could suit him perfectly.

5.) 31 Jan 2020 12:55:43
John25, i don't know why you bother mate, surely people should look online before posting the silly comments.

6.) 31 Jan 2020 13:16:10
@thestuck deary me. he's level above kamberi.

7.) 31 Jan 2020 13:41:14
Jesus christ lads. Vydra is 20x the player Kamberi or Dykes are. Would be a great option for us.

8.) 31 Jan 2020 14:33:21
Dykes is the right one, spend the money . He's better than any other mentioned. Rangers have been good to Livingston so it won't be a crazy fee. they could get further loan signings and they've had quite a few recently. Kamberi appears to be a ba' heid.

9.) 31 Jan 2020 14:34:59
Experts on Vydra, but have never heard of him before today.

Save us Jeebus.

10.) 31 Jan 2020 15:26:39
How have folk not heard of vydra.

12 Nov 2019 09:33:01
Talk of docherty moving on in January. The guy has clearly not made the grade ( never thought he would) these rangers FB pages are mad. Guys sayin we should accept no less than 5 million for him. He cannot get near the team and is like 7th choice mid. Half a mill or so and he will be off to a bottom half championship side. Also seen this morning if kamara moves on they may move for ferguson.

1.) 12 Nov 2019 09:42:19
Wish docherty all the best. He has played for the club he loves. But unfortunately o where near standard required.

2.) 12 Nov 2019 10:12:30
A superb move if Docherty goes to the championship , just look at John Fleck .

3.) 12 Nov 2019 10:36:21
Agreed wish Docherty all the best if he moves. Kamara on the other hand why he would want to go to the championship with Leeds when he can be competing for leagues and cups also playing in Europe with us is beyond me. Unless it's all about chasing cash he would be better staying put.

4.) 12 Nov 2019 12:16:45
Bit harsh on Docherty in here - he's never been given a sustained chance, and yet had better stats last season than Aribo (who I guess IS good enough? ) for a worse team in the same division. I don't think he's not good enough, I think he's just not one Gerrard likes. It happens - there are players the manager just never takes to, and I think Docherty is one of them.

5.) 12 Nov 2019 13:37:36
I think he has the potential and engine to get into the team some day.

But its not fair to keep him here as he needs game time in order to develop.

He needs to go but I'd have a decent sell on clause in any deal.

6.) 12 Nov 2019 14:06:43
This post is a bit unfair on Doherty tbh. His situation is basically down to SG's realisation (like many before him), that the Glasgow gold fish bowl is no place to nurture and develop players. Every game is a must win and therefore the manager can't afford to take chances on untested players.

he also has a lot of experience and quality on the bench, players like Defoe. Therefore even when we are comfortably beating teams, these players get their minutes topped up to keep them sharp.

I think like most young players at Rangers (unless they are exceptional), they will need to cut their teeth by going out on loan. Hopefully he can do that in January and come back ready to stake a claim in the future.

If he doesn't succeed then everyone will wish him well but I wouldn't say he isn't good enough because he hasn't had a chance yet.

7.) 12 Nov 2019 14:45:25
It’s a shame young Doc can’t get a chance. he's unlucky that our midfield is so strong but I don’t think the boy Ferguson is that much of an upgrade on him.

8.) 12 Nov 2019 15:12:49
Just my opinion guys. When he originally signed never thot he would cut it. what is he 23 or 24? By now if he was going to be in the plans he would be by now. Better personally for him to move on and play regular football.

9.) 12 Nov 2019 15:21:16
@zikos I get your logic but he's 22 and basically the same age as Ryan Kent, Sheyi Ojo and Joe Aribo (just turned 23) who Stevie's quite happy to select?

Not sure that's the reason at all.

10.) 12 Nov 2019 16:23:03
Not overly keen to sell but if we do then I'd expect a mil for him if we have a decent contract on him. I think what he needs is games.
Is he good enough for us? good question and I think he may be in time, but maybe not in the style SG needs at moment.
A mil to a champ side isn't much.

11.) 12 Nov 2019 17:27:14
He's not any better than what we already have and if we want to improve then we need need better than what we have. At his age he should be knocking on the door and challenging which he isn't, sadly I think this is down to the fact that he just isn't good enough. Wish him all the best. 👍.

12.) 12 Nov 2019 18:13:58
Tend to agree cold, re Docherty, I feel same will happen to Ross McCrorie.

13.) 12 Nov 2019 18:58:59
Yea young Docherty cost us just over half a mill we need to getting near that back mcrorrie season is not going as well as he would like you imagine any fee would be minimal.

14.) 12 Nov 2019 19:54:31
@rfcrb I don’t think it’s a fair comparison tbh. Doherty is competing with experienced internationals for a starting place. When Kent was brought in last year he didn’t have any competition for a starting place and therefore played every week even when off form. That could have been due to lack of competition or a clause in the loan deal that said he had to play x amount of games.

