Was at a football charity function last night and was told by a very big prominent ex 'gers legend that if king & the 3 bears win control of the boardroom they want derek mcinnes as the new rangers manager/head coach at the end of the season with felix magath overseeing all other aspects as technical director whereas if the current board remain in place they want ian cathro as the new rangers head coach at the end of the season with mark wotte as the rangers technical director, what do you reckon ed & all rangers supporters regarding this because this came from a very trustworthy rangers legend who I believe to be in the know!

they might want cathro but they won't get him! he just signed a new contract with Valencia, That would be a lot of money to get him over here. Money Which I don't see us having any time soon.

How many pints had Mr Goram had before he drivelled that nonsense, we won't get Cathro, because we won't need a manager they will bring in bargain basement, someone who the board can tell what to do.

Yeah of course, catch Hearts, no sweat, we have been saying that all season, that they will have a dip, lose games, injuries blah blah blah, they have had all that and still we sit no where near them. When will the tune change? Hearts lose 1 game and it is all over for them, but we lose 5 and it is the "start of the onslaught". Same ol' drivel from the same ol' fans. Rangers are not what they used to be, even what they used to be is a figment of our imaginations, we teetered at the top of a poor league, strangled by both ourselves and Celtic, laughing as we trod them underfoot both financially and in turn on the pitch with no resistance and thought ourselves 'world class'. Now we are on a level playing field, we are no match for most of the Scottish top tier. All we do is overspend on old dross to keep the same ol' same ol' fans happy with names they 'used' to adore. Times, unlike us, moved on and have changed for the better, just like Hearts did, they "learned" from their near miss, what did we learn, SFA it seems. I will end there as I am bored of this now, fed up of the deluded self entitled fans of old dragging this club down even now.

My god son if only rangers had 20 thousand more fans like you , the dawn of a bright new era might have been a reality, one of the most honest statement's I have read on these page's.

BigWull, I think you and Goram would make a great comedy double act if you think Hearts can be caught and that there is any chance rangers can win every game till end off season.
But I must say well done for staying positive :-) :-)

Well said wan2many
Even when we dropped to the 3rd division everyone wanted us to buy big names. We had the biggest chance given to us on a plate to build and develop a hungry young team who would give us a solid footing for the future but look at the sad state of our team against celtic today. Full of hasbeens with no drive and enthusiasm. It was an embarrassment to watch. Even the team themselves were looking over the shoulders when they had the ball as they expected a celtic player to be at their back. How many balls did we loose today because of this? No confidence, ability, pace or invention.
