Was speaking to a friend from down south a couple days ago that gets good information about English clubs but he says that we have been looking at Jamal Lewis the Newcastle LB. He think we are looking for a loan deal for next season. I must admit I know very little about this player other than he didn't make the Newcastle squad for 2nd half of the season and he is Irish I think. For me if this is true I think Borna must be the LB to make way as I think Bassey has great potential.
He also spoke about the interest in the lad Lowry down south. His opinion is there is at least 6 EPL clubs interested in the lad. Have heard from my source that Gio has promised him a bigger role should he sign the extension. We will have as many as 4 or 5 academy players move up this group will include King and Lowry.

1.) 22 Apr 2022 12:56:13
Charlie McCann will also move up imo with possibly tony weston 🤔.

2.) 22 Apr 2022 13:36:59
Jamal Lewis, Northern Ireland International, not a bad player, his move to Newcastle hasn't worked out for whatever reason, definately good enough for the SPL 🇬🇧🇬🇧.

3.) 22 Apr 2022 15:34:19
no thanks for Jamal. And this is from a big NI fan. Weak in defence and no end product in attack. There is a reason he is not in Howe's squad and I imagine it is footballing ability over the others who are ahead of him.

4.) 22 Apr 2022 17:04:47
Good postbelshill I wrote January the following had been identified to move to first team squad
King mcann Lowry Cervantes Alegria Weston.

5.) 23 Apr 2022 14:41:54
john25 i can't see alegria being called up to the 1st team next season now that he has struggled at partick in the championship.

6.) 23 Apr 2022 20:36:07
Time will tell, plenty players struggle on loan, sometimes it’s about removing them from their comfort zone see how they develop.

7.) 24 Apr 2022 15:23:02
Looking ahead to next season and on the assumption that perhaps only Arfield and, (I hope and pray), Goldson, will be given contract extensions then we really need to be bringing in some real quality, principally in central defence and midfield. Add to that, our need to replace failures like Simpson and Itten, (to name but two), and the real potential that we could lose some, if not all of our quality players, Morelos, Aribo, Kent, Helander, Barisic and Kamara, we really need to be currently scouting at a level above where we have been recently.
There has to be an opportunity for some of our young players, McCann, King, Lowry, (if he signs a new contract), and Weston to be more involved in the first Team squad however we really need to see three or four to quality signings. and there are some excellent players that will be available on Bosmans come 30th June! I just hope that our DoF is targeting quality!

Heard the craziest of rumours at work today. This lad has connections at Everton and he told me that we are sounding out dele ali to see if he would be interested in coming. Now I personally can't see it but the lad was adamant and after Ramsey I'm nor sure. Don't get me wrong he would be outstanding if on form but just can't see it.

1.) 13 Apr 2022 17:54:11
Is he not on c. £150k a week?

2.) 13 Apr 2022 18:02:23
Bellsh This story was doing rounds in summer, contracted till 24, so would be a loan.

3.) 13 Apr 2022 18:12:41
We don't need guys who've had better days we need guys hungry for success and with the right attitude.

4.) 13 Apr 2022 19:53:06
onewaltersmith, the rumour is just that, a rumour. But to suggest a 26 year old athlete with 40 England caps has seen better days goes straight to the top of the bonkers league - and on here that takes some doing.

5.) 13 Apr 2022 20:54:24
The guy is only 26 and some talent when on his game. I would take him but don't think it will happen.

6.) 13 Apr 2022 21:02:15
tavsonloyal it is not bonkers at all to say what onewaltersmith has said, sir alex ferguson was on video saying last year saying he 'thought dele alli was destined to be a top player and he was unsure of what has happened' to dele alli.

7.) 13 Apr 2022 21:02:33
Strange since the guys that I know on Merseyside believe that he is a major part of Lampard's strategy for next season, assuming of course that he can get himself fully match fit. It would be a minor miracle for us to secure Dele Ali.
The only players that will be leaving Goodison will be the ones that have flopped and I don't see them coming to Rangers.

