Morning Guys
Well we are definitely off to a disappointing start against a defensively well drilled Kilmarnock side on Saturday. I previously commented that our "narrow" style would perhaps become problematic especially if we are too rely on Tav/ Borna as our attacking wide players. The impending sale of Sakala may be a real mistake unless we have one or two wide player purchases in the pipeline.
Finally, SPFL Football should not be allowed on these artificial pitches (even worse when they are left dry! ), it is never a good spectacle ever.

First time contributor.
I have read many differing viewpoints over the last couple of years and have enjoyed the friendly banter that takes place.
With this in mind i thought it would be good to see if my opinion and concerns regarding the current playing set-up were shared by others.
1. We are far too narrow as a middle-to-front Team. Both Tav and Borna/ Ridvan are being brutally exposed in this set-up.
2. No wingers in the front 3 may come back to haunt us.
3. It may take more than this season to bed in our new recruits so the Manager has to be given ample time.

For a first post, you've nailed the first 2 points, very well put. The 3rd point? Well, I don't know If MB will get "ample time", mate?!

Welcome Cs9, agree with first 2 points mate, but mb has been well backed so if he doesn't win the league he'll be gone IMHO.

I think even if we finish 2nd as long as we put up a fight to the end and do not bad in Europe maybe win a cup, then Beale deserves next season aswell
As long as we’re competitive this season he can’t be ousted.
All very good points and if we don’t sort the lack of cover for the fullbacks then we need to change them.
Tav bb ridvan need cover from centre mids or their strengths become a weakness it’s not their fault the system is exposing them.

I wouldn’t be surprised if we bring a winger in before the deadline.
We probably need to offload a few that aren’t good enough either for fees or loans first to make that happen.

Some of the comments on Tav and Borna are downright ridiculous. Yo-Jimbo hits the nail on the head by fully explaining the job s that these guys are being asked to do. In our league the CDM dropping back will allow for Tav and Borna to concentrate on the expansive side of their game and make us a far more potent force.
A wise man once said that Patience is a virtue . many on hear should abide by that!

Very well balanced and thought out post Thestigno1. A bit more calmness and deep breathing from our support would help everyone settle. The new players are starting to look good and the results will hopefully follow. An extra centre half would hopefully allow us to play three at the back and push Tav and Borna that bit further up the park as, in my opinion, the current narrow midfield is hampering both these guys in that they're having to create width in the forward areas plus get back and defend. Not an easy task!
