Tbh I wouldn't change a thing the squad is strong and we shouldn't need to add as they have a good strong bond and play as a squad not just an 11. By the way how good is Davis @ 35 wow he has to be involved manaagement wise once the gaffer inevitably moves on.

Only slight concern I have is who partners Goldson. Balogun can look a bit casual at times and Helander lacks pace. I like Katic so will be interesting to see what happens when he is back. Can’t help thinking Gerrard will keep rotating them and Helander maybe most likely to play old firm games based on last old firm.

Dec and Jan massive months with a lot of away games and then at home a lot. Next old firm is absolutely massive. Win that at it’s a dagger to the heart!

2.) 06 Dec 2020 20:50:49
Edmundson screwed up big time, he could have been playing as part of rotation these last 5 or 6 games.

3.) 06 Dec 2020 21:19:14
Helander has found an extra yard of pace this season. He was slow last season but seems a bit sharper with a full preseason. His reading of game is excellent.
Balogun has had a few shaky moments but ave been impressed with him.

4.) 06 Dec 2020 22:16:29
players are always a yard quicker when they are not playing

fans think they are much better when they are out the team - it’s astonishing

helander is good defender but was a riot vs benfica - the clamour to get him back in is absl beyond me.

5.) 07 Dec 2020 07:08:12
I think Goldson and Helander are our strongest pairing and Helander Benfica game apart hasn’t put a foot wrong. Hopefully he will be back soon as I rate Big filip. Beyond me how any rangers fan can criticise either Helander or Balogun given our defensive record this year.

Not been on for a good few days but what's the reasoning behind us playing the early kick off on Sunday after playing on thursday at 8pm when that mob get the later kick off after playing on Tuesday could just imagine the reaction from over there regarding fixture fixing? TV scheduling at it's best I'd imagine.

Aberdeen are away on Thu night, nothing sinister, leave that thinking to that mob.

2.) 07 Nov 2023 00:03:25
We get a penalty earlier mate.

3.) 07 Nov 2023 13:09:48
Don’t think a couple of hours will matter much come Sunday especially as it’s a euro home game on the Thursday, get the 3 points and up the road, players would rather play twice a week than train to be fair, it’s the travelling that causes issues saying that being stuck on that bus didn’t hamper them last Wednesday ??.

For me our midfield just now should consist of kamara/ jack, Raskin, Cantwell, kent, tillman or hagi if fit. It will be interesting to see who goes and who comes in. I for one believe its Beales chance to shine in the market come summer and really show us how he wants to play football by the signings he makes. We have a good squad bit we need to improve and refresh.

1.) 25 Mar 2023 09:24:58
Did you mean to put Lundstram instead of kent? For me I’d be selling Kamara Lundstram and Hagi tbh. Use that to buy Tillman and a holding midfielder in the similar mould to Callum McGregor who can control the pace of the game which leaves you with Jack, Lowry, Tillman, Cantwell, Raskin and the new player which is more than enough for us domestically.

2.) 25 Mar 2023 09:35:34
Raskin can play that MaGregor role beside a new physical athletic midfielder.
We need better players around the good players we already have.

Would it be crazy to suggest trying to get aribo back? I for one would go down the road and pick him up.

Could we afford his wages now?

2.) 23 Jan 2023 11:05:05
McMill correct it’s simply people who don’t know how a market operates.

I have read quite a few posts from disgruntled fans recently and was wanting to add something to the mix. In Scotland if a team does well teams will come in and take the best of your squad and sometimes the manager as well. I predict over the coming years there will be nothing between us and them because like last year we did well the big teams come calling, this year they will loose their best players maybe even Ange when english teams offer big money, meaning us and that mob will never get consistency over any number of years as we will always be victims of our own success, do well = loose players. We simply haven't got the consistency of the last 2 years due to this fact and we just need to pull together to ensure our new players gain those levels if possible, if not then more comings and goings=more inconsistency for a period, it's a vicious circle.

Shoot me down if you want but I believe a lot of our problems have stemed since steven davis has left the team, he was our rock our go to guy. We have went from a team miles in front to a team playing catch up, I don't blame Gvb alone I blame the whole rangers family. Too many times this season us as fans have been too quick to judge but also Europa league has taken its toll on league form. We win as a club and we lose as a club, we need to back the players in a crisis but to be honest it's the draws after European nights that have cost us. Celtic aren't great but we have been mediocre when we needed to be great. We will rally again and we will build again watp.

I, like most on here want lunny to stay and I'm sure he will. Its ultimately his choice does he want money or does he want to be competing for trophies on a regular basis and getting a turn at European football. Yes go down south to a mid table team and spend your Saturdays chasing the ball around pitch hardly getting a touch and getting occasionally leathered by the quality of the top 4 down there. Or he could stay with us which speaks for itself, depends how much money is deemed enough and ultimately that's what happens in negotiations in any business it comes down to both party's to meet somewhere in the middle, he must stay IMO!

If Yilmaz goes why sign Doig for millions give the lad Devine his chance, ok he is naturally a right back but he could do a job on left no problems and has never let us down when utilised. we must start giving our youth a chance.

If shankland overlooked for this guy from Leeds I'd be more than disappointed. Doesn't even need to be shankland I just want a goalscorer any goalscorer someone who will actually score goals we don't need another link up player or assister.

I see a lot of talk regarding LB options and although I admit I know little of how good some of the names are as I don't watch them week in week out but I'd give young Devine a chance at LB because he is never moving Tav. Just saying give our youth a chance 1st before signing foreign youth players.

We need shankland more than them and I totally agree his goals could swing the league although the same could be said for plenty of strikers who actually see goal scoring as their primary job.

While I agree with a lot of the comments on here I disagree with restructuring our defence before the end of the season. I would stick sterling at RM to protect Tav and I would play balogun at lB if yilmaz not fit.

We bring all our own trouble on ourselves slack passing, misplaced passes, inability to win tackles or headers,   this tippy tappy nonsense around the box take a shot was all I was shouting at my tv. Worst performance of season some players just can't handle the pressure, after 1st half I'd take the draw but ultimately it could cost us dear with our inability to win at their dump, hope not!

Agreed decee they didn't trouble us too much I thought the only pressure brought on us was by ourselves being rather slack in some passing other than that, great shift put in and a great 3 points in the bag. Some weird calls from the ref today, thought the encroachment was a bad call as their player was in before wright and when their player feigned injury in the box and we were in an attack, then the drop ball went to them, bizarre. Get rested and look forward to next weekend. Watp!