And the same could be said if Ojo. Personally like the boy but don’t think he is good enough to get a game atm. If he was a Rangers player and didn’t have any playing clauses I don’t think he would be near the squad.

I think given a sustained chance the boy would come good. You only have to look at Barry Ferguson who was extremely close to leaving before Advocaat arrived and game him his chance as an example of how fortunes in football can change so quickly.

15.) 12 Nov 2019 20:36:51
Mac bow, Leeds rumour 3 million.

16.) 12 Nov 2019 23:05:30
Like many others before him, Docherty has found the final step up too high. He's a decent player who will make a good living at the game, but not here. I also believe he will be better than 'lower half championship' and I wish him well.

17.) 12 Nov 2019 23:25:09
Looks likely john👍.

18.) 12 Nov 2019 23:26:58
Docherty could be anything hard to judge not had a run of games to judge him just the odd sub appearance few months back.

19.) 12 Nov 2019 23:28:46
so if kamara goes wouldn't Docherty be back up.

20.) 13 Nov 2019 05:26:09
Eric if kamara went he would still then be 6th choice. And then back to 7th if rumours are true about lewis ferguson coming in for kamara.

21.) 13 Nov 2019 06:58:03
Did Excellent last year out on loan in league one . Played in the same league as Aribo and had better stats playing for a worse side. I personally think the wee man has something about him but for some reason SG just doesn’t like him, could be a personality thing .
What’s he worth the now? Maybe 1M? I think loan him out again to a championship club and if he stands out like he did last year in league1 then you could be asking for 5mill in the summer .
Or loan him to the sheep for 6months as part of a deal for Lewis Ferguson maybe then Aberdeen will at least have a player that will try against the manky mob.

22.) 13 Nov 2019 14:41:24
Am I the only few that wants Docherty to stay? If we get around 2m for him then fine (it's what he is worth) Maybe some day he will return and prove a point!

23.) 13 Nov 2019 20:07:40
Docherty and Aribo are not good enough! Although Aribo is the more skilful of the two.

24.) 13 Nov 2019 21:26:33
It’s strange someone posted that the “ Glasgow goldfish bowl is nowhere to play youth, well selling have been doing that for years, have they not

25.) 14 Nov 2019 12:19:56
I'd probs be wanting somewhere in the region of 1m for Docherty even if he isn't in the picture. Or a smaller fee with a large sell on.

26.) 16 Nov 2019 15:27:21
@daisy yore:

the 'final step up'?! - he's playing in the same division we signed him from, the SPL! Did great in this division for Hamilton, that's why we signed him. He has absolutely never been given a chance to actually show if he's good enough for Rangers or not, not under this manager.

It's ridiculous to criticise his ability when he's made next to no starts under Gerrard.

07 Oct 2019 14:48:10
Any updates on jack kent and jones? Would be fantastic to be back to full strength after international break. Kent jones and morelos in front 3 would terrorise defenders.

1.) 07 Oct 2019 15:51:49
Jack and Kent should be available after the international break with Jones not far behind.

2.) 08 Oct 2019 17:01:50
I think this last few matches have really shown the quality we have as a squad. Jones will have to work hard to get back into the side now.
Excited to see Kent finally get back to tearing defences apart.

3.) 08 Oct 2019 19:27:25
Apparently Kent and Ojo have a great understanding and terrorised teams when playing at Liverpool.

4.) 08 Oct 2019 19:55:05
According to lfc site both have not played together since 2015 as they have been out on loan to various different teams.
Enlighten us where they played together Bankie.

5.) 08 Oct 2019 20:38:47
John25, passing on what I’ve been told by a mate who is a Liverpool fan. According to him as a combination they will create havoc up here Looking forward to seeing them in same team with Morelos.

6.) 08 Oct 2019 21:00:59
Cool Bankie they did not do it together for Liverpool.

7.) 08 Oct 2019 21:39:28
John25, think they played together at the age groups.

8.) 09 Oct 2019 04:32:26
they played under 18. sure if you watch kents goals on youtube you see ojo and kent linking up very well think it should be good to see what happens now as said been out on loan away from Liverpool for couple of seasons so hope they still have that spark together.

9.) 09 Oct 2019 08:49:29
Cannot understand why Ojo alia Ohno would suddenly turn into a decent player just because Kent is playing on the other wing. You either have it or you dont, and Ohno hasn't got it. He is an okay player but not great.

10.) 09 Oct 2019 09:47:42
Bankie go look at when they signed ojo.

11.) 09 Oct 2019 12:40:40
John25, when did they sign him?

12.) 09 Oct 2019 13:29:13
John 25 they played together 😂😂😂 a dunno why your arguing this moot point. Go watch youtube videos you will see them both playing and linkin well together. even if there both on loan to clubs that loan ends and they both go back to liverpool for a period before again going out on loan. Plus ojo himself has came out just as we were signing kent and said he couldn't wait to play with kent again to terrorise teams.