8.) 13 Apr 2022 21:17:29
Was SG not trying bring him to ibrox on loan before he went to Everton tbh his attitude is stinking some say to much money so young there no thirst there anymore more interest in his clothing brand and tik tok.

9.) 13 Apr 2022 21:50:58
Berkshire there's no guarantee lampard will be there next season. he's been nothing short of garbage.

10.) 13 Apr 2022 22:30:50
Paul, Everton's problems have been there for a long time and a lot of it has been down to their previous DoF and some overpriced transfer deals. Lampard will do well if he keeps them in the Premier League.

11.) 13 Apr 2022 22:42:09
Paul Lampard is working with his ties behind his back at Everton klopp or pep wouldn’t sort that team out.

12.) 14 Apr 2022 00:05:26
Is he even evertons player or is he on loan from spurs?

13.) 14 Apr 2022 01:37:37
Everton has spent some amount of cash on absolute bang average players. ae as fulh they came up spent over 100 million and still went down.

14.) 14 Apr 2022 01:44:27
Hes a Everton player 55.

15.) 14 Apr 2022 03:29:57
Deli Ali 🤨🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 get a grip lads deli Ali 😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭😂😭.

16.) 14 Apr 2022 07:02:07
Word is deli Ali maybe quit football altogether as he has fell out of love with the game. That's reason his performance has dropped so much. Made his money and no hunger anymore. Would be a terrible signing.

17.) 14 Apr 2022 08:31:43
Has not been a top player for at least 3 years stay well clear of him - terrible attitude as well.

18.) 14 Apr 2022 17:52:11
Here we go. He signed on a free for Everton. Incredible addons of 40 million. First one is a payment of 20 million after 20 starts. They should move him on save 20 million.

19.) 14 Apr 2022 23:32:04
Some single fish on here! Deli Ali is an Outstanding player when focused. Got treated with contempt at Spurs and downed tools. Put him in Rangers family and he be amazing. Reality though is he is better than Scottish Diddy league.

20.) 15 Apr 2022 21:17:00
Every one sayed same about Defoe and Ramsey could happen.

21.) 17 Apr 2022 11:56:01
Ali is yesterday's news definitely not some1 we should consider.

28 Mar 2022 10:22:36
Reading a lot of articles about young Rory Wilson. Most are reporting that he will be joining Gerrard at Aston Villa for a development fee of around 300k mark.

1.) 28 Mar 2022 12:03:18
Its the daily Rebel though, so take with a pinch of salt.

2.) 28 Mar 2022 12:47:09
Villa have scouted the lad since b4 gerrard left.

3.) 28 Mar 2022 13:13:38
He is going to villa or city.

4.) 28 Mar 2022 17:21:11
Maybe he will have change of heart and stay.

5.) 28 Mar 2022 17:44:57
Bgate, short career, go with the money.

6.) 28 Mar 2022 19:38:57
he was poor v Germany the other day and impressed no-one alas. Still i'd have liked him to stay, but he isn't afaik a big gers fan so sure the opportunity to get a scollarship down south will win through. the lad weston is imo a better prospet overall.

7.) 28 Mar 2022 20:03:22
I have said on here for a while that he will be going to Man City.

8.) 28 Mar 2022 20:13:09
I'm hoping weston can get a chance next season with the first team, few others possibly as well, mb mccausland and mccann.

9.) 28 Mar 2022 20:30:20
U sure have hendo.

10.) 30 Mar 2022 10:28:36
Mark i'd like see Weston out on loan six months, mb mcausland.
Mcann will be first team squad next season.

11.) 30 Mar 2022 10:57:05
John I'm surprised we didn't send weston out on loan in January, needs to tested at a higher level than the b team.

12.) 30 Mar 2022 11:34:19
We knocked back thistle and st mirren for loan deals.

13.) 30 Mar 2022 11:03:17
Villa would be bad for the boy the Gerrard thought he was not good enough to play against the likes of Dundee he’s no chance at villa especially with the players they will prob buy in the summer a know money talks but the would be better at a mid championship team where he could shine before getting a move to the premier league think gilmour is a great player but let’s face it don’t see him playing for a top 12 team and doubt people will pay the cash Chelsea what will get loaned out till he’s probably 24/ 25.

