reading what john said re, bid accepted for colak, i would not at all be surprised to see us gain one striker and lose another within days of each other

10m would easily be acceptable by the club for alf, imo.

1.) 24 Jun 2022 16:49:55
Yip 1 year left £10 million is fair.

2.) 24 Jun 2022 17:20:56
He’s not going Tom and £10m doesn't cut it! £14m for Eduarde last year of contract and he’s shown himself to be crap!

You think he’s better than Buff?

3.) 24 Jun 2022 17:23:38
Also when you’re trying to sell something you don’t do it in a way to help the buyer!

There is nothing fair in business! It’s business! We’re not doing people favours.

If something is in demand then you demand what you want. 1 year means nothing unless you approach it your way.

4.) 24 Jun 2022 17:42:29
Reading a report there that colak might well be going to fenerbache ?
Seemingly they tried to sign him in january there and are now prepared to offer PAOK one of their players on loan as well as paying the transfer fee for colak ? Interesting indeed.

5.) 24 Jun 2022 18:45:19
Ita definitely not a done deal anyway. Seems to be a bit to go yet to get over the line.

6.) 24 Jun 2022 18:55:16
Take the 10 million; reinvest it on two 5 million pound strikers and move on from him.

7.) 24 Jun 2022 20:08:23
TT12,i've honestly not seen anywhere mate that rangers have had a bid accepted for antonio colak ? Unless John25 has from his usually reliable source i haven't seen this anywhere and fenerbache are now well in the hunt to sign him?.

8.) 24 Jun 2022 20:16:22
Gdog all due respect mate you need to stop looking at what they got for there players. We will get what a club is willing to pay.

9.) 24 Jun 2022 21:13:57
Don’t care about colak as I have only seen him twice he played well but anyone can play well for two game been poor in Greece but good in Sweden

Gdog I love Alfredo but I think if we get a bid of 10 mil he is off.

10.) 24 jun 2022 21:57:51
thanks for the business lesson mate.

11.) 24 jun 2022 21:59:48
il try to decipher it tomorrow when i'm a little less hazy gdog, i'm still trying to understand the first line about helping buyers,

this is a banter page mate.

12.) 24 jun 2022 22:26:14
gdog, he hasn't been in demand for years mate, there might be an offer, i'm saying if rangers are offered 10m then they will, rightly accept, unless there's another club interested.

13.) 24 Jun 2022 23:31:29
Irvger you are 100% correct don’t know why some fans do that.

Coops don’t know if it was John or not may have been him but someone did say bud has been accepted tho I wouldn’t expect it to be reported in media as they haven’t a clue anyway.

22 jun 2022 09:22:50
morning chaps

john raised something yesterday which rang a bell with me, as coop had said gio may be looking for an addition to his back room team, john mentioned ian mccall

i never considered ian myself but i knew him as far back as the mid 80s, he was atdunfermline at the time, he was a fantastic player at that time too, stood out like a sore thumb, very skilful, he obviously went on to play for rangers, but i’m sure there was an issue with graeme sounness, ian also had an issue of his own, but his football brain was always evident to those around him, in a nutshell i would love to see him back at rangers, he would bring vast experience and knowledge, a guy who understands good players because he was one himself, make no mistake, those who don’t know anything about him he was extremely talented, he could see things others couldn’t, a bit like barry in that sense, yes a goodly choice for me.

1.) 22 Jun 2022 09:38:20
Tom good post, yes he fell out with souness who was frustrated by his perceived lack of desire. Souness actually described him as one off the most talented players he managed who got away.

Mcall is/ was very friendly with McAllister and latterly SG.

I know players he has managed and not one questions his coaching ability or people skills.

2.) 22 Jun 2022 09:38:24
Agree Tom. Did you enjoy your night out at ibrox last night? Did you manage to get a word with dougie or wee Ross?

3.) 22 Jun 2022 09:55:59
Didn't he take a dump in Simon Stainrod's shoe while they were at Falkirk?

