If we had been offered 3 signings at the start of the window, we would have been relatively happy (considering some of the cash wasted by Beale) . The disappointment is not adding another striker…. BUT… we have silva, dessers and roofe (in theory! ) . They have Kyogo, oh and idah.
Time for those in other areas (excluding Tav) to set up the way turnbull, palma, o’Reilly and Abada (before injuries) .
BUT - recruitment is a massive factor in success or failure. Over the last 4-5 years: mcauley, hastie, barker, jones, Stewart, sadiq, Itten, grezda, bacuna, lafferty, edmundson…. too many failures! Time to go young and hungry. Hopefully what we are sing now!

I get the impression that if Silva had been brought in tonight folk would have been happier. PC has brought in a striker. It's a gamble, but then there's very few proven goalscorers out there and their clubs aren't just going to let them leave on loan half way through a season - so it's put up big £££s or go for riskier options on loan etc. were paying Dessers, Danilo, Sima, Silva and Roofe right now and I doubt that leaves much in the budget to splash out major dough on January on another one!

I believe we have tried a number of targets (that the manager wanted) . Didn’t happen so need to move on. Insurance of an extra forward would be good, but if one hasn’t arrived I believe it is because the PC didn’t get his man or didn’t fancy what was on offer.
Disappointing to think people here think PC either doesn’t understand what is at stake in 2nd half of season or does not have a plan. Other than one poor result, PC has turned the season around and given real cause for optimism (on all fronts), and I think we should give him the benefit of the doubt in knowing what it takes to win with what he has.

Swapping Matondo for Manhoef would look great business. Matondonis rapid, but doesn't offer a lot else.
One issue might be the euro squad though. Pc has already bemoaned the lack of a nother LB in there, and with Lammers and Cifu leaving and Silva and Diomande coming in, any others leaving will reduce an already slim Euro squad with no replacement possible.

This is what I have heard regarding Ridden, latest from Istanbul yesterday, (albeit from a Fernabahce source. Galatasaray want Ridden on a cut price deal, (it is the way that the Turkish Market in general operates as I have said before) . Rangers, so far have been holding out for an imp front fee of £5m, (I am told that Galatasaray continue to push for a loan deal and are offering a maximum on an open ended option of £3.5m
They will have secured Ridvan's agent's support and he will be putting pressure on Ridvan, all about reducing the fee.
In Istanbul their is a rivalry between Galatasaray and the two other major clubs, Fernabahce and Besiktas which is more bitter than our rivalry with Celtic however when it comes to the National Team, the country and the support is united.
The Turkish Nation al side wants Ridden back home to be in the squad for the Euros and for that reason alone we currently hold all the aces because they have to announce the squad by this Friday. After that, if he is not named, he won't be going but remember, the Turkish Transfer Window still has another week to run so if they still want him they have time to come up with the money. We, quite simply, need to play hardball.

Starting line up wrong wright is never a rangers starter for me he shouldn’t even be on the bench. Silva dived ridiculously just before the pen and all the rolling about he does is embarrassing.
I have know idea what Tav was doing at the 1st goal easy ball back to the keeper ?.
This has to be Goldson last season as a number one CH for us. Souttar not getting close to day for their 3rd was poor also. We need a few defenders in the summer.
2nd half we were better when wright went off and sima on and then silva off for matondo. I hope we go against Dundee with sima and matondo in the starting 11. Feel sorry for dessers put himself about but no service for him bar the one he scored and it was a foul unfortunately. Don’t think Lawrence starting worked either never done much. Somehow we got a draw out of that and with having to go to their midden I would have them slight favs now but it’s still in our hands. We will need to win every game against the rest and draw or beat them at porkhied.

Big souttar had a decent game. For the third goal he'd have had to take out sterling to get in there. With goldson the biggest games we've had lately the result has been affected by him. Own goal v benfica and ball today but i think he came back. The silva or sima debate was answered today.

Thought the starting line up was as good as we could put out - Wright is obviously only starting due to injuries.
First goal was horrible! Starts with a terrible turn over of possession from Sterling and having watched it back I still can't work out what Tav was doing? Looks like he thought it was going to run through to Butland first.
Thought Goldson was unlucky for the pen as it took a nick of the player in front of him.
Third goal I blamed Sterling more than Souttar.
Hate the histrionics from Silva - in fact they nearly cost us a penalty today.
On reflection, the wind seemed to play a massive part in how each half played out.
Disappointing performance, but league is very much still on - though I'd make them favourites.