14.) 30 Mar 2022 12:17:20
RFC u do know he was 15 and not allowed to play for reserves and first team when gerrard was manager.

15.) 30 Mar 2022 18:08:27
All the young boys have to produce at a higher level iv closely watched Allegra since loaning to Partick and he's struggling so it's always a risk with lads at teenage years villa can afford to throw thousands per week on wages Rangers can't so good luck to the boy.

16.) 31 Mar 2022 05:22:15
Like Mark44 said in his earlier reply post, i'd love to see this young striker tony weston tested at a higher level to see how he handles the step up 🤔Weston looks like he has a really good future in the game and hopefully for our first team to start with 🙏🤔.

08 Feb 2022 19:04:23
Just read we are looking to tie up Morelos on a new contract. Was talking to a friend earlier and it's his understanding that Arfield will be offered 12 month extension, Morelos will be offered further 2 years with release clause and they will be looking to do the same thing with Aribo but 12 month extension with release clause.
He did tell me he thinks both McGregor and Davis will retire end of this season but that was only his opinion
Decision on Balogun will be made depending upon what happens with summer targets. Katic will be gone also.

1.) 08 Feb 2022 21:34:38
I cannot believe we haven't tied Goldson down as yet. He's been a stalwart for the past two seasons. Granted, he makes a few boo-boo's here and there, but who doesn't! Every single high ball, he wins. He's a beast! I'd much rather see us pay him the rumoured £5k a week extra that he wants than see him go to the EPL and turn out for a mid/ low table team. He's one of us!

2.) 08 Feb 2022 23:40:19
BSARJ the question is does he want to stay or does he want to move on.

3.) 09 Feb 2022 03:08:12
Arfield deserves a contract extension there is plenty of life in the old dog yet. Also exactly the type of midfield player we need. Would also like to see the wee genius Davis get a one year extension, think he still has a lot to offer.

4.) 09 Feb 2022 03:32:02
Agree on arfield but think time fore Davis . arfield deserves it as a reward for effort he has put in so far this season at very least.

5.) 09 Feb 2022 06:26:51
Goforbigcf, ? Really?, you think he is not and has not been 'rewarded' for the years he has been there already.
We are not a charity, IF Arfield deserves another year on merit fair do's, and at the minute he is a first pick. That wasnt the case not so long ago.

6.) 09 Feb 2022 07:20:02
Goldson thinks he is better than he is. His long passing is excellent but his decision making for short passes, his turning and when holding possession is bad. He is blameless when he makes mistakes and can't run. I will be happy to see the back of him.

7.) 09 Feb 2022 08:38:28
I like big Goldson, and I really hope he does stay. If it is true (it is only a rumour), and he will only sign If he becomes the highest paid player at the club, then that is never going to happen! I also find it funny that he can ping a long range pass better than any other defender in Scotland, but struggles (sometimes) to pass the ball 5 yards in front of him. One thing that really impresses me about Goldson, is the way he communicates with young players on the park and is always offering up support and advice to them.

8.) 09 Feb 2022 08:40:15
Got to agree Livibear. His passing is good but he has a mistake in him nearly every game, makes me nervous. I think he is poor in the tackle and a you say on the turn is slow. He is ok in the air but for me if we can get Doekhi in then he is an upgrade. If rumours are true he wants around 40k a week I don't think he is worth that.

9.) 09 Feb 2022 09:29:29
I agree we should be getting him tied down. Mouldy how much have u seen of doheki? I'd bring him in along with goldson if they play on oposite sides cb wise. But I think goldson gets too much stick you don't know what uve got until its gone as the saying goes.

10.) 09 Feb 2022 10:08:38
Davis is done after this season. Highly doubt he will be offered another deal.

11.) 09 Feb 2022 10:19:29
I have been a critic of goldsons performances on occasions this season with some lacklustre displays but if he wants to go down south who can blame him it’s going to be his last good contact if he gets an extra 10-20 grand a week how many people on here would turn that down? The draw for us is being rangers fans from day one and obv fighting for a title and European football ect, likely go to a bottom half in epl but will want to set himself up with a lidy bank balance before career draws out money talks guys.