13.) 09 Oct 2019 13:34:58
John25 ojo said in an interview with the record they had a telepathy together on the park. It also says they both played for the liverpool youth for the past 5 years.

14.) 09 Oct 2019 14:01:19
The mite point is they signed as kids, fro 17 went there own way on loan and played less than ten games together, we r trying to make them something they r not.

15.) 09 Oct 2019 16:15:38
So uve just had yer bum skelped and you come bavk with that? It doesn't matter when they both signed they both played together in games plus before we got ojo they were at liverpool After kent went bk. ojo is a good player he's still trying to get a grip if the pace of it up here. It took kent a good while to get going and he's better on the right wing. He can cut in and shoot he rarely hits the byline so with him and tav one side and kent and borna the other it brings good balance and attacking down both sides.

16.) 09 Oct 2019 18:16:06
Boogie never got my bum skelped, I actually like hankies posts they r normally good and informative.
I have followed Liverpool as my English team and simply ask when they played together on a regular basis in same team.
It simply asks how many.
I have no issue with either player. U go and research and prove me factually incorrect, we r here to learn
Also reason I came back with when they signed was a response to Bankie question.

17.) 09 Oct 2019 19:37:20
John25. Kent and Ojo played together over a 5 year period in young Liverpool teams where they “created havoc” before signing full time professional contracts at the club. We know neither player made the breakthrough into the senior team at Liverpool hence the reason, with SG’s influence, we have them at Ibrox. Really looking forward to seeing them reunited in a few weeks in same starting 11.

18.) 09 Oct 2019 21:05:11
Cool Bankie. I personally don’t look at pre 17, we had guys like Dallas, Hardie mckay etc destroyed teams at youth level, now struggle for a game.
I do feel Kent and ojo r useful addition to squad orteam.

19.) 09 Oct 2019 21:43:16
Ojo saying he has a telepathy with kent is an insult to kent. I have yet to see ojo tear a defence apart👍.

20.) 10 Oct 2019 05:52:15
Why all the Ojo bashing? Yes he is inconsistent, can not do much in a game but he does score and assist.

He's young and here to learn and develop, unfortunately that is part of signing young lads on loan.

21.) 10 Oct 2019 12:43:12
Ojo done more in a few weeks than Kent done over a full season some fans are ridiculous because Kent slapped brown they can’t see past it he went ****in ages without scoring or assisting last season lol.

22.) 10 Oct 2019 13:41:08
Guys I am not bashing ojo, I’m simply questioning the post and level of games he has played alongside Kent.

23.) 10 Oct 2019 20:22:51
I'll bash him jboy, ojo is a passenger and once kent and jones are back, he'll be benched unless gerrard was daft enough to have a clause in the loan where he has to play ojo x amount of games. Worrall all over again. Not good enough for us. 👍.

24.) 11 Oct 2019 12:14:10
Scored magnificent goal against Feyenoord to secure Europa League points.

25.) 11 Oct 2019 12:46:44
Mckay scored a belter against celtic🤷‍♂️👍.

26.) 11 Oct 2019 16:50:11
Agreed Coldo, that was a belter and got us into Cup Final.

27.) 11 Oct 2019 20:30:19
the play OJO adverts on TV must be driving you insane lol.

28.) 11 Oct 2019 20:33:45
Pity he wasn't good enough for cup final level🤷‍♂️👍.

15 Sep 2019 07:13:09
Is flanagan injured how long for? Barasic will surely play on Thursday. Not sure i can take much more of Halliday left back.

1.) 15 Sep 2019 09:12:36
And people on here were posting yesterday he's our best left back! Delusional!

2.) 15 Sep 2019 12:16:17
Whats wrong with you people? Halliday was linking well with Kent for as long as it lasted and if anything it was the centre of our defense that was week, Arfield gave away a stupid pen and Morelos had an off day yet still you find time to post about a player who done his job yesterday. We won 3-1 for goodness sake.

3.) 15 Sep 2019 12:24:28
Andy is as honest as they come but limited as a makeshift left back.

4.) 15 Sep 2019 12:37:20
JYF he's not a left back. End of. He wasnt linking at all with Kent. 5 yard passes here and there.

5.) 15 Sep 2019 12:38:28
Tell me what you expect from our left backs, tierney went for 25mil yet got destroyed by every European team he came up against, how much better is he than Halliday and Barasic?

6.) 15 Sep 2019 12:46:54
Halliday will never be a popular player. But he rarely let's us down and gives us more than some other imposters in our shirt do.

7.) 15 Sep 2019 14:12:58
He was very very lucky yesterday the ref gave a foul for his howler.

8.) 15 Sep 2019 14:16:18
Here was me thinking that the Andy Halliday bashers were gone, but they have all just been on a short holiday. GET OFF HIS BACK FOR FU#K SAKE. The guy gives, and always has given 110% for our club. He is never posted missing (like some others) and all some of you can do is give him grief.

9.) 15 Sep 2019 14:25:21
When you look at how little Aribo, Goldson, Barisic and Arfield are currently giving us, to name just four, it's surprising that it's Halliday that gets the abuse.

