Fantastic result and trust the Manager will start changing out players as soon as they are obviously having a bad day.

At this time of need I feel I can pass on some advice to SG.
Having managed the Bellahouston Former Pupils 'B' team in the 1950's - (Don Kitchenbrand era), I had problems keeping the team spirit up due to having to deal with a star player who at times simply didn't turn up etc.
In our case our star has now reached that point where his need for praise renders everything else a poor second and makes Team Spirit impossible to achieve.

Steve has to bite the bullet and stop giving him preference. To me that red card indicates he has no feelings for the team or indeed the supporters.

Very sad I know but to me its the Star or the team.

Good post perhaps the contunual new and improved contracts for morelos are causing problems in the camp. Time to let him go and reinvest the money.

2.) 13 Feb 2020 15:11:19
Who got red card?

3.) 13 Feb 2020 16:39:06
Sorry I intended to say red card contribution but anyway my real intent was to cheer us up. Look at my managing experience. Cheers.

But if we don't receive genuine bids what money are we going to 'reinvest'?

This really looks like crunch time with Ashley having to show more of his many cards after the SFA rebuff. We can be sure he will do something to circumvent the 10% limit but what? Wait a minute, if he can get some Patsy to buy heavily that might work. Long term there must be a company out there who would produce red & black strips with say the Govan High School badge on it. We would all know what it was.
In any case time is now critical and in my view, three things need to happen without delay if we are to get back on track.
1) The SFA rules not only limit shareholding to a maximum of 10% but do not permit influence over the Club’s business. What are they going to do regarding him setting up and controlling the Board in return for a £3M loan while the same Board refuse all offers of better financial assistance. The SFA must be aware that (other than this season), Rangers contribute approximately 50% of the paid attendance at all matches in Scotland. They need the fans back.
2) The new Shareholders must put all the pressure they can on the Board with a view to replacing all or most of them. If they could also do something to repay Ashley’s loans that would be icing on the cake.
3) However the key to completing the attempted break through lies with us. We all know how important pride and confidence is in making a team successful. What is needed is for fan fragmentation to be reversed and the various groups, each claiming to be the REAL Rangers supporters get real and rejoin the Rangers Fans. Fans stick with their team through thick & thin and this has not been happening.
What needs to happen is for our Support to be bigger than the home team’s at away matches and for 45,000 to be again cheering and egging on the team at Ibrox. Cheering every decent pass or tackle and getting behind them. There is a fair bit of talent there and we need them to feel proud to show it. That is the quickest and cheapest way of getting a team that, even if they don’t catch Hearts, will confidently get through the play offs. It will also bring in enough funds to cover costs and reduce or eliminate the need for Ashley, s petty cash with all it conditions

1.) Sorry you are 100% wrong giving them any more money is insane starving them out is the only answer

redsox555

2.) Another of the head in the sand brigade. We cannot give these rats another penny. The fact that they are knocking equerry sensible offer back and stating " thanks but no thanks, but if you want you can give us your money and we will look after it, after all we have done a great job over the last couple of years with not wasting money. haven't we?) Why anyone could possibly think that by spending money in or going to Ibrox is absolutely beyond me. NOT A PENNY MORE. NO TICKETS NO PIES NO PROGRAMMES NO MERCHANDISE EVERYONE CANCEL THE RTV SUBSCRIPTION ETC ETC ETC Mike Ashley is the playground bully and you guys are still advocating just go and give him your sweeties??? c'mon wake up!

3.) 100% agree - only way to get rid is to start them out.

4.) Down at Newcastle recently, I can tell you, they despise Mike Ashley, as they say he, s only there to line his own pockets, as one told me look around the stadium, (sports direct), and wonga. com, wouldn't surprise me if he was a major shareholder with them as well, not to be trusted

We now know his throat slash meant he was finished with Rangers and since that time he seems to be hell bent on ridiculing the Manager.
He should be reminded that his excellent record in helping the poor in his home country has come from the pockets of the 50K Rangers supporters.
I think we can forget ever getting a large sum of money for him and fine him the maximum possible for sitting at home every week.

Zalelom is a fantastic player - no doubt whatsoever and was really missed in the earlier part of the game. Yes he should have scored and yes he is scared to shoot but he restores my faith in the true footballer and I could watch him all night on the ball. We missed him yesterday at the beginning and it is only a matter of time until he has the confidence to actually score and take off from there. We will be boasting of our association with him for years to come.
That he came on proved there is faith at the top, and that together with the Celtic result, have left me celebrating more than I have in a long time.

Thought the Manager should have rested Kent. He was obviously knackered and is off the boil. That to me at least was the biggest problem tonight. It seemed to demoralise the rest.
That being said we have to be proud of the performance. I thought we were the better team and played with confidence altho' we were a bit weak against their Right side forwards.
Still very proud of the team - its been a long time.

My Grannie used to say 'an ounce of encouragement gets better results than a ton of criticism". Maybe some people should try that.

Now all we need is shooting practice? But yes it is back on track and should help the lads not to get over excited.

My read of the game s that we were back almost to the good days with most players improved over previous games - EXCEPT when it came to shooting. We had 60% of the came and controlled Aberdeen for most of the game. Passing was quite good and more direct but they seem to be too excited when shooting and ballooning was the name of the game. Two other points are that Wallace should not have started and Fotheringham took far to many long kicks ALL of which started a counterattack from Aberdeen. I thought we are getting there and to criticise Warbs etc is way out of order. As someone else points out a foul that never was and several attempts blocked by the defence packing their penalty area made a world of difference on the day. Nothing more .
