Top 5 early favourites with bookies:

Muscat 10/ 3
Potter 5/ 1
Marsche 11/ 2
Hassenhuttl 15/ 2
Knutsen 8/ 1

So that being said it will be none of them as the bookies seldom get it right at the start of a managerial search lol.

With exception of muscat i'd take any off them.

2.) 01 Oct 2023

I wouldn’t fancy Jesse marsche, would ideally like Knutsen.

3.) 01 Oct 2023

You not a fan of Muscat John? Are any of those mentioned there if the 3 people you have heard about?

4.) 01 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 23:24:47
I agree with you there John. Muscat too risky. First choice is Potter but would take any of the other 4 ????????.

5.) 01 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 23:46:39
Decent list of managers.

6.) 02 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 23:47:21
Are you saying any of them but Muscat John?

7.) 02 Oct 2023
01 Oct 2023 23:50:33
You'd take marsche over muscat?

Have to give it to you. Thought I'd seen some mental shouts on here but that's right up there.

One of the worst premier league managers ever. A genuine laughing stick.

Suits us at this moment.

01 Oct 2023 23:58:40
Isnkt Potter still getting stupid money on gardening leave from Chelsea? Is he going to walk away from all that money for us? Is that realistic?

I don't think Knutsen or Muscat would take it either. When they do decide to move it will be under more favourable circumstances. If they come here and fail, which is likely, it’s game over for them. Too risky.

Don't know much about the other 2.

9.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 00:14:32
Jeez,

Bookies opened book already. They've smelled this on cards and wrote up weeks ago.

10.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 00:28:46
I reckon we could offer Potter a pretty decent package to get him. He was on 2.5million a year at Brighton. We could get pretty close to that. Yeah he is still getting paid by Chelsea but he is going to have to come back at somepoint and build his stock back up similar to Brenda when he got sacked by Liverpool and went to them. He is within our reach ??????.

11.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 00:39:06
Marshe's record is horrendous.

12.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 01:10:46
Gazers apparently his pay out is £20 million off Chelsea over so many years and his contract was around £10 million a year there he’s out rangers reach.

13.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 02:53:00
Muscat has done it in two different countries played for rangers and knows alternative markets I wouldn't totally rule him out but I tend to agree with John that I would want someone of higher standing.

Hassenhuttl is one worth a punt
Knutsen I'm not convinced when a manager hasn't left his own country before as manager culture shock would be too much. Marsche I'm not a fan

I hope it's a left field appointment maybe Spanish or Italian manager who might know how to get the best out of our seria A signings.

14.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 02:54:40
We can't get potter for three reasons
1.Chelsea pay off
2.expected wages
3.expected payoff If it didn't work out

We either need an older head or someone on way up that won't cost a lot.

15.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 02:56:20
For me the league is probably already gone so even if it's a gamble manager if we have a get out would be enough time to move on again if doesn't work so if it's an untested away from home Knutsen or someone like that now would be the time.

16.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 05:51:55
My left field appointment for our manager's job would be the Argentine marcelo gallardo guys ?.

17.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 05:55:41
Jesse Marsche would be a quivering wreck up here. A truly horrendous manager. I hope your kidding John when you say you'd have him mate.
We ain't getting Potter as he would be too expensive so looks like Muscat which would be another gamble.

18.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 06:50:00
As long as we get the right man I do not care how long it takes - care/ due diligence and research backed by proven winning stats - the board MUST get all the necessary boxes ticked this time and get experience in the door and not somebody left field who is cheap and available at this moment and who is not a project or a yes man.

19.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:11:14
The bodo manager for me is a bit or a risk done good in ones league him for me is a risk.

20.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:13:30
If Beale was wrongly sacked and his signings were actually so good why would you think the next managers were likely to fail? After all we have one hand on the cup.

21.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:14:24
NRD let’s wait and see. It’s not about rubbishing everyone post at the drop of a hat.

Look at many of the salaries they r on. We r not able to pay them.

22.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:17:20
Problem for me is the Muscat train seems to be similar to the beale express, in that everyone wanted him but really hadn't seen anything of him or his style as a manager. Your not sitting there telling me that you have all followed Muscats manager career now? That's worse than "aw that player is amazing from the afghan league, I watch it religiously". Muscat is another risk for our league. Just cause he worked with ange, doesn't mean he is ange.

23.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:21:36
Of those 5, Potter, Rabbithutch or Knutsen would do nicely.

24.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:22:02
Muscat and Alex Rae were good mates at Wolves?

25.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:37:36
Muscat is the one I would want out of them. Ange came out and said he’s the next best up and coming manager. Took over from him twice and won the league. Plays attacking football also.

26.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:38:58
One of my friends in Australia told me that Muscat has been mooted as the next Rangers manager for a few weeks now. Obviously there's a lot of click bait on the topic but you wouldn't expect much traction in Australia if there wasn't anything in it.

27.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 07:39:10
Potter is just Beale 2.0 talks the same. Bores you to tears and doesn’t have any bottle.

28.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 08:03:46
The clamour for Muskat is ludicrous. HE shouldn't be allowed to see a photo of Ibrox never mind manage the Rangers. I'm happy to be corrected but isn't he on record as saying he couldn't wait to leave the club when he was there as a thug, I mean player? Honestly feel that he's only wanted because he was Postecoglu's assistant, and that's something that needs to be remembered, the Tims would be all over that fact if we appointed him. For me, we have to make a real effort to go for Potter, failing that I'm not convinced I would be happy with anyone on that list.

