John is the 1 in h. soutter? I really don't think relying solely on matondo for proper width is a risk we can afford to take.

Will depend on who goes out. At the moment we've added roofe and lawrence back into the mix can't see us going for another attack minded player at all. Until january maybe. Harry Souttar would be nicem.

StevieG2. All opinions, but it's the part of the team for me we must improve. Both Tav and Barasic good going forward . both poor at defending. Yilmaz at 5m has been constantly injured - would love to get our cash back on him and Davies for that matter and Sterling (who looks a tidy solid lad defensively) can't get a game infront of Tav? Our CBs took a lot of stick last season, but neither side have quality when it come to actual defending! The space left at times is frightening. Good teams will exploit that.

We have the two worst fullbacks in the SPL.
But one scores shed loads of goals and the other has a sweet left foot when it suits him!
I would prefer two proper defending full backs and rely on the outfield to score the goals.
That's a discion which needs to be made by Beale.
It's a brave one but one which would make us stronger!

Balogun can cover both fullback berths also. Reading about it being the week part of our side and I do agree to an extent but they are left exposed at times for sto the way we play. On another note I'd like Harry Souttar in and I'd also look at the possibility of adding another attacking player with direct pace.

Our two fullbacks are the two best crossers of a ball in the team, probably the league and IMO not as completely useless defensively as people like to make out. Both had some poor games obviously. Beale’s system allows us to exploit their best traits going forward with one of the CMs dropping back to form a 3 for cover which IMO is more than enough to cope in this league considering 90% of teams sit back and have one up top. Our team will be fine defensively with Goldson and Souttar and if we play our attacking football, put teams under pressure and keep the ball up the field with the quality we have there we’ll score buckets. We never had a settled back at any stage last season and that was a huge issue. Them lot had and it made a world of difference, 55 season we did aswell and it created a great foundation and confidence going into games. More than happy with our squad at the moment and a big bonus with one or two more in.

Have another look at Barasic at the Killie goal, clueless and dozy any prospect of challenging in the air or rough stuff and he's not to be found . And at that fannying about tactic at the back and keeper gives it to him it's pumped up the line to nobody or out of play.

Both Tav and Borna have been rather poor especial last season.
Tav gets away with it because he is the captain and does score goals (penalties shouldn't count though since let's be honest, most people can score a penalty)

Both of their crossing has been crap. and seems pointless both of them running across the pitch to take the corners.

It think Davies will leave and we will get cooper or souttar. I don't know if we will get another attacking player since matondo has came onto a game and also Lawrence back I might be wrong tho. I would like us to sign a solid cdm though not sure if jack's fitness is the greatest and not convinced on lunny based on last season.

Folk claiming Tav and Borna are poor need their heads examined. Borna has set up more chances than any other player this season. Their outputs are huge, yet they get criticised whenever a goal goes in near them. Our system is based on getting them in to attacking positions, with midfielders employed to cover them. They're more like midfielders than defenders, and that's the job they're asked to play. That obviously comes with risks, but no defender in world football puts up their numbers while at the same time being water tight at the back, it's not humanly possible to cover that kind of ground.

Both have played well defensively past three / four games . As the knowledgable on here say our system makes them push forward and beal encourages that and it works . On sat you saw Conner covering most times.
Some determined just to whip and gripe .

I agree Molsgoals and have said it countless times on here. Tav gets the blame of everything mate and is to some, not all the whipping boy ?If you scrutinized everything within a game there's a mistake of some sort for any opposing team that scores against you and that's just football ?.

Some of the comments on Tav and Borna are downright ridiculous. Yo-Jimbo hits the nail on the head by fully explaining the job s that these guys are being asked to do. In our league the CDM dropping back will allow for Tav and Borna to concentrate on the expansive side of their game and make us a far more potent force.
A wise man once said that Patience is a virtue . many on hear should abide by that!

I keep saying our system leaves full backs exposed and we struggle to get away with it against good teams . Tav and Borna are our most creative players, just look at the assists column, and while it would be good if our forward players were doing it, you can`t just get rid of the two of them and hope it will all work out . Jeez the new guys haven`t even replaced the goals of Colak, Sakala and Morelos yet. As for the Killie goal, whatever happened before it, it fell to Souttars feet and he should have cleared it, end of .

Some players are just made the fall guy by certain fans and it seems to stick yet others who have done very little IMO are made out to be world beaters. Raskin gets constant plaudits yet he has possibly the worst ball retention in our team currently. He could do with spending a bit of time on the training pitch with Steven Davis to work on that. Unbelievable potential but he’s a long way off the finished article and needs to focus more during games. They all need to prove it over the season and win trophies.

thing is same as kent matondo blows hot n cold really been impressive recently but it's too much just too rely on him, we still need an injection of pace n good kent like replacement

if we got souter n a wide player we could really be the complete unit

enough too play high press n through the middle n n a few options out wide too mix it up, sima, matondo, n somone else ?.