12.) 09 Feb 2022 10:58:55
The club should offer Goldson £5k increase on anotger 2 year deal. Take it or thanks for your efforts and good luck.
We then look to replace him we've helander (first choice imo) souttar anf King as back up I'd probably offer Leon a year as well to add some depth.
Goldson has been great servant and is a decent big player but he's definitely replaceable.
He does get left exposed by Tav at times though.

13.) 09 Feb 2022 11:45:56
I would say Goldson is well within his rights to want more money. He never misses a game and overall he's a good solid performer. Then you have Kemar Roofe reportedly the clubs highest earner who misses more games than he plays through injuries and is very inconsistent when he does play. Who would you rather was getting paid more money because for me its Goldson all day long. I still find it hard to believe that Gerrard, Wilson and whoever else gets involved in our transfers thought it was a good idea to sign Roofe and pay him so much money in the first place because it was no secret that he was injury prone.

14.) 09 Feb 2022 13:09:21
Unless we have someone better to replace Goldson, (and at the moment I don't see it), then I would be paying him the extra that he is rumoured to want to keep him at the Club. With regards to Morelos, arguably the most important of all the contract extensions we need to make happen and I would add Kent and Aribo to the list of players that we need to extend. Replacing them will cost us a lot more than an extra £5k or £10k a week.

15.) 09 Feb 2022 13:11:15
The Roofe signing has proved to be a costly mistake. He is a decent enough player but his well publicised injury issues should have been a warning for us to stay well clear. By the time his contract expires he will have cost us more based on time on the pitch than some top flight players in the English Premiership!

16.) 09 Feb 2022 13:33:31
BB - -players having a poor injury record haven't stopped us signing quite a few over the years (Gazza? ) and many more.
Its the only way we can get some of these guys in the door.

17.) 09 Feb 2022 15:24:03
Roofe has talent, but he is often out injured, and unlike Jack, takes a bit of time getting back up to speed. The problem with that, is once he's up to speed, scoring goals, he gets injured again.

18.) 09 Feb 2022 17:10:38
Bar72 we are the Rangers family and you don't throw the guys that bleed for you out on the street says a lot more about you than you think. Sorry but truth hurts and you can't tell me he is not good enough to come off the bench for us when needed to give people a rest works hard every time he plays so yes it's also on merit. Do people forget how our club used to act remember when ally Maxwell was ditched by Motherwell after his heroic effert in cup final we rewarded that even when he wasn't our player and you think we should turn our back on a guy that helped stop ten and busts a gut everytine he plays. shame!

19.) 09 Feb 2022 17:15:45
Berkshire blue where does it stop you pay goldson then who is next? Nobody is beating down goldsons door or he would have signed a precontract in Jan to me that says championship only. Guys like Morelos get the money because other top clubs are interested.

20.) 09 Feb 2022 18:02:16
Roofe has proved worthy of his fee but his injury record is poor and imo like Jack we need to look to bring in players more reliable the problem is players of there quality are expensive.

21.) 09 Feb 2022 20:52:36
Morelos… Wow… WTF? Since his globetrotting bench warming he’s come back an actual player😂 never rated him as a baller but, hey, dummies and flicks!?! Anyway, Alfredo and Scotty A need to be tied down. McGregor and Davis will retire soon. I’ve been impressed with Lundstrum now he’s realised Scottish football isn’t as easy as has been pundits and supporters of small teams in a big league would have you believe🇬🇧.

11 Jan 2022 11:51:01
The young lad maxwell has been offered a new 1 year extension to contract that expires end of the season but has 4 clubs including Leeds after him.

1.) 11 Jan 2022 12:49:52
Bellshill by offering him a contract even if he does not sign it it gets us more compensation.
However I would hope he signs it, with option of another year, get him out on loan to top league or mb championship in England. See if he delivers.

