Seen online comment that BBC are reporting that Danillo and Lawrence out for rest of year with Danillo possibly needing surgery?

Just my opinion but the way Danilo has been playing, recently, he won't be missed. Yes his mobility and effort is good but the chances he misses and his goals to games ratio don't make good reading. Hopefully we can get and keep Roofe fit until January at least.

For me personally I think we push Sima up top until January and bring in either Matondo who will bring us pace and directness or we go to a back 3 and push Tav and whoever is going to be LB on. We seem to have the worst luck in bringing in players that struggle to stay fit. Roofe is fit again just now but again for how long.

Was there a sarcastic clap of hands made towards PC by Cantwell last night as he was subbed or am I just reading too much into things (did anyone else catch this moment)? - looked like that on TV - time will tell whether we see TC on Sunday for semi? Also I know we blame forwards for missing so much but to be quite honest we have no creativity in midfield and the long hopeful balls from Goldson found touch too often (better suited to Murrayfield) so forwards who's movement was on whole poor were totally starved last night - no movement and no creativity = same old same old!

With yesterday now over and 3pts safely in bag we can look to next Sunday.
For me we must be more solid and aggressive in midfield as I feel that we have been given lessons in past by McGregor - assuming he plays this cannot happen again. McGregor and O Reilly have run the show too many times and if we shut them down we stop the supply to up top but this demands constant pressure on them all match - no lying off.
Also should Kyogo play I would be man marking him and forget about this zonal pish which does my box in (too many times he has left our CHs in his wake) - therefor do our best to nullify in midfield and keep Kyogo quiet and we will be smiling come Sunday at 2pm - I know its easier said than done but we must try to have this gameplan imo.
My bugbear still has to be our woeful use of corners - don't you think lads? - why oh why do we persist with outswingers when the few times we try inswingers we create panic (as most teams do against us) - let's mix it up Phil and not be too predictable - as our success rate from these set pieces on the whole have been horrendous - let's utilise them better by at least beating first man or giving the big lads some decent delivery. Its no point getting loads of corners in a game and getting a really poor return imho.

I'd like Stirling in the middle of the park next Sunday. There's far too much of a gap between our CBs and midfielders at times. There were far too many slick passes from Silva and Lundstram yesterday leading to counter attacks. We need another midfielder in there and Stirling is the man for the job imo.

Good points made Floyd and what we need to improve on massively in our game is aggression, aggression in the middle of the park to dominate the play aggression at the back when we lose sloppy goal yesterday being prime example and aggression in the opposition box when attack corner kicks. We need far more of it throughout the team. Celtic are a confidence side if we let them settle sit off and let them build momentum it could be a long day, the one thing they are better at than us is being aggressive and clinical but that only comes into play if we allow it imo.

Lads -Its all conjecture re money on offer so let's just wait and what SG/ Saudis offer - if indeed they are interested - Saudis will realise that buying from Scot Prem will be a lot less than the riches of English Prem League, so if its true the club will go through a major overhaul - which lbh has really been needed since our return to the big league - will be keen to see who Koppen/ PC want to bring in and hopefully we can have a decent spine to team with players who won't shy away from winning - its a big ask but can be done! - but truthfully this will take a good few windows imo!

Otters/ GJD - Was of same opinion when he was at Ayr and many of my Gers supporting mates were the same at that time and wanted us to give him a go then - football snobbery got in way - our lower leagues have given Scotland some great talent over the years - hopefully we get back to a stage of signing good Scottish talent in its youth and get some identity back too.

My gut feeling is that the time is right for change- so should Goldson and Tavs leave that's fine (plus good few others no doubt) - the old school have done their job and time for some new recruits - they have done as much as they can for the club and if we leave it longer again there will be no cash at all from them in any resale value so thanks for the memories and let's see the new regime take shape big Phil?.

Monty - Agree re Matondo - just another flash in pan winger type who brings something to table one game in five if we are lucky - as I previously mentioned can't remember when he has started a game without being hooked and producing any great things when he has started - we need someone with more consistency and Cortez kinda looked that guy until injured- and spot on Pauly a good solid window in summer needs to set us up as we have had many false dawns with windows filled with over expensive under achievers with no resale value in recent past -our hopes and dreams are in your hands Phil!