4.) 22 jun 2022 10:35:58
i didn’t bgate unfortunately, i did see 2 castors vans filling up the store, mostly with the orange strip
i had to leave early but i enjoyed being back there immensely,
john last time i spoke with ian it was in the grosvenor hotel many years ago and i think we shared a few sherbets, i think he changed his lifestyle a bit later on, a night out with a couple of possible boys maybe too much for him ?
a good player who was definitely close to the top bracket in the uk, i remember guys who didn’t believe me raving about how good he was, he went abroad i think, but yes, he could have reached the top he was that talented, just that extra edge and fitness was short, he played with bradford and apart from rangers that was as far as he got,

5.) 22 Jun 2022 10:38:35
Ian Mccall was my manager at Falkirk for the last 6 months I was there before he went to Dundee Utd. I really enjoyed my time with him and he had fresh ideas as a coach back then.

Dothebouncy- He was at Falkirk as a player long before he was my gaffer and it was then he apparently "did the dirty" in Stainrods shoe. It doesn't surprise me as even as a gaffer he always liked a joke and a prank but also knew when to knuckle down and work hard.

6.) 22 jun 2022 12:03:51
you must have enjoyed your time there moc, i was actually talking about falkirk with peter hetherstons brother at his bar in gran canaria a good few years ago, i mentioned ian but they are of a different era, and persuasion so they knew little of him personally, i bet it was enjoyable training back then?

7.) 22 Jun 2022 12:21:06
Loved every minute of it TT. Alex Totten was the gaffer for the majority of my time there. Different era to now but surprisingly Falkirk were one of the first clubs in Scotland to introduce dieticians and apply sports science. A lady called Pam came in and advised us on our diet depending on our weight and fitness levels. Alex Macqueen was our physio and he was some guy. Always looking to improve himself and bring new techniques and science into his physiotherapy. He went to Kilmarnock and then to his boyhood team the Glasgow Rangers before SG binned him. He was absolutely devastated.

I used to go back and do the odd bit of training with Falkirk even after I left and was attaining my coaching badges. that's how I got to know Scotty Arfield.

Great times and loads of characters in that dressing room. Scott Crabbe, Davy Sinclair and Ivo Den Biemen were all there. Ivo was a big serious guy but Crabbo, Sinky and Scott Mckenzie just ripped the utter p. out of him?.

8.) 22 Jun 2022 13:06:52
MOCBear were you at Falkirk same time as Lee Miller during his first spell?

9.) 22 Jun 2022 15:32:11
I was indeed Gazza83. Year younger than me.

10.) 22 Jun 2022 18:54:41
He was a cracking player went to school way him from primary right through, his young lad Lennon looks a player too, could end up better than his old man.

11.) 22 Jun 2022 23:01:41
Gazza 83. Lennon Miller is an exceptional young talent.

12.) 24 Jun 2022 07:56:43
He has just signed his first contract with Motherwell. Would of loved us to have snapped him up as you say exceptional young talent.

26 may 2022 05:56:02
see europa conference league is being billed as roma, s first major euro trophy, we will undoubtedly find ourselves in it at some point and i'm certainly happy enough to see it billed as a major trophy, just in case we win it, it is of course major because it will involve major clubs, anyone with different thoughts?

1.) 26 May 2022 07:13:40
Totally agree TT.
The “big” leagues seem to take all European competitions seriously now.

frazier, nobody expect to make money investing in football, the elite companies who own the likes of red bull etc already making billions every year, they are simply spreading they’re name and associating it with a major sport name, football clubs need money poured int them, not taken out, not just rangers, all of them,

{Ed001's Note - tell that to the Glazers Tom.}

rangers system will automatically be linked with hundreds of players, as will all clubs, a journalist doesn’t need any other information, player name comes up on computer system meaning he’s avaliable, a club is obviously always in the market, that’s the link, sometimes i think some people think it’s only rangers name they use, i personally don’t mind the press linking us, i was brought up with the paper being the only media, and later i got to know a few pressmen, now i’m neighbours with one, i enjoy the gossip.

anderson will be mentioned on here hundreds of times now, wasn’t funny the first time

i think kings best form would have been good enough, but if he’s been released by watford then his best is probably behind him.

btw, this imo, is rangers most sellable and valuable asset in many years

and you want to take the first low bid

i see business isn’t a strong point.