2.) 11 Jan 2022 13:15:02
Would imagine that’s just so we get a development fee.

3.) 11 Jan 2022 14:52:05
I’m sure I read an interview where he said he recognised he needed to move to get first team football. He said he had gone out on loan like rangers had asked but still wasn’t near first team due to form of Barasic and Bassey which is fair enough.

I think if we are going to use Bassey as a CH then we would need Maxwell as cover for Barasic now Patterson is gone?

4.) 11 Jan 2022 16:20:52
Maxwell is a good player, I’d give him a chance.

5.) 11 Jan 2022 16:21:10
Not seen much of Maxwell at all to have an opinion but what I have seen he looks like he could be a very good player, if Hibs lose Doig, I’d try loan him to them.
We have a very good young right back in the b team I like the look of but can’t remember his name and also the boy who wore 8 in the game against city strollers or whatever you call them looked a really good player on the right of 3 man midfield.

6.) 11 Jan 2022 20:13:41
Stevie when hibs thought they were losing doig in summer they made move to sign maxwell and Kelly, came to nothing

B team right back is Adam Devine, highly rated.

Midfielder I’m not sure, will try look into it and get back to u.

7.) 11 Jan 2022 21:58:55
Stevie/ John

I think the right midfielder could be Murray Millar or Arron Lyall. Millar looks a good player but the pick for me is Alex Lowry.

8.) 12 Jan 2022 07:00:17
Reading between the lines I think something is going to happen regarding summerville and Maxwell . 🤔.

Just read that the young CM from Bournemouth won't be available any time soon as there has been an issue flagged up during his ECG. Will be sent to see specialist for a more in depth look. Hopefully it is nothing serious and he gets in about it soon. Was looking excellent in training before the issue was discovered.

1.) 18 Jul 2021 09:39:31
I went to the docs when I was younger and he sent me for a ecg because I had irregular heartbeat and turned out to be nothing so hopefully it’s the same with this kid.

2.) 18 Jul 2021 09:51:46
So said our manager after the arsenal game word for word.

3.) 18 Jul 2021 10:14:02
Lots of people have irregular heart beats or kick in extra ones now and again and can function normally. Let's hope the lad gets the all clear very soon.

11 Jun 2021 18:20:34
Was chatting to a few Eastern Europeans I work with today and the 21 year old Croatian CM that we are linked with came up. Long story short on of them has Croatian in laws and this boy is going to be a decent player. At 21 he captains their under 21 nationalside and if not for injuriesthis season they were saying he would have been in the euros squad. They were talking like he will be a Mainstay in the full national side for years to come. Anyone know anything about the boy.

11 May 2021 16:05:04
Just read we are now being linked with a move for James Carragher, son of Jamie. 18 year old CB out of contract at Wigan so would only be cross border compensation. Everton were also mentioned as a club looking to sign him. Story is we were looking at the young striker Joseph I think his name is and carragher caught the eye.

1.) 11 May 2021 16:29:38
If he's anywhere near as good as his father was then that would be great.

2.) 11 May 2021 17:11:53
I read that also, if it's TRUE I'm sure we will get him because if Gerrard, he's meant to be a big powerful, quick lad that excels on 1 on 1s.

3.) 11 May 2021 17:59:23
Not sure rethis story given carragher not played for Wigan first team.
Mb we watched Joseph at reserve level and carragher managed a game.

4.) 11 May 2021 20:49:28
John there is a few reports saying we saw him while looking at Joseph.

5.) 12 May 2021 07:17:55
Good to know we now watch Wigan reserves. Yes I read that on the very relatable football insider website. It’s called click bait.

14 Jan 2021 18:19:00
Just read an article about interest in morelos from Bayern's as the long term successor of Lewandowski. Article was of of a Spanish outlet. Me personally can't see it happening but would love to see it just to wind the Celtic fans up.

1.) 14 Jan 2021 18:26:59
Canae see that happening mate he’s not in that class lol maybe he could go to a team challenging for European place in Germany 1st and see what happens.

2.) 14 Jan 2021 18:29:16
EL football insidero.