10.) 15 Sep 2019 14:34:06
Do you really think Aribo, Goldson, Barisic and Arfield are 'imposters' rfcrb1872?

11.) 15 Sep 2019 14:59:16
I’d give 110% for the jersey too but I’d still be pish so I don’t see how that’s relevant.

12.) 15 Sep 2019 15:09:11
Halliday is not a natural left fullback. However, he does a decent job filling in there in times of need. Until we get a player that can make the position his own, then Halliday is a decent option. Barasic looked a great buy 12 months ago, but seems to be unable to play consistently.
Until the next transfer window we need to support them both.

13.) 15 Sep 2019 16:31:02
You didn't think that was a foul then paul86? Says it all!

14.) 15 Sep 2019 18:51:12
What's this 100% for the club crap? I'm not buying that. I don't hate or dislike Halliday but the end of the day he's not good enough. SG shouldn't be playing him.

15.) 15 Sep 2019 19:05:49
Rangers have lost one and drew one game this season and Halliday played in neither! What more do you guys want?

16.) 15 Sep 2019 19:48:06
Andy Halliday is a good utility player and is clearly committed but if he is to be our first choice left back we will never win the league.

17.) 15 Sep 2019 19:55:41
thought he bossed the first half hour as some one making a statement to his manager.

18.) 15 Sep 2019 20:03:54
Think its time to start playing edmondson and hilander.

19.) 15 Sep 2019 20:08:53
Halliday is rank rotten period.
Also if people Think we can win things with him playing left back then they should stop watching football as they know nothing.
He was extremely lucky the ref gave a foul against Dykes because it was never a foul just Halliday being his usual crap self.

Also SG should hang his head in shame at starting kent terrible decision.

20.) 15 Sep 2019 20:10:13
Jyf catch yourself on you trying to say barisic and halliday 25 million pound players 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

21.) 16 Sep 2019 03:09:38
@MrGrumpy, in the case of Goldson, Aribo and Barisic, yes. Goldson has been living on the goodwill of his early season last year for almost 18 months, and Barisic is a completely different player for Croatia than for us. Aribo has been absolutely average so far.

Arfield isn't an imposter, in terms of the effort, but he needs a rest and isn't producing this season. That said I happen to know he's not a Rangers fan. And if you have any doubt, I challenge anyone reading this to find him quoting that he is. And 'playing for this badge' doesn't count. He's not one of us, but he does put in the effort we expect of one of us so he's actually one of my favourite players.

22.) 16 Sep 2019 09:58:05
What your talking about is form surely? and that's just someones opinion. Calling out players as imposters, suggests you think they're somehow cheating/ being dishonest and that's bang out of order.

23.) 16 Sep 2019 10:41:47
Goldson, Aribo and Barisic are doing just fine - if you stopped booing your own team, maybe they'd play a bit better? We have lost ONE GAME so far this season, perhaps a reality check is called for?

24.) 16 Sep 2019 18:44:50
Barisic needs a run of games and I don’t mean 2 or 3 then out. a dozen games and if he doesn’t perform punt him in Jan. Halliday isn’t the answer at LB.

25.) 17 Sep 2019 02:16:30
Grumpy, you used the word 'imposter', not me. I only used my own interpretation, which was clearly about form. You raised the issue of cheating or dishonesty all on your own.

My conscience is utterly clear.

26.) 17 Sep 2019 02:18:09
Souness; goldson aribo and barisic are doing just fine?

No they utterly aren't! Let's be serious! Davis, Katic, McGregor, Morelos - they're doing fine or better than fine.

To claim Goldson aribo and barisic are playing anything other than utterly average or worse for us is patently false.

27.) 17 Sep 2019 08:01:18

rfcrb1872, Arfield is indeed a Rangers fan, he is one of us and this has been recorded several times. In fact his previous manager Sean Dyche said that when Rangers came for him it was a no brainer because he was a lifelong Gers fan and was desperate to sign.

29.) 17 Sep 2019 12:04:02
Gotta agree with the comments about Goodson. Seems to get much more slack than any other player in our team. he's a decent defender and reads the game well, but he throws in sloppy errors. Arfield needs a rest, definitely looks a little jaded to me. Aribo has shown in flashes what he is capable of and I'm convinced he will come good when adjusts to the rigours of our league. Barasic, I want him to do well but how many chances will he be given before we cut our losses. His left foot is a wand and his set pieces are great but needs to find form and get a good run of games.

30.) 17 Sep 2019 14:45:32
you mentioned the word 'imposter' in an earlier post rfcrb1872. Check what the word 'imposter' means in the dictionary. If we're talking about form, fair enough. I personally don't think Goldson has been great this season.

Great interview 4lad done with one of the brothers from Castore. The deal is infact 3mill up front every year. Rising depend on how much stock we can shift. Can see these new tops being proper class. Hopefully get a release date soon enough.

