Bobby's point about DofF being closer to home might be right. Boy in our bus texted last night to say he's heard it's Neil McCann.

No experience in that role so hope that's not the case - like NMc but not for that area in Ibrox pls.

I actually think either McCann or McInnes would make a very decent DoF. Both articulate and intelligent men who would hopefully ensure that our Scottish identity is recaptured; a factor that will only help us with European campaigns. I know this won’t be a popular view but life would be dull if we all thought the same, ken?

I could definitely see Neil McCann in the DOF role. I'm hoping we hear something this afternoon ?.

I keep hearing about our Scottish identity being recaptured but we simply can't afford any of the quality players that are Scottish that would actually make a difference since they have generally moved on to better things.
We need to start using the technology that is available to identify the best up and coming players worldwide and get them when they are young, before they have made a name for themselves.
The only way that we will secure quality Scottish players that are now at their peak is when they are on the way down and we can pick them up on a free or for a low cost. I don't see either McInnes or Neil McCann coming as our Dog, maybe bringing one of them in as an Assistant to whoever gets the Managers Job, but not DoF.
It pains me to say it but I suspect that Park will simple be promoted, it's the cheap option and he could probably do the job.

More to the DOF role than scouting players so much as I like McCann don`t think he`s qualified for that role . McInnes, I have already said the only job I would give him at Ibrox as kitman with Barry Ferguson as his assistant .