29.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 08:18:14
What's your insider contacts saying John? Have they mentioned any names? What about the current player you text yesterday about Beale? Has he said anything?

30.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 08:25:13
Biggest thing for me is I want a winner, a manager with a proven past to get over the line. Not a Beale or a Gerrard try and see manager we need a serial winner. We can't bash any league a manager wins in as our league is terrible compared to most.

31.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 08:49:26
I will support whoever our next managers is. Muscat is more than just successor to Ange, he has proved to know how to win on 2 different continents.
Whether it's him or another I just want a guy who is a proven winner. Someone whos main desire is just to win. If they play nice football then that's a bonus.
We either go down that road or use this as a watershed moment and make our club one where we promote youth and have a sprinkle of experience through the spine. A couching philosophy of good attacking football.

32.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 09:10:07
Potter ain’t out our reach. Yes his Chelsea contract was mega money but he got a 13 million pay off from them and owes them nothing. He was on 2 million a year at Brighton. We had Gerrard on 2.5 million a year. Brenda got silly money for his time at Leicester and Liverpool but went to them. As I said I strongly believe we can get him and he will come. The Rangers job just now is one of the most challenging in football. European football a bonus. Once he turns us around his stock is massive again.

33.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 09:10:34
Raise, the player did not know Beale was officially gone,

I’m being told by couple of contacts Bennett wants dof then manager. Also manager won’t be scottish, a Scot may make the new management structure if it’s not Davison structure

It seems souness is advising Bennett, the,
Main name is Pascal. This guy not available till May

Ricky I se muscat as another project

Finty I don't think we can afford a serial winner as u call it.

34.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 09:20:59
John I'm not rubbishing your post.
I'm simply stating that Marsche would be a worse appointment than Beale
I think you've enough footballing sense to see that. I've not been disrespectful I'm just stating a fact that if they appointed him we are f@%d!

35.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 09:35:17
Isle of Mull … welcome my friend… missed all our joists .
For me ang has done not much wrong and if he is recommending muskat I don’t think that can be sniffed at.

36.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 09:52:00
Anyone slagging Potter and Billy Reid is an idiot . These guys find players and make fortunes from them as well as build clubs to a level they have no right to be really . Billy even did it with the Accies, if we could get them it would be fantastic.

37.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 09:57:41
See Souness in directors box on Sat! Has he had change of heart to come back in some capacity to help out?

38.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 10:29:34
Good call SWS.

39.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 10:38:09
Agree John I don’t think we can afford to go out and get a top drawer manger as we don’t have the funds to seriously back someone like that. Top managers want to compete in the champions league or the epl and we simply cannot compete with that. Next manager will be another project which comes with risk…it’s simply a case of getting it right. Think a dof will be in first which could be souness? I think he fancies the boy Jansen from alkmaar who is also getting touted by the likes of de boer and Arthur numan. Whoever comes in needs time. Beale would have got that if we were making progress and playing decent stuff but unfortunately we could see neither. Next appointment is huge or we run the risk of going round in circles.

40.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 11:17:42
Have to say I am leaning towards Jansen.
Not just because he is doing well with currently unfashionable AZ. He appears to have a good record in respect of coaching, and profitably moving players on whilst keeping his teams competitive.
Not coached in UK I get but born in London and English very good. Maybe not a blockbuster appointment but I believe less risky than Muscat with more upside
Agree that also working under a DOF would take some heat off and allow him to coach.

41.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 11:19:54
A lot of hurdles to get over if Potter is achievable, good chance instalments from Chelsea stop as soon as he takes another job and the fact he will be on every EPL list in the manager merry go round starts down there.

42.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 11:32:05
I agree with Johns post, re Bennett wanting dof first, personally I would go flat out for Dave Weir, then management and players would be easier to identify.

43.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 12:17:47
Muscat is a hothead that could be a disaster. Didn't work out for him in Belgium. People. only kee. On him because of the Ange comparison. Can you imagine how hilarious that lot would find it if we try to copy them and flop?

44.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 12:37:18
How well does Dvid Weir know players overseas, and if he is that good why would he leave his current job to come up to Scotland where he would have a lesser budget. That said, the same could be argued for any top quality DoF.
Whoever comes in will need to be given a proper budget and that means we need to find more investment or Bisgrove needs to land a couple of mega deals, or both.

45.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 13:56:22
We can`t wait to May to appoint a new manager, that would mean writing off another season and the new guy starting from scratch to build a team for Euro qualifiers, probably the Conference League, by that time. We would just as well have left Beale in charge until then and hoped that getting the injured players back would solve our problems.

46.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 14:06:52
As John has highlighted, Bennett want a DoF in ahead of a managerial appointment and that makes sense to me since a top quality DoF will have exceptional contacts both in Management and in terms of players.

Im just not sure who we could get that would be willing to come to us but I would gladly take Guiseppe Marotta, currently at Inter Milan, or someone of that standing.

I find it interesting that Souness is being involved by Bennett since he still has an exceptional contact list in particular in Italy and his contacts are not just limited to football.

47.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 16:23:36
Derek waiting in the wings.

48.) 02 Oct 2023
02 Oct 2023 16:45:44
NRD I’m not meaning u rubbing my post, what I mean I’m not rubbish another poster. Any one better than Beale

Yes we can wait till May for correct manager. We actually need to develop a strategy and work to it

Why employ muscat mcinnes et all who both likely not to survive two years.