1.) 20 May 2020 13:58:41
So its no 20mill sounds more like 12mill.

2.) 20 May 2020 14:20:40
Digerati five year deal three million up front equals 15 million
Then a fee for every top sold.

3.) 20 May 2020 15:36:28
They said if we sell a lot like record numbers there's no reason why the club cannot make between 7 and 9 mill a season.

4.) 20 May 2020 16:16:17
3 mill minimum rising to 5 with a top line ability to reach 9 per year depending on sales . No Penalty in merchandise not sold like is the norm with Nike, Add etc .
Fingers crossed it looks promising . Elite strip, and run of the mill strip to ge sold.

5.) 20 May 2020 16:17:36
That sounds better would be great if we could make 9mill a season also i thaught it was a 4year deal n not 5year.

6.) 20 May 2020 16:58:08
Digest u r right re nine million, that’s down to demand, quality and marketing
Suspect we will do well to hit six.

7.) 20 May 2020 17:58:01
Its a 5 year deal with castore so going on your assumption it would b a £15million deal not £12million. The deal will be easily £5million + per year! It will be the biggest kit deal in scottish football, so stop being negative and try and be happy, as this is a cracking deal and we're moving forward!

8.) 20 May 2020 18:05:49
Molsgoals, i read yesterday there will be no difference between the top the players wear and the tops sold to us, exact same, it was on 4 lads site, mate.

9.) 20 May 2020 18:41:16
Paulellen we will have a choice as molsgoals stated.

10.) 21 May 2020 10:39:56
John25, sorry. You've lost me mate, a choice of what, pal.

04 May 2020 21:27:24
All over facebook and lads in here believing some wee tim who still stays with his mum that ashley is a shareholder in castore. Without actually doing a bit of digging themselves. 🤣.

1.) 04 May 2020 21:45:52
Agreed Paul. There is no connection. Ashley has absolutely nothing to do with Castore. It’s brilliant though as the dark side are mocking this even though it’s potentially a profitable deal and decent gear. I couldn’t care less as long as the kit lols good and they can make enough to sell at a decent price to meet demand. Credit where it’s due, Celtic have an excellent commercial team but it’s starting to show that we do too.

2.) 04 May 2020 22:32:26
What i will say with reading and seeing what castore churn out since we were linked with them becoming our new kit makers on saturday there, our kits will be quality made.
I don't think there's any doubt about that, although i just hope the kits are not too expensive and priced decently for all our wonderful supporters to buy and wear with pride! 👍. The castore merchandise looks class and when you also have andy murray saying the castore tennis gear he now wears is better than anything he's ever worn.
That list includes better quality than his former sportswear makers of adidas, fred perry and under armour.
Says it all really and i look forward to when we can see the designs and buy them.

3.) 04 May 2020 22:53:21
Coops I know I hatp on at your comments sometimes but do you honestly think that under armour or adidas were going to keep paying andy vasts sums of money. He has went from 1 to 150 in the last few year and very unlikely to return. Let's be honest here its maybe good quality but they are not in the same league as nike under armour new balance or Adidas.

4.) 05 May 2020 01:42:21
I can see the kits being averaged priced with the company hoping it gives them exposure 👍.

5.) 05 May 2020 08:06:44
Fauldhouse bear, they are maybe not as well known as the the four you mention, but i'd imagine the quality will put those four to shame, pal.

6.) 05 May 2020 08:50:30
He is hardly going to say anything different coop 🤣 paid millions off a company to wear their gear but says he prefers the old stuff. Wouldn't happen mate.

7.) 05 May 2020 08:55:43
Fauldhouse Bear, I believe that in the current economic climate, that a smaller, but quality supplier is better for us. Just look at the news that Adidas is in financial turmoil as a result of this pandemic, and then compare that to us being this Company's biggest customer probably, it's a very good addition I feel, and I can't wait for the official announcement.

8.) 05 May 2020 09:37:12
Fauldhoose bear, in no way am i saying that castore are currently bigger than adidas, nike, new balance,
under armour etc, i'm talking about the quality of their garments. Andy Murray stated that castore is the best quality sportswear gear he's ever had! He/ I are not saying their bigger than these big sportswear brands. You need to differentiate to what i'm getting at here mate! I'll tell you one thing, the castore brothers seem very ambitious and are similar to become the best brand globally, that's what they stated and quality can help them enormously on that road. I remember when under armour broke into the football kit manufacturing business, a few years back now and there were questions about could they survive and get anywhere near the bigger sportswear brands. Look at them now. I remember even way further back when nike broke into the football kit manufacturing and arsenal were the first british club to have nike as kit suppliers. They are now for me,
even the biggest on football kit manufacturing and were the biggest at everything else before breaking into the football side of things!