27 May 2020 11:02:55
Just read an article and got talking to a Southampton fan about Stuart Armstrong as a possible target for us. At 28ish I think he was a hood player up here and isn't getting game time down south. Think if we were to bring him in he would be a good addition to our midfield. Wee bit more creative than Davis, jack and co.

1.) 27 May 2020 11:28:16
He must be on a good wage?

2.) 27 May 2020 12:17:30
Heard a wee rumour that he "favours" us over them. Is he any better than what we have though?

3.) 27 May 2020 12:30:33
Superb player.

4.) 27 May 2020 12:57:06
Seeker pal, they way our midfield was playing pre shutdown, he would be a vast improvement on what we have. If available, I think he'd be worth a punt.

5.) 27 May 2020 13:35:54
Seeker he is a definite step up on what we presently have.

6.) 27 May 2020 13:47:10
Totally agree with you Bizzmy Brox,
stuart armstrong is a superb central midfielder, who scores goals. I would take him at rangers in a second!

7.) 27 May 2020 14:41:56
Yea totally agree would be a good addition. don't know if he would prefer us to them. i'm sure his family are all big Celtic fans.

8.) 27 May 2020 15:12:48
I was asked this by a fellow bear just now, regarding stuart armstrong, which i'll share with you guys. I was asked as our very own scotty arfield and stuart armstrong are similar styled midfielders, who would i prefer rangers to sign, if both were the same age and i could only sign one. My choice would be arfield, although i do rate armstrong highly.

9.) 27 May 2020 15:14:22
Having played for celtic would he be accepted by our fans? Personally i don't care good player is a good player. And as long as they give everything for rangers doesn't bother me about signing ex celtic players. Always thought we should have bought him when celtic did. He would walk into our midfield in my opinion and at his age you would hope he would want to play over getting few extra pound in his pocket.

10.) 27 May 2020 16:18:03
Played loads this season. Very much in favour. And is a massive celtic fan.

11.) 27 May 2020 16:43:49
Armstrong will not be a Rangers player for two reasons - he is on a £54k a week contract and he is a massive Shettleston Harrier with less love for our club that O'Halloran.

12.) 27 May 2020 16:57:00
I don't know that he's a massive celtic fan mate, from boyhood anyway.

13.) 27 May 2020 17:00:35
Ok guys, must have got duff information. I thought he was a bear. To be honest anytime I watched Southampton he either was on the bench or when he did play he was piss poor. Just saying.

The thing we need to look at with Ferguson is at his age he is probably one of the more accomplished Scottish players. Great SPL experience some European experience and has plenty potential for improvement. The 3 mentioned wouldn't be the Aberdeen player I would be hoping for. Me personally I think the young right back Calvin Ramsey I'm sure his name is would be the pick of the bunch. Bring him in, improve him and sell on for profit. Would also look at young doig the LB from hibs and have him battle it out with Bassey for next season.

Lowry signed until 2025 also. Both will serve us well next season.

What development fee for Robbie? Didn't realise our 3rd choice keeper was out of contract. If you're meaning Ross that was part of the Wright deal I'm sure. I think your Lewis would be a good addition for SPL. He is a solid league player that has all the attributes to be a good addition to our squad. To me he reminds me of Scott Arfield. Maybe not as complete a player but he is still young. Get these he's not good enough comment all the time. Just look back at Ryan Jack, John lundstrum, loads have came in and proved fans wrong.

The main cause in my opinion is poor recruitment something like 30 million spent in past few years with most getting their contracts terminated by mutual consent. That has to stop. Paying millions in fees then same in paying them off. Secondly it will be the excessive legal fees caused by the sports direct twat taking us to court every time his dinner is cold.

I think with wilson in our recruitment will improve buying low improving and selling for profit with sell on clauses in the likes of morelos, kamara, aribo etc. Pretty much copy what Celtic have done with there players for years now.

I think it was just needing time to gel. Keep the majority of that team and the league will be ours. Think new first choice keeper, left back and if morales is sold a good quality striker. Go out and spend a bit on each position get some quality and team will be outstanding.
