During the game, it was mentioned that if Rangers win the league Butland would be player of the year. Even if we don’t win it, he’s the player of the year. He has papered over a lot of the cracks. The OF games alone have put us 6 points behind. This season should have been won long ago by them. The fact is that they are a weak team but so are we. We have to stop pretending we are contenders with that back line. And again the lack of threat from corners in a league where 75%f of the teams park the bus. Absolutely terrible!

Blue - Goldson should be shown the door at end of season - he can't run - can't mark - can't give us goals at other end but is good at pointing and gesticulating and moaning at others and really good at ballwatching - what I would give to have a Gough or Butcher in there! ?.

Two goals is plenty to win at Ross County. Today’s result is pretty damning of the defense. There was almost an arrogance and denial with their defending. The announcer was having a go at tom Lawerence’s defending outside the six yard box. But where are the 4 players that line up behind him? Dessers, Dessers, Dessers, give it up, he’s not the problem. The back line is and we have known it for years. The setup we play requires strong CB’s and ours are terribly inconsistent and not fast enough.

There’s lots of problems and Dessers is absolutely one of them. He scores one of the sitters he gets today and we go 2-0 up and the game is pretty much done.

If dessers scores any his chances the game is done at that point. He is a massive problem along with all 4 defenders who have failed for years yet are neveer replaced. We needed pace power and heart ans we bring back BB and dowell who don't have a heart between them. This result is on the manager for me not having the balls to drop players and his team selection.

The defence been the problem for the last 2 seasons and no real change to it of the 4 starting today I would keep one at the most but would happily get rid of them all.

I thought Cantwell was probably our best player after that we were poor, i know people like to blame Dessers he had two chances one was a very good save the other was very poor finishing, but before you blame him take a look at the rest of our team defence were all over the place midfIeld were never in it, we were so slow and cumbersome even at 3-2 we were passing the ball to death so for me today we were just not good enough all over the park and hot what we deserved Ross County looked like the team going for the title not us.

Other than the 3-0 end of season kiss off last season after the title was decided, Rangers haven't beaten Celtic since the start or the 2021/ 22 season. We really need a meaningful win against them.

Big Phil will know that we need pace on the wings and they can’t cope with that.
I’d put Sterling in the Right CM position to help Tav out. If Goldson doesn’t get the finger out I’d go with Balogun as the big man has rarely let us down. His pace would also help cover Tav.

Clement will be well aware of what is needed and I dare say that he will be looking for more than a few incoming quality players this close season. So long as the Board supports Clement there isn't one of the players at end of contract, that couldn't be replaced with a better alternative and there are a few others that wouldn't be missed either.

That was absolutely infuriating. Lack of focus and defensive discipline gave them a point today. How you give up a goal within a minute of a kickoff TWICE in one game in one of the most important games of the year. We were very fortunate not to give them all three points today. The back line really need to own up to this performance and be better when we meet them again.

Well, we need to take our lumps. Our league best defense showing what they are really made of. We are getting absolutely shredded to bits here. Not much to praise, Lundstram won a few tackles, Lawrence some touches, but Sterling the only one to handle the fight and Butland saving us a complete embarassment. Please take Silva off, the rolling around is absolutely cringey. The silver lining is that Phil will understand that our defense needs a revamp this summer.

Silva is a complete and utter embarrassment, boy needs to stay on his feet and stop rolling about. Don't see what everyone else sees in Lawrence, wright shouldn't even be in the match day squad never mind the first 11.

Sir Walter, Wright shouldn't be at Rangers. He is no where near the minimum standard acceptable for a Rangers player. Every time he played it is like starting with 10 men.
As for our defence, we need a top quality centre back this summer and for me, signing Sima is a must!

We really have to stop shopping in the english market, it's saturated with scouts and agents touting young talent and inflating their value. It's like my wife visiting the Louis Vuitton store and coming out chuffed with a $200 euro broach when she went in looking for a purse. Get a handbag at the barras that is fit for purpose.

I would try to find a way to get sterling into the midfield. We were seriously lacking there today. Did Sima not play LB at one point this season? Neither Dowell or Lawerence protected our back line from being exposed.

The frustration is not with each other. It is with the players. They talk a big game. The team has been consistent vs the rest of the league. Celtic has been lest consistent, they have more firepower but are prone to pressure on their defense even from weaker teams. The reality is though, this is a two team league and the winner is usually the OF winner. Call it bottle or whatever, the past 2 seasons we have been unable to perform against them. We haven't put them under pressure all season. We've seen what our team has done NEEDING to be perfect since november. It would have been nice to see how Celtic responded under the same pressure.
3 games vs them. Minutes with Rangers in the lead: ZERO.
Alas, it seems even now, we still need to be perfect to win and they don't have to.

In all honesty the Goldson penalty was more of a penalty than the Johnson one. In a game of inches VAR should have stayed away from both those called. Did Goldson have time to get out of the way, No. Did Johnsons foot touching Silva thigh, impede him in any way, absolutely not. I figure that the penalty call against johnson influenced that call against Dessers goal by VAR as well. VAR is a mess. and definitely takes away from the game.