{Ed001's Note - you have to remember Under Armour are only where they are through luck. Nike messed up negotiations with a basketball player named Steph Curry before he hit the big time, they didn't even pitch him a deal with his name on, they had the wrong name on a lot of the paperwork they showed him! So he signed with Under Armour for a significant amount less, then blew up and became the biggest selling sports star in the world. He sold more shoes than anyone just after they signed him and it launched them as a brand, where before they were struggling to establish themselves. Castore will need a similar slice of luck or a lot more investment of time and/or money.}

9.) 05 May 2020 13:52:48
i'm in the us and would hardly say under armour were struggling before steph curry. pretty much the go to brand for the winter working type of clothing and practically single handedly created market here.

03 May 2020 16:27:58
Are we in for another major rebuild for next season or just need to tweek it here and there? Suppose it all depends on departures. Would be amazed if morelos or barisic were still at the club when next season starts up as much needed finance will come from them 2 sales circa 25mill conbined realistically.

1.) 03 May 2020 23:21:16
Paul86, we don't need to sell anybody mate, now that ashley is away i seen there are lots of diffrent companies looking to invest in our club, plus the money from selling kits, there will be an amazing amounts of rangers tops sold world wide, now that we know ashley dorsnt get a bean from us, i expect us to put in a better league performence, next season.

2.) 03 May 2020 23:22:08
28 mill
U serious?

3.) 04 May 2020 01:36:40
Paulellen I've posted on the financal page many a time about the amount of money that can be made from selling strips/ mechandise. Over half the money goes to the retailer ie the shop selling the strip/ mechandise. So the £60 for a top is divided up roughly 55—60% to the shop selling it, 15-20% to distribution storage, 20-30% to the manufacturer. Out of the 20-30% the cost of design, and production of the top, so out of the 60 quid we would only get pennies. We would get a up front payment of £2—3m per season and pennies on each top sold over a certain number. As I've said before the big money is in owing the shops (ie like Liverpool, man u, and the eastend mob) and selling straight to your fan base, not fans buying from JD, SD (yuk) and the likes.

4.) 04 May 2020 08:27:45
Pennies for each top is nonsense, that's what happened under SD . We will be selling our tops through our stores and selling the rights to sell them to other stores.

5.) 04 May 2020 08:59:50
Isle of mull, unless i'm mistaken did james bisgrove not say we will now own our own megastore again and the club are looking at opening more club official stores again in glasgow and other places.

6.) 04 May 2020 11:05:36
Isle of mull . I don't think that will be happening in our case, WE are refurbishing the Ibrox superstore, we have the store in the city centre and one in Belfast I think? Also I have heard that we are trying to open stores in Hong kong, America etc. hope its true.

7.) 04 May 2020 11:06:55
IOM, you occasionally make sense, suggest you make yourself informed on subject and come back with revised projections.

8.) 04 May 2020 11:20:57
IOM still peddling the same old?

You have been proved wrong again with your doom and gloom predictions.

Take some happy pills and celebrate the end of our Cashley and Sports Direct troubles.

Whilst you are at it, give Dave King some credit for leading us back.

9.) 04 May 2020 11:37:05
Ashely has a stake in Castore as well.

10.) 04 May 2020 11:34:24
Guys, I think we all agree on one thing, and that is, hopefully we are now in total control of our Retail Business, and from July onwards, we will start to see significant funds coming in over the following year and beyond. Where I agree with IOM, is that the current financial position is unknown to us, and, it would help if we knew that sufficient funding was in place to cover the immediate future under this lockdown situation. I see the media, and the usual suspects filling the papers again today saying that the season needs to end now, I agree, but that doesn't mean that titles or relegation should be assumed, after all they are all discussing a League Restructuring Plan, has to be long term, short term wouldn't be of any use. I couldn't care less about Old Firm games, twice a season would suffice, against anyone.

11.) 04 May 2020 11:36:07
Tiiladie said 25 not 28. i think 25mill is realistic price for both of them combined yeah. Barisic probably more likely to be away than morelos with all morelos reds etc team will be put off.

12.) 04 May 2020 12:11:07
Big Blue Bear, you’ve just blown any lingering credibility you had with that comment. Unless that was tongue in cheek. Otherwise please entertain us and tell us how you came up with this. Incredible that anyone would waste their time posting this but I do pity you. That’s not me shooting down a rumour incidentally, it’s shutting down negativity intended to divide and annoy. You fail on both accounts.

13.) 04 May 2020 13:00:29
As big DJ alway said 'it's all ifs, buts and maybes.

14.) 04 May 2020 13:20:33
IOM, poor attempt thought you were better than that.

15.) 04 May 2020 14:20:31
IOM, your posts are definitely more positive and lot make a lot of sense. I no you have the club at heart and you seem more hopeful about the future ✌️✌️✌️🇬🇧.

16.) 04 May 2020 15:42:22
Think 25m mentioned and not unreasonable. Given money from young Billy, relatively tried/ untested multiplied twice plus more given both, are proven talents u could easily talk 30m plus.

17.) 04 May 2020 16:12:58
Iom, 20 million equals, 4 million a year, that's without our commission, mate, nearly catching up with your lot.

