Genuine question, why would we increase Shankland wages? He can stay are hearts on the same money and play infront of 15k fans. Have a couple of European games a season and hope to finish third every few seasons. Or come to rangers, play infront if 50k fans, expect to win the league and expect to play in the champions league.

Why would we even consider paying him more money for that? We should be paying him less money?

Why would he come for less money? Would you move jobs for less money? he's going to start need to look for a big pay day as footballer isn't a long career and he's not exactly on great money.

Would you go for a promotion in work for no extra money?

He won’t come for the same or less money that’s why.

When I was 14 I said I'd play for Rangers for the bus fare I still stand by that, I'm now a father of two at the age of 40 and as much as I love my club and hate my job there is absolutely no way on earth i'd leave it for a pay cut, he's 29 years young in life and 29 years old in football, it's utter madness to suggest the love of our club would make him even consider a pay cut.

Common Dado ? That's why we have better players than hearts and can attract better players than hearts ie. a much bigger football club who pay bigger wages as we have a much bigger turnover than them.

I still can’t see why we’d give him more money to come to a better and bigger club with more bigger games. If you had the choice of hearts or rangers for the same money where would you go?

You do know we give Rabbi Matondo and Kamar Roofe massive wages to do virtually nothing? Big matches mean more pressure to succeed. I've honestly read some nonsense but this one beats them all.

Dado you would struggle to get players in.

This would be his last opportunity to make decent money for his family, short career and all that. IF he is coming I doubt we are breaking the bank on wages, would expect a relatively small increase in wages but would expect incentives for goal scoring, assists, wins etc to be good.

Matondo is on near 30. old chocolate legs is 35k a week. Sure shankland be wanting a little more than 7k.
