Would also show we do have the money to spend as I’m going to assume it will be a big outlay for him from our perspective would imagine in excess of 6-7 even 8 million pounds for him
and would also suggest how much the manager thinks of him

if we do sign Sima on a permanent do we think that will be it for this window and look at more the summer for moving some on and brining in some more?

I'm certainly not against signing Sima, but don't really think that's the best use of resource right now with the gaps we have in the first team (a no 9), and wider squad. Here's hoping the fee is deferred till summer, and that it's not too ridiculous. I like him but anything over 6 or 7m is a hell of a lot for us to spend on one player.

John, CF5 also said it was fantasist to suggest we bid £8m for any player? So if he’s to be believed then it’s not Sima. I also don’t think he’s worth that money. His goals have been good but his general play in a lot of games isn’t great.

Wait until summer, there will be no Sima, Clement already stated he would make move for Sima in the winter transfer window, those that pay attention to his press conferences already know this, 5-6 million is more likely the price, surely Clement has also realised this guy is a CF in the making.
Sima won't be the only signing, my bet is there are 2 more coming in and likely both wingers.
Also as stated by Clement in his recent Press conference, Yilmaz is not unsettled or unhappy at rangers, he is staying end of.

Don't think it would cost 8m for Sima, think 5-6m would get him maybe with add ons, but also not sure if we'd sign him while he's away, unless he's already agreed to it.
There's no doubt in my mind John that we have money to spend, but also that we are trying to be as diligent as possible while spending it, I think you were right about the Denkey bid, if we'd got him we would make money on him IMO.

We got too confident we would get a bigger offer for Kent and Morelos when they were both valued around 12-15 mill, should have taken the money from Leeds 12 mill for Kent and the 15 mill from Porto for Morelos when we had the chance, blame the board and DOF, hey took a gamble and it did not pay off, and even by the time they both left on a free, there combined value had decreased but was still 7-9 mill range each.