18.) 04 May 2020 16:41:12
Big blue bear, comments like the above from you in regards shares makes you sound as bad and bitter as our friends from the east. mate, are you sure you support rangers fc pal.

19.) 05 May 2020 23:27:33
I. o. m. now that I've had a look at your post again, i recon your way out saying the retailor makes over half the money for the dhirt, i don't agree with that, the shpo either buy to mske a few pound profit, or earn on a commition, ie more sale more profit.

02 May 2020 13:28:37
So what's everybodys view on new heavily rumoured kit supplier Castore? Links to the water that gerrard punts. never heard of them myself, they seem more fashion brand. Hoodies are 165 in harrods etc. Aslong as they give us decent coin and the best deal possible.

1.) 02 May 2020 14:43:29
Never heard of them either mate.
Apparently Andy Murray and McLaren F1 are investors in them.
Big question is - will they be able to keep up with demand?

2.) 02 May 2020 14:46:43
If true I think it’s very interesting and could be commercially attractive.

3.) 02 May 2020 14:54:01
Castore's aim is to break into football kit manufacturing and become the best globally. If indeed castore is our new kit makers then we will b the first club in scotland/ britain, to have them as kit manufacturers, which is unique and something completely different! 👍
As we all know our tennis great scot andy murray is sponsored/ supplied by castore. Their stuff looks quality and really good, hope though our kits by castore are not too expensive for our supporters to buy, as the merchandise they currently make is expensive.

4.) 02 May 2020 15:08:36
SGL would be hoping commercially its better than the 10 mill over 3 years hummel had on the table for us. can't see it tho. Some of there stuff looks alright. Pricey like you say for sportswear.

5.) 02 May 2020 15:44:12
All positive guys but it let's you know that we struggled to get anyone as our kit supplier, Bet you the Tim’s are making 4 times the cash😡😡😡.

6.) 02 May 2020 16:06:47
Lets wait and see if indeed it is castore who become our new kit makers and the money on offer on the duration of the contract. Yately01,
i'd imagine with james bisgrove as our commercial/ marketing director now, that this indeed will be a good deal money wise for our club! 👍 We'll need to see what the full deal entails in structure of kit sales and percentages etc mate!

7.) 02 May 2020 16:14:43
Yately01,i've just read an article mate stating that the new kit deal eclipses the hummel deal significantly and the deal is into 8 figures! It doesn't yet state the length of the deal! 👍.

8.) 02 May 2020 16:22:56
But what happened to New Balance coop? 😁.

9.) 02 May 2020 17:14:06
Personally quite excited if it is Casotre. Will be very interested to see the design of the tops and other gear. I like the Hummel tops but not a great fan of the grey tracky or in fact any of the grey stuff.

10.) 02 May 2020 17:19:02
Castore is a smokescreen. Wait and see what the club announce. Megastore will be jumping. Commercial partners will know the value if SD are out the way too. If we can sell in the store and online, in JD and the like, and internationally, manufacturers will know they can sell millions. We should refuse to deal with SD and not permit them to sell our kit at any point.

11.) 02 May 2020 17:19:33
Just a little underwhelming Coop and I thought we could have got better✌️✌️.

12.) 02 May 2020 18:05:04
Not sure about it being 7 figure sum. hummels was it was 10 mill. resd on castore website they have just raised 7.5 mill to branch out.

13.) 02 May 2020 18:16:50
Think Coops said 8 figures, will depend on volume and value of sales.

14.) 02 May 2020 19:38:47
Castore has less than five years' experience in the market, they might struggle to raise the sort of capital required to run an operation of the size we should be envisaging. It is mainly a digital setup with a couple of flagship stores so it would have to alter its trading outlook somewhat.
However, the two founding brothers seem to have that special something about them, taking on the big guns at the top end of a cutthroat market and sometimes young, vibrant, innovative organisations get away with flying on a wing and a prayer, and with the hundreds of thousands of fans we have worldwide as a potential purchasing base, this could - just could - be the beginning of a beautiful friendship.

15.) 02 May 2020 22:47:40
Ibrox4Me, if you think castore is a smokescreen, then who do you think is going to be our new kit manufacturers mate? 🤔🤔.

16.) 03 May 2020 02:52:14
Well SGL Ibrox for me, said it might be a smokescreen can't he have a guess as well. Afterall you have went thought the full sport manufacturers catalogue--new balance, Nike, under armour etc etc- even though we are not all in the loop like yourself surely we are allowed a guess on a rumour site.

17.) 03 May 2020 07:46:20
Most definitely Isle of mull 1.I'm not having a pop pal! 👍.

18.) 03 May 2020 07:58:05
Morning Folks, I am having a good wee chuckle today at all of the expert comments on our potential Retail Partner, lol. I am a bit worried that we are paying for James Bisgrove, a proven talent in this field. Let's just wait and see what happens, we've had everyone from Nike, to New Balance etc mentioned, we won't know until James' announces it, stay well everyone.

19.) 03 May 2020 09:34:04
I'm more interested who's wearing the jersey than making them.

16 Apr 2020 12:53:22
Just got a letter from asda car park back of broomloan from 2018. baliffs this time though from england. Can only presume with this virus and lack of fines coming in they have decided to chase up old ones. Wondering if anybody else has had one through?

1.) 16 Apr 2020 13:00:42
I've had loads of them from that Asda, Paul. They all go right i'm the bottom of the bin!

2.) 16 Apr 2020 13:08:31
Yeah av had a few over the years mate and always went right in the bin but this letter is different. Its from the baliffs off the telly programme. High court enforcement. can't pay we will take it away haha. didn't think the were legal up in scotland?

3.) 16 Apr 2020 14:31:42
Defo not legal in Scotland probs just using company In hope of scaring people to pay.

4.) 16 Apr 2020 14:32:26
Paul putin bin, do not make any contact with them, that’s the important bit.

5.) 16 Apr 2020 14:33:45
Paul just read last bit off your post. legislation has changed in Scotland, but sure it was after 2018
Google it.

6.) 16 Apr 2020 14:50:46
If its an Asda private car park and not a council car park then then you have not committed an offence. If it was council or Police (double yellow on a road) then you would have to pay or face criminal proceedings. However as Asda is neither you have not broken any law just not keep up with part of the contract you agree to fulfill when you enter a private car park. This is civil law not criminal law and is not a police matter.

The car park owner/ operator will chase you for the fine at first and offer a reduction if payed within 14 days, if that fails they pass to a debt recovery company who will turn up the heat, implying they will do this and that but have no power at all and can only go back to the owner/ operator and advise they couldn't recover the breech of contract.

It would then be up to the owner/ operator to take you to civil court where you would have to show why your not paying the breach of contract fee, unless you have a valid reason, it would go against you with probably a hefty fine levy by the court. They have taken folks to court before as an example and usually the debt recovery firm will fly this flag to scare you with an example but it is highly unlikely court will ever happen.

If you keep ignoring nothing will happen unless as I said they take you to court. This only applies in Scotland. FYI there is a bill going through SCO GOV to regulate this industry to stop this type of thing. Hope that helps. PS valid reason means valid reason not it wasn't me gov. If the signs were poor or obscured this would be a valid reason.

7.) 16 Apr 2020 15:44:31
Paul86, have none of your mates got any wild dogs mate, if so get a loan off them then let the dogs run about in the front garden. i'd imagine that will work, lol,

8.) 16 Apr 2020 15:52:27
I was a manager in Morrisons for years they can’t enforce any supermarket car park parking tickets in Scotland so as the guys said. bin it!

9.) 16 Apr 2020 16:09:31
Think this sounds like a virus scam, there is supposed to be a lot of it about.

{Ed033's Note - Yes, there's a virus scam about for sure.

10.) 16 Apr 2020 16:55:49
Paul86, as tjbb has pointed out mate, its a private car park, there's nowt they can do, I've had about ten stuck on windscreen up at the forte, I've took the ticket off the window and threw it away in front of these parking ticket men, what can they do? ,

11.) 16 Apr 2020 17:24:25
Cheers for all the info guys.

12.) 17 Apr 2020 06:45:02
Get them in ayr all the time when I leave the car in fat Mike's sports direct car park. Wipe your arse with it mate had at least a dozen in last couple of years, would cost them more than the fines worth to go to civil court, the letters only go out as it would amaze you the amount of people who get scared into paying. It's an absolute racket mate.

13.) 17 Apr 2020 13:13:36
Herwego55, the way it works is they threating the car owner with court costs, and some do pay there daft fines, but these car park companies think to themselfs . if we can't get a score of these drivers what chance have we got of getting court case money from them? if any of these companies where daft enough to take anybody to court, the defendent would offer to pay the court money at fifty pence a week, as that's all you can afford, that's like 26 pound a year, how many years would it take to pay the debt, ', achccce just forget it, lol, that's about the just of it mate, take it from this auld heed, blank the fine, paul.

Laudrup nobody knows what are budget is yet. We have spent 10 mill give or take each of last 2 seasons. If morelos kamara and possibly barisic go. That would bring in in my opinion about 25mill. On top of new shirt deal and europa money etc. New investment supposedly. So yeah i would like us to bring in a proper proven goalscorer. We cannot afford any slip ups this year.

Terrible for losing the ball in key areas. lost game to hearts. got jack sent off v young boys. passes to braga players at ibrox more than he did he own players to name a few. Looks tidy on the ball when playinf well but my god when he makes a mistake there usually belters. Poss can't handle the pressure. Would be happy to see him leave.

Both dykes or cosgrove could come in as a back up striker that's about it. If your talkin about them replacing morelos as number 1 striker be aswel handing celtic another treble now. Some team were going to have eh? Doc and ferguson in middle with dykes and cosgrove up front. Were ment to move forward each season not backwards.
